Fulgore truly was the face of the KI franchise as a whole! Besides being on the box art, arcade side boards and many ads... he was an awesome imposing figure that stood out amongst his fellow fighting game 'bots'! Just an insanely cool character that also had an intriguing story! ( Killbot Terminator with a hidden motive!)
The way he moves also so dope and I love his close up on the screen and the bass on it I have the tv bumping the sound .. I would like to for an artist to make the soundtrack to it or movie to this

Then he fucked me up one day. I beat him 2 time with thunder. Next match on the character select screen went to cinder then he looked at me. This mf turned up the tv and put the code in. When I heard Eyedol I lost my shit. He beat me 4 times and never told me how he did it. I didn’t figure the shit til I was 5th or 6th grade going to gamefaqs.com and finding the cheat for it 🤣🤣🤣

He is far and away, always been my KI favorite. And that's in series where I love almost every single character on the roster.
Storywise, it’s supposed to be Jago’s skull, but the game uses Spinal’s model for all skeleton based situations. So yeah, obviously not fooling anyone.

I've loved all three KI games. I spent a whole summer playing the first one and did it again on N64. And it has some of the most badass video game music of all time.
I really like this one. I hope you continue this and go over the comic in full detail. Also please go over the story of the 2013 (or a retrospective of the series story). When the game came out, I didn't have a flat screen nor an X-BOX ONE. Whenever I did get a chance to play it with a friend, I couldn't read the text 'cause of my classic traditional box T.V.

I think that’s completely KI’s fault. They’ve never tried to modernise and when they sort of did a half assed attempt to modernise it was console exclusive to a platform not really associated with it. Killer Instinct should be up there with SF, Tekken and MK but it just isn’t.

In the 2013 reboot he is thunders brother still but Glacius saved him by reverse engineering fulgore A.I/ consciousness back into eagle (that’s fulgores real name) so eagle is a Native American man with cybernetics and the ability to control other A.I fulgore is basically a vessel and eagles body is in stasis until he is freed by glacius
Love it! I must have spent over $500 on this game, 50 cents at a time. As far more characters I'd personally love to hear about: Glacius, Saberwulf or Cinder would be a cool follow up video.
Fulgore was the first character I tried to learn in Killer Instinct. I ended up using T.J. Combo and Orchid once I found out I was better at using them however.
When I first got my copy of KI (with the OST) I was in awe of it's fighting style. It was tough, but fair...especially eyedol. To this day, Fulgore is the only fighter on the snes that I can reliably pull off an ultra with.
I love Street Fighter … Mortal Kombat was awesome when I was a kid .. BUT Killer Instinct is the best Fighting game of all time in my opinion.. specially KI2 … and KI2013 because you have to learn how to fight wit everyone .. in order to be a great fighter you need to break combos and you have to realize and recognize what buttons you opponent is using to break the combo .. so you can’t break if you don’t know your opponent..
Ever since the release of Killer Instinct (which soundtrack I DREAD) I wanted more of story of the game! Besides, Fulgure was my favorite because he looks so rad and always chilled me to the bone with his (its?) robotic sounds and what story we could get from the booklet. Thanks a bunch, mate!
Been so long since I played KI. Forgot how intricate its unique endings were. Every decision made, would alter a character's path. I wish more games used this system. Gives the player more options to try different ways to play. So Fulgore has quite a story. Interesting to know.
Always loved this character as a top pick when playing but didn’t notice how big of a deal he is! These games are great and don’t get the most attention. I love the originals especially since I have never played the newer one. I appreciate the clear update but the cheesy old designs have their charm.
15:55 I would strongly argue that Cinder deserves it more since he was the literal broken character who caused Nintendo to reprogram every single arcade cabinet in the US due to his unlimited combo glitch. Fulgore maybe the star attraction of the game, but it was Cinder, my most favorite & best character in the game (as well as his theme being my personal favorite as well) who was the most influential. he was literally too hot for Nintendo to handle, that's how hardcore he truly was.
One of my best gaming memories was somehow managing to get Fulgore to wake up from his daze & then finish my opponent with an Ultra Combo. It was absolutely epic.
Back in the 90s Killer Instinct was a VERY BIG DEAL! at the time you could make a strong argument that it was the only fighting game giving Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat a run for their money

FULGORE!! this character was soo badass. yeah a combo of robocop, predator and terminator!! lolz. just epic. i prefer his KI classic look and gameplay overall to the KI2 and the later xbox KI. which kinda didnt capture the magic of the classics. redesigns were just not good. especially thunder and glacius. wtf happened there!! the female fighters look good tho. but it was epic to see KI return for awhile. it was a dream to see KI3 for so long. now sadly microsoft seems to have killed this franchise.?! not much sadness cuz never really got into that version. but fulgore was the only one that looked good. oh rash was also cool too. always felt battletoads characters fit perfectly into that world. but kinda wish nintendo would buyout the rights for KI again and make it exclusive to their consoles. those days were a magical moment in time. ya had to be there. the best KI are the ones by rare and nintendo....
If Fulgore had been in Smash instead of Banjo I would have lost it, because he is my all time favorite fighting game character, but I think that Masahiro Sakurai didn't choose him, because he wanted to make a kid friendlier roster, and its the reason why even Mai Shiranui from KOF isn't allowed to cameo as a background character at the KOF stage.
