- So why does this Toy Grade Land Rover Defender D110 cost so much!
I don't know...but what I do know is you can get much better Hobby Grade Crawlers for the same money, or cheaper!

I'm not sure why Carson have priced this Land Rover at £169! It's a Cheap RC Car, but also very much a Toy Grade! My advice is to buy one similar to the ones I've listed above!
The FTX Outback is probably one of the Cheapest RC Crawlers money can buy. And it's Very good, and fits nicely in to the RC Cars under $200 bracket.

already know about axle issue if you're TOO rough with them, so not had any problem with it yet.
I have been wondering this as well. I believe there are two different versions of this rc. The one you have is the cheap, toy-grade model. Afterwards, they released a more hobby grade version. This model has a lot of metal upgrades, oil shocks, fully proportional, etc. Basically, they fixed all the flaws your model has. Double E's higher end stuff is usually really nice.
I've got the bigger hobby grade one as well. Really like it

I don't know who made this Carson rc but they have expensive prices for all. In Germany you find everywhere Carson. I saw In one store a wpl b24 I think with 60e.that was the 1 version. They just rebrand thing and sell for double the money

Hi phil theres a 3rd version of that landrover with opening doors n bonnet int there with a full interior and i think its bigger than both of them int it n its a 1/8th aswell u no wat one im on about
That's the Double e official one , John , this one is made by them for Carson , it's complete rubbish , not the same vehicle at all ?
@@williamspruce7084 I think there's 2 sizes, the "1/8" which double e and Carson sell and then the "1/7" that double e sells it has see through windows/interior and more metal parts. Might be all the same size in reality but there's definitely 2 types. The more basic one with stick on windows and the higher quality one with transparent windows.

Now that is an absolute joke for £154. RIP OFF doesn't begin to describe the price tag ! It doesn't look much more technical than my New Bright Ford Raptor. The body certainly isn't anywhere near as detailed as a New Bright. I hope this video is seen by plenty of people researching before they buy. Well done for making it Phil 👍

Banggood has that baby on sale right now, the higher grade one is fairly cheap as well. After making my purchase yesterday through your link I browsed around a little and getting the higher grade as well as the 1/18 6x6.
They are hoping people confuse the two and pay top price for the lower quality.
One has opening doors which is of course the higher grade one
I have the bigger Hobby Grade one as well.

Phil, Great video. This is not worth more than $50.00 US and even at that why would you spend that when you can get a wltoys that is actually way better and you can upgrade and repair the wltoys. In the USA we have a brand called NEW BRIGHT. They look just like this Carson brand and sell for about 50.00 at Wal-Mart. Granted the New Bright are probably even worse with Non-proportional steering and worse shocks etc... Total Junk. Shame how people try to rip off others who do not know or understand anything about RC.

what's nice about NewBright is they're so cheap they fail, then people near give them away or throw them away. slapped a Jeep Rubicon body onto a WPL C-chassis looks really nice!
Depender 😂😂😂 I have a 1/18 toy grade which has the exact same 'shocks' They only travel about half a cm. 🤦🏻♂️

What happened to the other double EE 1/8 110 you up graded and broke brought drive shafts from your link they dont fit would love to see up date on truck what broke and how you got the drive shafts to link
I broke the Diffs last time out, so just waiting to have time to strip it down. If it's all proportional I would call it a hobby-grade but a really bad one!

12428 and its clones can be made pretty beastly without spending a bundle.
