It's not resin, it's liquid latex... in my latest video that I posted this past Sunday, I go through a lot of detail of the dos and don'ts of using liquid latex on a board like this
I had a quick question...when you do your top coats on the boards are you also putting liquid latex alo gthe edge of the resin on the top of the board?
yes, usually it's painter's tape, but I wanted to try liquid latex and it worked well too. There are some tricks to it, I'll need to make another video to explain...
This video was first published over 2 years ago, unfortunately, the company has since closed their website. You may need to do an online search for iridescent flakes to find a supplier near you.
When you do the top coat the shinny bit on the board after the golden line was that liquid latex to prevent the resin from touching the wood or not? Thanks
ABSOLUTELY stunning as always. I find it very hard to record and speak at the same time 🤦🏼♀️ You doing great, I would not notice if you haven’t explained.
Hi, would you have anything to say to trying to embed fake Fall leaves into a tray mold? (guess I can't include a picture here) Maybe treat them with anything first...? Separate sbjct: as to dimensional paint, just buy off of Amazon? (I'm thinking to buy some brown dimensional paint to try to draw "branch like" lines in the leaf tray. ***I hope you receive this and can answer me back. Thank you.***
Hey Cathy - for the leaves - I would treat it the same as my dried flower tutorials... they'll need to be fully dried and preferably flattened (I don't have any tutorials on that part of the process, so maybe do a quick search for that first). Once dried and flattened, you can likely spray with a clear varnish / laquer to ensure it's protected. For dimensional paint, amazon or any craft store like Michaels should have what you need. Best wishes!🥰
Oh, and I watched about 4+ of your videos I can't wait to start using the dimension paint on the resin mold trays. That will make things so much easier. And I get stressed "too" when I'm working with resin and the 40-ish minute work time to get it all done. Back to the leaves, they arent dried leaves. They are fake ones from Amazon and they do have lifted up parts on them. So, how do you flatten them out first? ~~unless this is where your suggesting I try to Google the answer. 🤔

I find it very hard to record and speak at the same time 🤦🏼♀️
You doing great, I would not notice if you haven’t explained.
🥰😅 it's definitely a challenge some times! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!
I liked the videos where you overvoice it more than this type!
💕thank you for the feedback!
