This a the best Of Lizzy And they didn't even know it.. Super talent and the band who understood the sound of Duel harmonies with guitars... One of the most underrated bands of the 20th Century...
I wonder if Scott has those dice in his living room. Ok Thin Lizzy you pretty much own rock and roll. I feel bad for everyone else and especially anyone who ' don't want to know.' But maybe it's better they don't. But i guess im just lucky i do. Ha ha
OK, musically it was mimed, but unusual to see Thin Lizzy without a Les Paul! Regardless, always good to see any performance of them. Huge bonus with it being with the late, great Kenny Everett.
At that time I was a big Kenny Everett Show fan and a big Lizzy fan. As I had started playing the guitar the previous year I was fascinated by that solo. I recall being distracted by Garry's crazy specs but I can't for the life of me figure out how I missed Hot Gossip in the background. I mean I was an adolescent boy with those hormones flooding my body, I must have been really guitar obsessed to miss that.
That Thin Lizzy sound will never be duplicated.
Very underrated bass playing.. Best band that ever existed
lol 😂 Phil was never underrated, if so, by whom ?
Gary Moore era Lizzy is my favorite to watch. He's just so fun!
Brian Downey is one of the most underrated drummers ever.
A fantastic solid drummer, heads down and balls to the wall.
Well to know Downey is to love him. Emperor of the shuffle, funky as hell
This band is so dear to my heart
The joy of Everet and Thin Lizzy... Why oh why did you leave us so so soon???? The world is so much emptier and has been for decades....
I remember watching this actual episode when it originally went to air😊
Me too!
Only the Best band ever!!!!!!!!!!!
I do miss Kenny Everett. He had everyone play amidst some cutting edge comedy

@Scimmia Another dick with a talent for turning a positive comment into a negative.. Bravo Richard..
This was Gary Moore's Tucker Jenkins look! Very cool and slightly cocky.
Seeing Scott without his trademark LP and with that monstrous over designed baroque double-deep-cutaway monstrosity is really quite offensive.
Ahahahahah...
Yeah, you're right. Those Danelectro guitar are atrocious.
The girls in the backgrund is the same as in the promo video for the song and they also apears in Killer on the loose promo too.
They look like the girls from 'Hot Gossip' - the dance troupe Kenny had on the show...
@@justinbrandis700 Yep! They were Hot Gossip girls.
Listening to this makes me feel 17 again.
That guitar solo!!!!!!!!! MAGNIFICENT
also love the robot by gary and philo when doing the rythmic
Which one?
check out my cover of the solo here slaintie!! ua-cam.com/video/5hJ9QvFnyvg/v-deo.html
And its even MORE magnificent that the guitars are not plugged in!🤣😮
You do realise they are miming?
The song and video that first got me into Rock Music all those years ago. Once Rock is in your blood, there is no antidote.
Those guitars are kinda weird for TL! Lol

Coolness personified.
I always thought that was Gary’s solo, and then I watch this and get pretty surprised.
Maiden had to be influenced by this !
Of course
I saw this line up at Newcastle Mayfair Ballroom ( UK ) on the 1981 tour .... Fantastic gig , great songs and superb singing / musicianship .
The is the coolest video i have ever seen.
2:11 to 2:16 Phil and Gary. That's the coolest shit ever lol. Holy fcuk this band were just epic.

You don't need me to tell you but I'll say it anyway.....you are watching the best band in the history of music.
Kenny Everett used to get some cracking guest bands/artists - and usually had them doing stupid things. The stuff he got Bowie do is an eye-opener.
My eyes see Danelectro and Fender, my ears hear Gibson, please correct me if I'm wrong.
Brilliant
Scott's miming on a Danelectro 6 string bass.
このゲイリームーアかっこいい!!
Odd choice of guitar by Scott.

Who is this hero they call Dickymint62 ;-)
Donna Fielding...
Jeez man that bass riff is unreal. Always been my fave Lizzy track. Class.
Midge Ure looks awesome...
No midge yet. Thats gary
@@saliacobucci268 He is hiding in one of Downey's bass drum's 😂
Love this track by the Boys ❤
Absolutely Brilliant 🤩
I can live without all teasing
Wow that is heavy
