Try all of them one by one, because your issue can't be linked to a specific issue. Hello. I am not able to get to the login screen. I have tried using control alt delete and it does not work. I am only allowed to use the command prompt and the X: drive. I continuously run chkdsk which seems to improve it every time. I am able to see the log in screen for a split second if I scroll up on the screen or hit control alt delete, then it disappears again. The login screen will not appear long enough for me to log in. I tried to turn off the password feature in User Accouts but don't know what commands would work with X: drive to open it. I thought it could be a graphics drive problem but I cannot get to the device manager in X: drive. At the command prompt I get errors when I try to run DISM. The problem occurred after installing Windows updates. I cannot uninstall the updates because the wusa command is not recognized. I cannot clear the windows update cache because the wserv is invalid. I am assuming these do not exist. I downloaded the mui file that contains wusa but do not know how to install it using usb drive. Chkdsk is working but src scannow comes back with Resource protection could not fix all of the corrupted files. Now I get automatic repair when I try to restart. I got excited when I opened notepad and was hoping to remove the windows updates from there but cannot. I was told that the windows updates is causing my problems. I also believe the windows.old folders/files I have on my hard drive are also adding to the problems and would like to delete them.

Hello there, question: Do I need to make a backup in order not to loose my files before trying method 10 and 11? Thank you in advance!
Welcome whermans;
- in method number 10, you will not lose anything unless you mistakenly do a Format for windows or another storage partition instead of do it for boot or UEFI partition.
- In method number 11, you have a choice to keep or to delete your files, however, Installed apps will be lost in both options.
The size of Boot partition usually is 500 mb or less.
The size of windows or another storage partition will be in GB (gigabytes).
@@ValiumMediaTech My Laptop failed to boot after restarting to finish Windows updates
I tried method 1-8 without installation media. I'm gonna list all the errors that occurred:
At method 4: when I tried to delete recent updates that were pending I got this code: 0x800f082f
It also kept saying the scratch directory size might be insufficient to perform this operation.
At method 5: without installation media, there was no corruption detected.
At method 7: the restore operation completed succesfully, but the SFC scan failed and I'm not able to boot in safe mode with command prompt (F6) and get the blue screen.
At method 10: I probably need to select Disk 0? But I'm not sure if this is the way forward at this point

Try all of them one by one, because your issue can't be linked to a specific issue. For example, removing the battery could lead to failure of installing pending updates, corruption of system files if the windows was running during the battery removal, corrupted sector in he disk, ...etc.
So you have to try all of them one by one on the same order.

@@ValiumMediaTech Thank you so much for your prompt reply. I saw the results of the test using notepad. It said root cause found: bad hard disk (the drives on computer all say healthy). This is a problem because I cannot come out of pocket right now to get a new computer. I have seen videos on how to repair bad sectors on the hard drive. I work from home and have VPN and other work related software on the computer plus four windows old files. I am sure there are compatibility issues. When problems occur, it is suggested by software tech to reintall Windows 10. I continually have problems with Windows Updates. I do hope there is a nonfinancial solution to this problem. I have spent several days trying to solve this. Thank you very much for putting these types of videos together. At least I am able to understand the problem. I am willing to speak offline, if necessary.
I sent you a Facebook message. I have a question on the log file image I sent you. Thank you.
@@ValiumMediaTech I am sorry. I was not aware. I discovered that my Bios needs updating. I do not know the right words to update it in command prompt. I downloaded the files from Lenovo website for ThinkPad M700 GT10. Would it be D:\windows\system32>G: filename ? G is USB drive. Bios files are on usb drive. Should I use a bios utility installer? Do the files need extracting or will Windows open the package? I cannot find much information on how to install it from command prompt, everything is from inside Windows assuming everyone can access it. I think this may solve my problem. I was able to access bios using F12 and the last update was Sept. 2020. I have contacted Lenovo community, no reply yet. Thank you
When I installed the bios file from USB message said "An operating System wasn't found. Try disconnecting any drives that don't contain an operating system. Press Control Alt Delete to restart." When I press control slt delete, compter turns off. This happened before, but it said press any key to contine and it would go into the operating system. I watched a video on the subject. The bootmgr is listed saying 413,738 bootmgr 8,192 bootsect, there are numbers infront of pagefile.sys and swapfile.
Thank youu!! Step 7 worked!! U deserve a sub man
Thanks for the sub!

none of the methods have worked for me in method 10 everything was the same on my computer except instead of C mine is X and mine is also Vol 3 but under Label it says ESP and yours does not can you help me
No difference between C or X in relation to success or failure of methods. X is the default temporary partition that appear in every device booting to Windows Recovery, but it can be changed manually to C or to another path using DIR /D followed by the C:\ or another destination path.
If all suggestions not helped, make sure to configure your BIOS settings correctly.
If you need further assistance, please tell me what are the last changes you have done in your computer before appearance of the error?
Also, try to add a screenshot for your BIOS settings, so I can guide you with some suggestions.

What do i do if i have a dead hard drive , asus pc. Laptop critical proccess and kernel. I have gotten both only with a dead hard druvebi have tried running flash drive it didnt work. Tell me please..
Since the hard drive is dead, so replace it with new one if you are sure.
I'm having problems with DISM it gives Error: 0x800f081f "The source files could not be found"
it says it's repairable, so I think this is the one that could work but it can't find the files whether I do the first one or via Installation media..
I can't enter Safe Mode either so I'm clueless what to do now.
I have extracted install.wim from install.esd and tried using that as source, same error, 0x800f01f The source files could not be found".
I'm not sure what's going on at this point.
I've decided to re-install Windows 10 instead.
What if when opening cmd needs the account password that I don't remember?
Hi idk if u still read these comments but when I try to do the disk/image commands it says unable to access image
It also said error 2
1. Make sure the windows in the USB is same or newer version than installed windows.
2. Execute the following 2 commands before DISM restorehealth command:
CD \D C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32
Dism /image:C:\ /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase
Replace C: with your windows letter
IF FAILED, TRY METHOD NUMBER 7.

Hello all the sudden my pc kept infinitely bsoding even when I tried to get it to troubleshoot mode, it still popped up with the bsod: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED I have tried everything to get it to boot but it just infinitely loops with the bsod, and none of the methods worked… Even with a seperate usb because it doesnt even recognize that I have an another os installed on another drive… So I could only use the command prompt to get it to recognise my drive.
- Your issue is related to hardware issues (such as incompatible driver, corrupted device), so try to remove any new installed driver update, disable Early Signature verification, disconnect any external device or disable problematic device (graphic driver or whatever).

how much time does it take for the system restore? ive been waiting for about 10 minutes i hope it isnt stuck!
It is normal for the 10 minutes, because it may takes about an hour or more based on number of installed apps, CBU & drive speed, and RAM of your computer.
@@ValiumMediaTech oh ok thanks, i really hope this works. and also, which option do you recommend for viruses and malware that cause the blue screen?
@@ValiumMediaTech oh and im also scared that after waiting so long that this method wont work, is that true?
i mean it has a chance of not working
@@liloskiller365 In some cases, you may need to boot into safe mode in order to restore your system, because some viruses and antiviruses apps may prevent you from restoring your system.
Sir I have tried everything but nothing didn't work and even the system restore is not working even though I had many restore points been created
Try to boot into safe boot then do a system restore.
What if I have this stop code : INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE ? Which method do you recommend me to do ? Thanks in advance for answering !
Tell me what you think the source of your issue, I can tell you which method will be suitable for you.
@@ValiumMediaTech well I am not sure either because I was playing games when it occurs but it might be when I forced it to shut down as my screens froze. @@Grover_
So, before we start to fix your issue, I need some extra information:
1. Did you tried to boot in safe mode ?
2. Did you tried to do a system restore ?
3. What other methods you have tried ?
4. What is your windows version and build number ?
(You can know that from the first line in command prompt).
5. What is the letter of boot partition and the letter of Windows partition?
(Open Command prompt and execute the following command to know that):
BCDEDIT
In my laptop, the boot partition is on the volume1, and the windows is on the C: partition as on the following image:

Take a screenshot for screen using your mobile after executing BCDEDIT command, then upload the image to paste.pics/ website.
1.So yesterday I tried to boot in safe mode it worked but I had the same problem when I had to restart it was like back the the starting point.
2. I didn’t tried yet the system restore because I wasn’t sure to witch date ai had to restore it to.
3. I tried to uninstall latest updates and it worked but when I had to restart it after updating drivers it was the same thing all over again. I also did a startup repair but this didn’t work.
4. My windows version is 10.0.18362.30
why my laptop can't to get in automatic repair?, i already turn it off three times and use all f key but it still can't
