@@bettyboop1003 the whole country suffers power outages, more in the rainy season even the airport 🤦🏾♀️ but you have to prepare for that and get the money for a backup system. I experienced 3 nights of awful power within 6 months of living here and that was enough for me to find the £1000 to set up an inverter back up system. I ain’t trying to live the struggle life at all I’ve worked to hard in life to feel like I’m melting when the power cuts off. I live in a village not far from the main areas of Gambia but no place is too far anymore with the new roads most places are easy to access. I live among locals and don’t really see much diaspora in my village area but I live with my husband and my in laws are about a 5 minute walk away.

Two had terminal illnesses before moving to Gambia, one did a long water fast and health deteriorated drastically and the other ones was an elderly lady who died of natural causes.

I live in Gambia and that is a complete lie. I know the lady found in the well and was on the phone to my good good friend at the point they found her body before the police had arrived. That is the only murder of a diaspora lady in the Gambia I was also friends with Andrea and part of the group of ladies trying to support her in hospital after a lengthy water fast that made her deteriorate. I know of 3 other deaths that have been natural causes and 2 of the ladies actually had terminal illnesses before moving to gambia. When people don’t know the truth they make up stories.
Get your facts right. Where do you get that information from? Do not believe all you see online. Some content creators were fabricating stories about these women to get engagement on their channels. That is a big FAT LIE

I've heard from GOBLACK about some killings of diasporan women in the Gambia. As someone living there can you shed some light on that?

Umm and how many have murdered in the US? Majority of those killings were done by foreigners not Gambians
