@@ThailandLover8 yeah but that means that Coolbooter, is going to make a partition on your Iphone and divide ur storage in half along with that, for some strange reason Coolbooter sometimes has issues downloading Ios6 so like it could just mess up ur phone. worth a shot if ur Icloud locked and want the IOS6 experience tho (would just customize the capacity in 6 and make it grater than 7 if u want to use 6 as ur main)

I remember that I hated the look of iOS 7 so much that I switched to Samsung in 2014 and never looked back. I still have my old iPhone 4S with iOS 6 on it.
iOS 6 is what literally got me into Apple in the first place. I held my Mom's iPhone 4s back in 2010 after she got it from the Verison store and was shocked. Now as a collector, I have a load of iOS 6 devices. Theres honestly no valid reason for apple to kill support for iOS 6. The API's used for apps don't use up that much more server space and even the argument of "it forces people to upgrade" is stupid as hell because who other than us collectors is seriously using such an insecure and outdated operating system in 2023... Stop plz apple 😭
I like iOS 6 but I personally had a bad experience with it back then on my iPod touch 4th gen. It was super laggy and slow, would crash a lot, freeze and overall it was huge pain to use. I’m glad these days, the newest updates on the oldest devices isn’t nearly as bad as it used to be.
Funny how it's all about getting people to switch phones every 2 years but phones in the last 5 years take like 5 years to age while before 2014 many devices would feel outdated within 2 years

hm we dont know but only Steve and Forstall loved Skeuomorphism Ive and Cook didnt. But since Ive isnt there anymore they slightly changed the flat MacOS icons and gave them a LITTLE more 3D life.. I would like to get a similiar icon style for iOS and maybe also to the UI giving it a little more depth to it but also not too much.

Spotify forces itself to stop working on iOS 6. Back in December, they sent out emails saying that they'd stop supporting versions before 2017, and i presume this means they'd force users to be locked out if they are running these versions even if they worked perfectly fine before. I feel like you may be able to fix this if you change the app's version number or if a tweak comes out but idk.
My Samsung Galaxy tab a is from the year 2019, and it's still kicking and running well, and I got it in 2020, and it's been 3 years and all the app still support it

The limitations are refreshing; to have a phone that does not, and will not, demand your attention constantly whilst staying fluid in user interface is something surprisingly rare.
You can still have that "calm" on your phone, recently I removed all the social media apps from my phone (when I want to look at artists I like on Instagram I access it from the PC but at least its deliberate and not something I do "automatically") and just yesterday I did an huge cleanup of Discord servers since all the servers I joined in the past, often for a single event, but no longer need kept cluttering my homescreen with dozens of notifications each week.
I miss the "philosophy" of that time, like Windows 7, IOS itself, logos, that it was 3d or had a "glossy" or "Glass" look and the logos were not minimalist although I like the minimalism and gradients of today's logo, I think this 2010 aesthetic is more beautiful
3:09 the iphone 5 can work as an ipod to just pass your music through there just like a second device to protect your actual phone from getting stealing that can be nice.
Honestly, I’ve used iOS since iOS2 on the original gen1 iPod touch, and any OS before they introduced the files app sucked. I get the nostalgia for the UI and app designs, but the functionality of iOS left so much to be desired. It’s why I ditched iOS for many years in favor of android. Now I’m back on iOS again, and it’s at a really good spot.

I love the old IOS versions, because they are really well made, looks good on those old devices and most importantly they works smoothly unlike anything they gave us these days which require us to upgrade to newer models so fast because it will lag like hell on older devices. Oh, and don't forget their stupid decision to remove 32bit support on IOS 11 and above,rendering most of my purchased games completely uninstallable which is bullshit. Just got myself an Ipod Touch 2 running IOS 4.2.1 just for some nostalgia. It is the last IOS version that supports apps and games from IOS 2.x era and im happy with it,it is now my secondary device to bring with me anywhere.
This is the issue with modern internet based software. When everything ran natively, you could keep going forever with an application. It’s another way that modern technology is less user friendly.
The IOS reminds me of my very first iPhone. The iPhone 3 god I loved that thing. I felt like I had the entire world in my hands or something. Since it was my very first iPhone. I remember sneaking on UA-cam late at night or when I can’t go back to sleep, I remember how much faster it was to reply to friends on Facebook than just opening my laptop and logging in. Listen to music and walk around instead of sitting in one place with my headphones connected to my laptop. As silly as it sounds it changed my life
I was on Android back when iOS 6 was a thing. In fact I was on the Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, (Was with the LG G4 When the S6 released) then went back to Samsung with S7 and S9+. Stuck with the S9+ all the way up to the iPhone 11 Pro Max, (when iPhones actually started looking better was the iPhone 10 and up) all the iPhones below the iPhone 10 look like fisher price kids toys. I didn’t like the design at all until the iPhone 10, but my first iPhone was the iPhone 11 Pro Max, then the 13 Pro Max and now I’m currently using the 14 Pro Max.
At those times when iOS 7 came my family update and love it except for me and my brother. Its make me wanna rip off the classic from update it but I doesn't so years came by and in 2018 I was using a 6s and saw my classic iphone 5. Its does not take charge for some reason but now its works properly fine and its in my collection room. The iPhone 6s is still in ios 11 and now I am using an 7 plus on ios 13.

i have iPad mini gen 1 and after upgrading to iOS 7 the performance goes down hill
I got one on 6.0.1 and I used that day in 2018 to jump to 6.1.3, and get another on 7.1.1 while I could. It was nice.
my main reason i use ios 6 is for those old legacy 32bit apps/games, but even jailbreaking isn’t saving it recently.
It will better if your able to Install Android 11 or Android 13 on it but unfortunately i don't think that's possible

iOS 12 is what I ran first, but 6 in itself was so neat

Stuck with the S9+ all the way up to the iPhone 11 Pro Max, (when iPhones actually started looking better was the iPhone 10 and up) all the iPhones below the iPhone 10 look like fisher price kids toys. I didn’t like the design at all until the iPhone 10, but my first iPhone was the iPhone 11 Pro Max, then the 13 Pro Max and now I’m currently using the 14 Pro Max.
I’ve been using iPhones since the original from 2007 till present 😌

I was in 8th grade when this came out. And I remember everyone was going absolutely insane over the circular input buttons at the lock screen lmao
My first IPhone was the 4, and holy shmoly this almost made me cry.
It’s gonna get worse from there… we’ll never be able to use old apps and we’ll be forced to use the horrible memberships and ads, etc.
??? Not much has changed. It’s still mostly the same to this day. I don’t understand being nostalgic for this.
At those times when iOS 7 came my family update and love it except for me and my brother. Its make me wanna rip off the classic from update it but I doesn't so years came by and in 2018 I was using a 6s and saw my classic iphone 5. Its does not take charge for some reason but now its works properly fine and its in my collection room. The iPhone 6s is still in ios 11 and now I am using an 7 plus on ios 13.
iPhone 5s was my all time fav.
I miss how every app including non-apple apps had they're own design and their own realistic material look
