ran across this video as I'm surfing the YT channels. I was shocked when I saw this one and the smaller, stamp size were perfect for my faux postage on my different ephemera. I had done my ephemera few months ago. Makes great sticker paper tools, as I call it.
Just bought a package of labels at my thrift store. My husband was concerned they wouldn’t work with our printer. I laughed and told him they weren’t destined for our printer! I can’t wait to use your techniques on them!
Hi, Ceri. I just wanted to let you know how you helped me try something I thought I could not do. A few weeks ago you demonstrated making a gluebook/folio project. I've tried making these things before and failed. Your instructions were so precise, I immediately started work on my own project. IT WORKED! I made one like yours and decorated it with a kit of spring robins paper. It only took a few days to complete. I am so pleased with the results and I owe it all to you!! You are an incredible teacher!! Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
Thank you so much, I think you’re referring to the gluefolio which I was inspired to make by Nicole. relax, cut, glue. They are so much fun, congratulations.
I have tons a label rolls left over from when we still used a dot matrix printer. You have given them new life Ceri. As for your rubber stamps that no longer adhere to your stamping block-if you have any zig adhesive you could recondition the back after cleaning by spreading a layer of the zig, let it dry then apply another layer. Zig remains tacky enough that it should stick to the acrylic block-then you just store it on a piece of acetate. I use this technique to recondition my cutting mats for my Silhouette Camio.
Great video thanks for the inspiration! Most of the time, cleaning the back of your stamps with hand sanitizer will help them cling again to your block. It is somehow related to restoring electrostatic properties… works for me anyways! Nice regards from Québec, Canada!
You can also get oven mats from Walmart etc. Very good because they are to be used in an oven so if food spills over while cooking it will drip on the mat and won't mess up your oven. And they are priced very reasonable!
😅 I burst out laughing when I heard you say "ain't" !! Watching you from the mountains of Tennessee. Ceri you would fit in here just fine. Love all your videos !
Really enjoyed watching these techniques. Since retiring, I have many labels left over. Now I have a reason to pull them out and make something with them. Thanks for sharing.
I bet the Ivy Stamp was Personal Stamp Exchange -PSX. Their beautiful Victorian type rubber stamps and adorable catalogs were the beginning of my rubber stamp addiction back in the day!
I love these, and have made them in the past. Renewed interest now, just ordered some more labels. I like them in my ' writing' journal. Thank you Ceri. Very enjoyable.
Mr. Ceri, these are so lovely, and I love them a bunch. I have some labels also and I really didn't know what to do with them. You have given me some great ideas for them. Thank you so much for sharing and God Bless. 🥰💯💯💯💯💯👍👍👍👍👍(🐞🌹🦂🌵)
Hello Cardiff😊 as you were putting the background color on, I was thinking, A black design would look nice in there, then you did juSt that! Ha! This was great to learn as I would never have thought to do this. Such pretty mixed color backgrounds. Thank you Ceri.
I do something similar with TH Field Notes. I’ll stamp several sheets of tracing paper with the entire sheet of the stamps (I haven’t harvested the stamps from the red rubber background). I’ve also got reels of labels from my old employer. They bought a new label maker and it wouldn’t take the labels from the old label maker. It’s fun to explore and just have a play. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.
I enjoy creating labels, tags, clusters, bookmarks, and cards. OH! and pretty (floral) storage boxes! An idea I got from YOU, Mr. Ceri. THANKS A BUNCH!
Fantastic! Loved watching this (no fast-forwarding here). :) What great ideas, and what wonderful makes from your score at the shops. Thanks for sharing your creativity, I absolutely love your channel.
You are amazing. I have been following you for a while now and I love your videos. I always learn something. Thank you for all the tutorials and the inspiration. ♥️
Along time ago I read that using lip balm, like chapstick, on the back of stamps that no longer stick will help them to stick again. It does work. I enjoyed your video a lot.
Great Video. So helpful and you make it all look so easy. 😊 I have not been fortunate to find sticker labels on my thrift shop runs. I will still keep looking. Office supplies and crafty items have been at a minimum. Thank you for the amazing inspiration ❤
Thanks for sharing this video I absolutely felt inspired. I have a box of labels that I was going to stamp on but this gives me more layers that I had not considered
These are so beautiful! Little pieces of art! I’ll be rewatching and making some. You help break through my blocks and give me an, “I can try that!” Attitude. Thank you!! And your a delight to watch!
THANK YOU SO MUCH...very inspiring. I am going to try this technique. On the heat resistant matt...they have them at Walmart and anywhere that you can buy a new ironing board...they also have them on line... just ask for a heat resistant matt and several should come up for you.❤ TTFN... SORRY... HELLO EVERYONE HAVE A FABULOUS DAY 😊
I "stole" that label idea from you because I like the labels a lot because they are so useful for decorating letters/envelopes, gifts and even file folders. For using my rubber stamps I use acrylic blocks to wich I adhered Tsukineko's Tack'n'Peel. The mat looks like a reusable baking sheet. 🥰
You can search for teflon baking paper or reusable baking paper. I've bought mine on amazon there were 5 or 6 in a pack for round about the price of the tim holtz one and they are the same I would say. I recently picked up a box with office supplies in a charity shop with a pack of Labels for the back of ring binders. Now I'm thinking about printing on them with the gelli plate and make unique backs for the binders I store my stencils in. I usually wash my stamps if they aren't sticky anymore with warm water and dish soap and let them air dry to make them stick to the stamping block again. Works fine for me.
Steph, word of warning………if you put you labels face down on a gelli plate they may come off the backing paper unless you’re careful when you lift them from the plate. I speak from experience.
PSX is correct. They were one of the original companies and many of their stamps are considered collectors items. The company has been gone for many, many years but I still miss them.
I can't say who I saw do this, but someone used spray glue on the back of stamps and let them dry and they were sticky again. As always I love your videos thank you so much❤

Every video you make gives me an immediate urge to go to my studio and create. Thanks for all the inspiration!
I’m so pleased to hear that, thank you.
Same!!!
Just bought a package of labels at my thrift store. My husband was concerned they wouldn’t work with our printer. I laughed and told him they weren’t destined for our printer! I can’t wait to use your techniques on them!
That is awesome, have fun Susie

Thanks!!! Good information.
Great tips thank you Grani, I normally use a bit of glue stick but it was not on my desk at the time of filming.
What an awesome way to use all my old labels and such. Thanks Ceri for the inspiration. ❤
Have fun
Ceri: a great reminder as to how great these labels turn out. Carol from California
Thank you Carol
Great video thanks for the inspiration! Most of the time, cleaning the back of your stamps with hand sanitizer will help them cling again to your block. It is somehow related to restoring electrostatic properties… works for me anyways! Nice regards from Québec, Canada!
That's a great idea
Thank you Ceri, what a good use for those labels
Glad you like them!
I love printing on labels too 😊 gel printing… writing on them… endless possibilities! Merci
You are so welcome!

You are right Sharon.

I always love your content. I have been wanting to try this technique whenever I see you use your labels on ephemera.
Hello Cardiff😊 as you were putting the background color on, I was thinking, A black design would look nice in there, then you did juSt that! Ha! This was great to learn as I would never have thought to do this. Such pretty mixed color backgrounds. Thank you Ceri.

Thank you, its not a baking sheet but you could easily use one.
Those mats are also oven mats for protecting the bottom of an oven from spills.Barbecue section, too.
So I’ve heard, thank you
They’re whatI use and they’re a whole lot cheaper, too
Thanks Ceri, like this process!
You are so welcome!

You are so welcome!
Thanks for the demo, Ceri. I’m off to make some labels!

I have used watercolor on labels with great success but do use glue stick when using them. Enjoyed the video.
Interesting, when I did watercolour I did wet on wet and maybe used to much water.
Good afternoon Mr Ceri, love these labels!!! Beautiful colors & great techniques... TYFS
Stay Crafty 💜
Good morning Amy
Love love this idea!!! Thank you
You are so welcome!
Tfs. So many good ideas!!

I can't wait to see you use condemned :). Halloween-y maybe?
Maybe
Hi, that looks like a teflon mat/sheet. Thanks for you input.
Could be, thank you Myra
Some people use glue stick to temporarily stick an older stamp to the acrylic block
Sandy that’s what I normally do but I’d run out of glue stick.
Love it ❤️
Fun! I have that ivy stamp. PSX I think is Personal Stamp Exchange.
PSX is correct. They were one of the original companies and many of their stamps are considered collectors items. The company has been gone for many, many years but I still miss them.
Thank you
I have a repositionable glue stick for those stamps that have lost their glue - i think it's an Elmer's one
Thank you Julie for the tip.
Lovely 😊
Thank you! 😊
Always fun
Thank you
Brilliant 😊
Thank you
delightful!
Thank you
Simply LOVE this idea. TY!
BTW...wasn't bored at all... :-)
Yay! Thank you!
I can't say who I saw do this, but someone used spray glue on the back of stamps and let them dry and they were sticky again. As always I love your videos thank you so much❤
Great tip!
So fun❤😊
Thank you
I have bought an “oven liner” which is basically the same material.
You’re right, it is almost the same.
Great idea
❤ thank you
You’re welcome 😊
Great technique Ceri. Like your results a lot
Thanks so much
I definitely want to have a go at this, love them!
Wonderful
Great video! So many ideas to try out. TFS
Have fun
I buy these mats at Home Goods, really large size (16 x20?) and really inexpensive!
Thank you for the tip.
Fantastic video as always, please can you show us what to do with the lables?
I’ll see if I can figure out how to incorporate that into a future video.
@@CeriGriffiths thanks ❤️
I think a baking mat would work.
I believe you’re right.
Geniale!
