Just found your channel, hello from deep East Texas, Sabine County. You are correct about the Greenbrier... But they are good to eat, that is the tips that you can snap off . Huckleberry wood makes an excellent mallet also and spoons, spatula and sewing needle. I only harvest the already dead bush of about 2-3" diameter. If it's alive I want it for the berries.
