A photographic record of how a shell of a building, Battersea Power Station on a disused industrial estate changed to this massive modern development as seen from the opposite bank of the River Thames, London
Battersea Power station is an iconic building that dominates the skyline
This video shows how the Power Station site has changed from before the development in 2010 until 2022 when it reopened.
The video includes the removal and replacement of all 4 amazing chimneys
Includes a sequence of images taken from the same place from 2015 to 2022 clearly showing the detail of the change
I was fortunate to be able to photograph Battersea Power Station over many years and record the significant changes as the site was developed.

I work in the hospital directly across the river from the power station, it’s been amazing watching the iconic beautiful building come back to life. It was however awful to see it without its four iconic towers but thankfully back to normal now :)
I'm originally from Battersea and remember seeing the power station working as a kid. So cool how it's been transformed now and thank you for your great video detailing the changes since construction commenced. Really hope they reinstate the coal cranes from the jetty area, as I believe this was part of the original plan?

Hello from Dublin,
As with the Redevelopment of Battersea...Dublin Dockland's(River Liffey) has been Transformed over the last 22 year's.
The One thing that I miss most are the Crain's that used to Line the South Bank for unloading Ship's.
Why they were not Treasured as a Prominent Fixture or Example of the Past Use of the Dock's bewilder's me as I used to be Enthrawled by their Shear Size and Pesence.
Thanks, on the Cranes I was surprised they were not put back as they have been in several parts of London Docklands. I remember them very clearly when on trains going into Victoria Station
should've kept the cranes definately !
the cranes were taken to Tilbury to 'be restored' and haven't been seen since

Why did they nearly cover the outside of the great building you can hardly see it. I dont mind a few skyscrapers and and few buildings. But come on.
I thought the cranes were being reinstated when the underground stations were built... As far as Im aware they havent reappeared?
Yes, they have not reappeared yet!
I went to Battersea Park for the first time in Spring last year (very nice park, it has a pagoda and everything) and I happened upon the new Battersea Power station complex. Very impressive, but would you actually want to live there?

From icon to eyesore. They've knocked lots of it down, inserted no end of new windows and raised the ground level around it so that the director's entrance is now in this bizarre courtyard thing. So much for it being grade ii* listed eh
Do you have any images of Biggin HIll or Bromley from the past?
Sorry I don't think I have. I have some pictures from the Biggin Hill air show but that was nearly all aeroplanes

Dapat projek power station tapi jadi shopping komplek, mesti ada yg tak kena.
nyata kau ini lupa ke power station dah tutup sejak 1983.Ramai developer dah Cuba maju tapi Gagal hingga konsortium dari Malaysia berjaya majukan.
