Some guys I know got into a conversation with the old composers, and the game went through a last minute change. Ebbe in the description has done a lot more research into this than myself, and if you're interested in learning more, there's no better person to ask than him! Also I 100% agree, this game is phenomenal!! :DDD
@@Flynny hey can you tell me the name of that song in the intro? I cannot find it for the life of me. The nostalgia that brought was immense thank you.
5:56 This enemy is actually described in the design documents found on the Australian Press Kit Assets disc: "Loads of Liz-hard enemies will be positioned on the platforms and will lash out at Sparx with their long tongues." "Other enemies will need to be placed in combination with Liz-hards to create the challenge for Spyro. For example: if Spyro is not careful and allows a Liz-hard to catch Sparx he will then have to try to survive the area and avoid other enemies without taking a further hit or he will die and be returned to the last re-start point. " Also, these enemies actually appear in the final game, but only in the first Sparx minigame.
It's interesting that Blink was originally going to be called Blinky. He was actually called Blinky in the crossover game Crash Bandicoot Purple (and probably also Spyro Orange?) for Game Boy Advance, which released a few months before A Hero's Tail. I wonder why it was changed.
@@Flynny Yeah, I'd heard the same, but I played Crash Purple last week and enjoyed it more than I expected. I'm not saying it's a good game by any means, but it has a few decent mini-games, and the bonus rounds are genuinely good classic Crash platforming. The fact that it's quite short probably helped too. Spyro Orange is supposedly very repetitive, and seems to have an even worse reputation.
The huts got moved to Costal remains with different enemies spawning from the huts, as the huts appear to be more of a costal appeal and not so much a dark musty jungle appeal..
Remake/remaster and a sequel *PLEEEASE!* With the same gameplay & composers. 😊💜

@@LoveHzOfficial Yeah it's from Crocovile Swamp, like half way thru the song :)

Oooooooh nice!
The dark realms is such a better name than a heros tail
The Dark Realms makes sense with the Dark Gems and kinda ties into Shadow Legacy in title theme a bit more smoothly.
My favorite part about this game is the harry potter test level hidden in the files

Oh really? I never touched the fusion games because I've only heard bad things about them lmao That's interesting though
Oh also, thanks for letting me use your gameplay :D

@@TheMoonRover you just unlocked memories about Spyro orange damn that game sucked
Funny thing about that is that, in my version (Italian), he's called Blinky in both Crash/Spyro Fusion and Spyro: A Hero's Tail lol
Still waiting for a Pt.2 🫡

Yeah I know where you mean :)
The dark realms logo uses the Spyro 1 style logo. Interesting.
I'm surprised you didn't mention that the dark realms Spyro title is stylized like the first game's logo
I thought I recognised it from somewhere! Haha
Found your channel from your Mario Party vid! Keep it up!
Got A Hero's Tail so far on Gamecube, fun game :)
God I loved playing this game a lot when I was 13! 😃 I tried replaying it but my PS2’s memory card just doesn’t work properly anymore! :(
Awesome video!
Thanks man :D I appreciate it
I am sure someone can make a fan box art of Spyro the Dark realm
If they do, I would be extremely happy and impressed
I love this game so much I don't want to replay it for the possibility of me changing my mind after my taste has evolved 😅
Please do spyro 4
There is no spyro 4
