I’m 55 and saw him live multiple times in the 90’s. The energy power and raw emotion will never be matched. You should check out his downward spiral performances from the 90’s.
Welcome to the party! So glad to see new people appreciate NIN! The thing is, most of NIN is non-radio friendly. So you wouldn’t even find them unless you looked. Listen to The Fragile from start to finish. In the dark, with some wine lol.
Not sure about ...."ever". If you do not have Pink Floyd, Yes or Rush in your perspective. BUT...with that said this definite is one of the better concerts on the planet and very close
@@romanjohnston I'm about as big of a NIN fan as anyone you'll ever meet and Pink Floyd was the best concert I've ever seen. That said, people only know what they know. NIN is in an elite class of live acts along with bands like Rush and several others imo (never saw YES.😥). If this is who she considers to be the "best concert ever", she's not too far off...
You folks are awesome, stumbled across you while watching NIN concerts. Definitely subscribed. Matter of fact, the only UA-cam channel I truly want to watch intentionally. Awesome
written for the Natural Born Killers soundtrack (which Trent put together). Go meet Micky and Mallory Knox from that movie and this song makes total sense :)
I recommend watching interview with NIN after they were inducted to RocknRoll Hall of Fame. Trent, Atticus, Robin, Chris, Danny, Ilan and Alessandro, hosted by David Farrier. This conversation proves they are not only great artists and musicians, but also aversome human beings.
yahhhhhhh! I been waiting for you to get back to NIN - this is gonna be fun.... dude I've never seen you so still as during that 'punk rock bit', you were like a deer in the headlights :) NIN live are so tight, I think the tightest band I have ever seen live - and that is many times :) said it before, I'll say it again, check out Head Down, NIN Live at Rehearsals - you will not be disapointed :) :)
Great reaction! If you want to hear something different from this band, I really recommend you the song "the great below" from "and all that could have been" live. One of the best visual experience ever
May I saw NiN at Boston Calling festival. It was amazing! You should listen to any song from the Friday set list below. One of my favs “All that Could Have been”, “Gave Up” is amazing live or studio. Or a combo react “March of the Pigs” & “Piggy”, you won’t be disappointed. Setlist: 01. Somewhat Damaged 02. Wish 03. Less Than 04. March of the Pigs 05. Piggy 06. The Lovers 07. Heresy 08. Reptile 09. Copy of A 10. Closer (with “The Only Time” breakdown) 11. Sanctified 12. The Perfect Drug 13. Burn 14. Even Deeper 15. Survivalism 16. I’m Afraid of Americans (David Bowie cover) 17. Only 18. Gave Up 19. The Hand That Feeds 20. Head Like a Hole 21. Hurt
Saw them two nights in a row for day of (announced that day that they'd be playing that night and the next) warm up shows for Downward Spiral tour in 94. First night was a full band show. Second night was 2 hours of nothing but acoustic with Trent. Mind friggin blown! Still in the top 2 or 3 concerts (Mr. Bungle first tour also in there) I have ever seen (and I've seen ALOT of concerts...lol).
I'd love to see your reactions to some of NIN's quieter tracks. 🖤 Some nights they do a mix of hardcore and quieter, and sometimes they skew heavily in one direction over the other. Just so versatile.
Here's some information about NIN you may not know. 'Pretty Hate Machine' was written and recorded by Trent Reznor during his down-time. When asked about the album Reznor stated "I wasn't proud of a lot of the things I was saying, but I said to myself, 'Well, no one's going to hear this stuff anyway". The main reason he got a band together was for the subsequent tour.
If I recall correctly, he recorded it while doing a night job at Right Tracks Studio in Cleveland. He may still have been a guitarist with the Renegades at the time.
There are so many NIN songs to recommend, but I'd be interested in your reaction to Just Like You Imagined (w/ Mike Garson on piano) and The Way Out is Through. Not lyrical but amazing. You can really feel the energy through the music. NIN is one of the few bands that I will always look up the live version to listen to...
To answer the question in the title, yes, NIN is the best live band ever. Seen them live like 30x, never a bad show. Often seen them perform 2 shows back-to-back on consecutive nights, too, and it's always like seeing an almost brand new show the 2nd day. Trent/they are just amazing. Rare to see someone who is both so brilliant in the studio and just as good live.
Want great live show & footage you have to look at: Nine Inch Nails - Now I'm Nothing/Terrible Lie (Live Lollapalooza 1991) Crazy energy and a very young Trent
Trent is such an amazing musician and performer. Love the channel and reactions. I revisit your reactions to Jinjer and Spiritbox, such good reactions. Could you guys react to Erra? Snowblood, Breach, The Hypnotist, they are such an amazing band. Props for the Jinjer We Want our Home Back T-shirt to support aid efforts in Ukraine.
Did I tell you my friend Matt Collins and I shook hands with Trent the day after the Auckland 2009 gig? Was surreal af. We were playing pool and Reznor and his bassist walked past. Even the barman knew who it was. We didn't bother with autographs, didn't wanna be assumptive.
Might be a bit different than the other Live NIN videos you’ve watched, but I reccomend the Live version of “Non-Entity” performed for charity by Trent solo on Piano. Also the Live cover of “Metal” with Gary Numan is incredible. Lastly the live performances with David Bowie are really incredible there are a lot of them so I don’t know where to start. Happy listeNINg!
That song was created for natural born killers soundtrack, which he was responsible for the entirety of the film he did for Oliver stone that soundtrack was beautiful. Plus if you haven't seen natural born killers you need too stat.
Porcupine Tree - Heartattack in a Layby Haken - Nil by Mouth Leprous - Contaminate Me (Live At Rockefeller Music Hall) Mastodon - Oblivion Caligula's Horse - Daughter of the Mountain / Marigold

“Just Like You Imagined” - the greatest 4 minutes of industrial jazz you’ll ever hear. Turn it up to 11.
I've seen NIN 5 times and have never been disappointed. They're the greatest live band I've ever seen and I've been to plenty of concerts.
Hell yeah! Seem them 9 times and it gets better everytime ugh. Just love him. Tool has my heart though ❤️
The only band who’s ever come close is Korn. They go hard as fk.
I’m so happy right now 🥹😁😁😁🖤🤍🖤❤️🔥
I’m 55 and saw him live multiple times in the 90’s. The energy power and raw emotion will never be matched. You should check out his downward spiral performances from the 90’s.

NIN are your best videos...more please.
Welcome to the party! So glad to see new people appreciate NIN! The thing is, most of NIN is non-radio friendly. So you wouldn’t even find them unless you looked. Listen to The Fragile from start to finish. In the dark, with some wine lol.

Lead singer of Filter used to be in NIN
Yea you're missing out. Every tour is unique and still maintains that raw magic.
