I havn't seen that since I saw it on tv in the 80s. Brilliantly funny after all these years. What a funny talented bloke Kenny was. Going to check out more of his programmes now. Thanks for sharing.😂👍
He was a force of comic genius with everything to give and you got it in bucket loads He was a true creator of comedy that was to be set to A standard and true inspirator of pure raw Anarchy Good on ya Ken,, 😂❤️🙏
Ground breaking. He had his fingers on the pulse of what was contemporary. And , had it been a few years previous, the beeb wouldn't have allowed it. However, with the beginning of Thatcher 's britain, he took the opportunity and ran with it.
@@andysalter7192it only works as comedy if you understand the greater social situation in the UK at the time. And while these skits are old, done and a bit naff now, at the time it was both groundbreaking and hilarious. he was more influential than comedy. he revolutionised local radio by recording all local slots from his home in a home studio. George Harrison and Pink Floyd thought that was a grand idea. The home studio was born, driving a trend that continues to this day - the democratisation of music.
I remember trying to sneakily watch this on the portable in the dining room while "doing my homework". :) One ear cocked for the lounge door opening so I could switch over and get back to my history essay...
kenny was absolutly one of those memorable entertainers, comics, absolute brilliant ,that the young one today wouldnt bother with ,they wouldnt understand the humour ,cause us that grew up with all the comedy and entertainers of our generation only US understand it kenny was BRILLIANT
Just imagine the physical work that went into that Bee Gees segment - sure, you could do it in 10 minutes now on a digital editing suite, but imagine what they had to do!
This was considered tasteless at the time by many. But in all the voices you can hear the world of my childhood My younger son is exactly the age I was when I watched this. A much happier lad, I think, but surrounded by a mad world..
I used to watch "The Kenny Everett Video Show" on what would later become the Fox network in the Early 80s. Did I say "watch it"? I should have said "wouldn't miss it." I met my best friend when I mentioned dressing up as Captain Kremmen for Halloween.
These days people drive Sherman tanks called SUVs. 6:50 - Sure, blame the dog! 9:14 - Billy Connoly? 11:10 - Just like Steve Irwin. 13:0 - "Atmospheric conditions" on the moon? 24:00 - She's gorgeous.
@btsb60 yes, Kenny moved from Thames to the BBC in 1981. There was a lot of this channel swapping with entertainers around this time. Mike Yarwood did the reverse in 1982, but the big one was in 1978 when the BBC lost Bruce Forsyth to LWT plus Morecambe & Wise to Thames. In return, the BBC poached Larry Grayson from LWT & also Little & Large from Thames
And at 6:18, 18:36 Joanna Lumley who was “Aunt Emma” from “The Wolf of Wall Street”. Shows like this, Benny Bill and the Paul Hogan Show, were great “Jacking Material” for a 10 - 12 year old boy. Man, who wasn’t In love with Delvene Delaney from “The Paul Hogan Show”.
Get yourself a Sherman tank. You know it makes sense. Thie fella was as zany as they come, and l loved him for it. The woke brigade had not yet been born the sad baskets that we have today.
Ah, my childhood. An all in the best possible taste! What a genius he was. RIP Kenny.
This comedy still holds up after 40 years!
Grateful for that TV, showing these programmes again like Kenny and Benny hill.,goodies,
Yes, that's what I thought.
The comedy, yes. The orange overalls, no.
You must be joking, it’s about as funny as it was back then. Excruciating awful darling!

Wheres the comedy part ?

Good old Madness in the show as well...quality!!
Wonderful. A trip down Memory Lane, and a galaxy of stars in this. Thanks for posting! ⭐👍
The character who spends every waking hour on the phone was way ahead of it’s time.
Same with “trawler fishing can be fun”
I have forgotten just how good Kenny was. Very sadly missed.

The best possible taste and fantastic comic genius the Kenny Everett T.V. show.
Cupid stunt how did he get away with it 😂 😂
Love Kenny Everett .
It was a show that was one of the highlights of the week for me. 70s comedy tv was the best!
Madness
Kenny had that gift of being hilarious without trying.
Madness were definitely the icing on the cake.....✌️

Pure genius has a name.....Kenny Everett..there will never be anyone as funny as him.I am wondering whether he was like that in real life or not.
Love the man!
I'd imagine he would be really, really upset with world today, considering the struggle he put up with.
So, so funny.
Just imagine the physical work that went into that Bee Gees segment - sure, you could do it in 10 minutes now on a digital editing suite, but imagine what they had to do!
Wow. The phone scene. So relevant to today.
This was considered tasteless at the time by many. But in all the voices you can hear the world of my childhood

Kenny was a genius 😂 loved him 😌
best part is the lady still giggling in the background😂🍻
Done in the best possible taste!
Always remembered that Spider-Man desperately going to the urinals sketch.
I'd forgotten how funny he was. On of the greats RIP.
This was my favorite episode...I was 11 years old at the time!
Oh Kenny, how we miss you..
" 45 to 55. She's like Australia. Everyone knows where it is. But no-one wants to go there" 😆🤣

I'm sure he'd be chuckling at the plethora of North Atlantic crab trawler programmes we've seen in recent years.
All done in the best possible taste!
Kenny was about 30 years ahead of his time
Don't know how Ken got away with the name Cupid Stunt. Apparently Mary Hinge was refused as too obvious !
Yeah right, unbelievable really.
@SynthMusicFan 501 swap the first two letters
@SynthMusicFan 501 Hairy Minge.
Apparently, Barry Cryer called Kenny a "Stupid C***" and he just changed the letter round
He was a Genius ❤
OK, I'll be that guy... That wasn't a Sherman tank at 04:25, it was an M10 Wolverine Tank Destroyer 🤓
, great, show❤
25:25 he called mobile addiction decades before
I wonder if anyone has done a compilationnof all the bits with cleo Roccos in? Back in a mo!
They don't make 'em like that anymore! And if they did, they'd get cancelled PDQ. Ah Kenny, you're sorely missed.
5:03 glad I wasn’t drinking..I would have spit it out my nose 😂
The Bee Gees skit was pure genius. And it was all done in the best possible taste!
13:36
20:50 Wow, great Bee Gees sketch.
the effort behind it was immense, they were all Everett , multiple layers of a digital composition.
Is it true that I was only 6 when I saw this?
I'd have been a lot more grown up after seeing it.
All classic gags
Love it still

@@80sandretrogubbins25 part of his face was shaded and wasn’t 100% sure. Cheers.
the telephone sketch is painfully apposite in 2023
Is this after the ITV version or before I don't remember Kenny's show being on the beeb

That Phone sketch is so of today's issues with our obsession with the mobile phone Headstone reading Memory full Disconnected 📖📚🙏
Great show!
I used to live near Canary Wharf a few years ago and I'd regularly see Cleo Rocos around.
And Boy oh Boy was she Around!
Oh kenny so funny respect the bee gees sketch is amazing
Bril!. Nuff said!. 🤣
Debbie Linden, 12.07 was gorgeous. Dead from a heroin overdose at 36.

Kenny is sitting on a M10 Wolverine Tank Destroyer not a Sherman. But I'd say it would still help with your parking problems.
The moon Skit flag in "zero" gravirty 😂😂
lol Blondie hanging on the yelephone, Bloody marvelous😂
Gorgeous suggs❤
saw this once at the time, and remember most of it,, weird.
I used to watch this as a kid, brilliant
Unlike many 80’s comedies this has aged very well. And the music is far better than most of the cr@p around these days.
6:27 is that John Hannah?!
Love Kenny Everett.
Classic Madness
I'm Australian and I take offence and a gate at the last joke.
12:20, off the scale m8, i bloody roar

That Madness video was......well, madness.
Wow. Brings back memories. I always thought it was called Kenny Everetts VIDEO show. Brilliant stuff.
That's what it was called when he was on ITV a couple of years before.
Genius! In the genre of Chaplin, Carlin, Gervais, Seinfeld, Milligan or the Montys!
❤😂😮😅❤
Kenny and Billy. 🎉
