You can't break boost in the gtr. Well his build u might be able to. Also he dont need no anti lag with these cars. He is out of boost range and hitting the anti lage after he they take off.
That's the world's slowest 2000 hp gtr. Even on map 3 at 1200ish hp it should have put a train length on the Maclaren effortlessly
The 720 is faassttt but i can't wait to see the gtr against the gt 350 and maybe against the black car too.

I guarantee he has broken pistons and at least one rod that window'd the block.. Nitrous on long rolls without the proper tuneup is death to engines.. It had no bottle warmers, improper fuel to n2o ratio is death to internals.. Nitrous is not a toy, many guys want to get it as its a cheap power adder, yet it takes the most knowledge and discipline to run safely.. You are banking on bottle pressure and solenoids to run it safe, one little mistake, and boom your done.. I have a mini barn full of window'd sbf blocks, pistons, cracked & broken, and huge holes burnt in them.. bent and snapped rods.. I love it, but would never use it on long highway pulls at full load for more than a few seconds total... He was prob on the button for 3 full gears..
lol he was NOT beating the 720. The 720 was in limp mode. lol. First race the 720 gaped the zr1 easily. Pay attention.

@@executiveinvestments I never said shit about the tune, I said I love N20 but its easy to blow shit up, via low bottle pressure, solenoid failure, and causing damage on long pulls while spraying.. I have only been successful with N20 since putting egt sensors on each header tube to verify cylinder to cylinder distribution. If you wanna talk about the tune, it can look fine but one cylinder could be rich while the one next to it can be lean AF..

@@nate.hanlon this!!!! finally someone knows what they talking about. lambos and r8s all day! You can daily them, put hella miles and beat on them and they just keep going. As long as you take care of it, they are not known for having a lot of issues at all. I’ve seen so many McLarens have hella issues and shit like Gavin is going through, and he just bought the car🤣 I dont think ppl understand how reliable a huracan or an r8 is witch is sad.
Its just a well known fact that British made cars are complete shitboxes. Their parts are cheap, bad quality and frail. Engines are garbage so you gotta dump another twenty thousand to make it reliable. Anything british made is going to be piss poor.
@@lanereimers look at street speed 717 he had hella mclarens one caught on fire racing gavin i believe and now he has lambos and hasn’t had any problems. mclarens are junk they’re fast yeah but that’s only when they work 10% of the time.

Gavin you need to meet Dan Rue. His GTR is Insane. hes got a crazy personality but is known for his dances and such. Hes the dude dancing in the background shots of T_Pain and Herts baby got brap song. He also has a youtube channel
It's most likely the traction control sensor, They had a bad batch and the sensor sends a wonky signal to the ECU, you can also just try to ground everything out better as like with many Ford's they never earthed the ECU's properly.

Either pump gas isn’t 1200 wheel or Gabe wasn’t in power in those daytime races. As fast as a 720 is it should not be keeping up / gapping a 1200 WHEEL car.
Honestly that ZR1 is NASTY, yea the GTR is bad but what GTR isn't that's not stock but for that ZR1 to be beating a 720 and keeping up with the GTR is WILD

If you keep going into limp mode, make sure all the vacuum tubes on intake manifold are connected to the right part

Heard lean codes, check some vaccum lines/charcoal canistor or look for a wire issue that intermittent should be cheap fix

This could be a tough race considering gfp has a gtr made for roll racing in tx2k

HOLY CRAP. I know the previous owner who had all the work done. He's from Sapulpa Oklahoma. REALLY cool guy. I knew the car before it got wrapped that blue. Was the darker blue and made 1250hp
You have a bad sensor. No big deal. Go to the dealer and let them fix it. The M840 motors have a TON of safeties built in. Thats why they are virtually bulletproof.
This is gonna sound dumb but supercars of Atlanta is a THROWBACK for me, i visited there when I was younger with my aunt right after the huracan was released and had a great time

Looks like a hole in the block to me, rod exited the building.. due to a piston cracking and disintegrating into pieces sending the rod out the block blowing all the oil on everything hot.. Lucky it didn't burn to the ground.. He didn't even have bottle warmers on to get proper pressure in the bottles, and N20 is not very safe for long highway pulls like that..
Check your grounds bro. Sounds like an electrical problem when the battery’s drop below a certain voltage I’ve seen some weird stuff happen. Ex. I had a bad ground from motor to frame and it made my engine sound like it was seized and my sunroof opened when I would hit the lock button. Impossible to trace from a code reader.

I don't know if you've solved it or not, but according to some forums that I've read through, the McLaren 720s can go into a limp mode due to a bad wheel speed sensor. Might be something to look into.
This gonna make you build one like that 100 percent.

maybe try doing a crankshaft position sensor relearn, i had the same symptoms on my mustang and thats what fixed my issue

He wasn’t downshifting to build boost you can here he satayed in a high gear that’s why he was never able to pull away from it only a few times

If you do anything too the mclaren do rods pistons and tune the pistons and rods are always the first too go in them the rods bend like paper on a stock ecu…. Just fyi too save the rods and give em away signed or something

Does that mclaren have wastegate solenoids?? If so maybe that may be the issue i had that issue with a focus rs it would run good and out of nowhere itd have a false limp mode and cut power ended up being a faulty wastegate solenoid
