If your using a commuter, you can just start watching any video in the watch later playlist, and then by the video's that are queued up there will be a small trash can, you can just spam the click mouse and all the videos will be gone very quickly!!!

To solve the issue of the Edit button being removed, when you get to that step add &disable_polymer=1 to the end of the URL in the browser bar, then hit enter to re-load. Then hold down Ctrl, Shift, and J. Paste the code he provides in the description. All done!

Thank you so much for this. I can't believe a platform like UA-cam that has been around for this long still doesn't have a proper way of managing playlists. Even basic stuff like "Empty" or "Copy to other playlist" just don't work as intended. It's ridiculous, especially if they limit the Watch Later playlist to 5000 videos and then not give you an option to clean it without wasting almost a whole day on it. Thanks a lot, and I'll definitely save this video for on a later date!
Cause they don't give a fuck. That's why the comment area sucks. They know that all their revenue comes from people watching videos and most will deal with the pain of a shitty interface to get great content (hell some of the content on youtube is better than a lot of TV IMO).

The simple answer is to mess with you LOL. The real reason is retention which is not a realistic situation in this case. But they do the same with their Google Drive and Google pics. I've learned that the hard way. Once you're in, you will never Be able to export it all out with simple clicks.

Tip: Watch all videos, then delete all watched videos: Set volume and quality to min. Set speed to max. Open Watch Later. Duplicate browser tab ten times. Then select different sort or shuffle for each. Click play and then 99% of videos are watched while you sleep or go to work. Then "Delete All Watched Videos"

... i found a much more easier way to delete the vids ok so press shuffle all and then when you hover over a video in the shuffle all bar you see a trash can press that ALOT OF TIMES and all the videos you deleted in the shuffle bar will also be deleted in your watch later
Yea, this works better. I couldn't get the polymer command to work to make the edit button to show up.

Probably worked a couple years ago, but there is now no "edit" button when you select your Watch Later videos from Chrome on a desktop machine.
You can enter the command on the regular watch later screen.

Riddle me this, youtube is the number 1 platform for online video streaming, yet it wont even tell you directly how to delete, for example, all your 'watch later' videos. Something aint right here :/
I use the multiselect extension on edge and it removes 100 videos at a time. Hope it helps.

@@Marco_My_Words I used Edge when I was in college so I could get through those long pdf files. Microsoft's PDF reader is absolutely marvelous! Unfortunately I don't use Edge as much because the tabs would go to sleep and there was no way to make all of them stay open. Now I'm on Firefox and I'm just upset by the lack of variety in browsers.

You no need the edit button, just open your watch later playlist and press "CTRL + SHIFT + J", it should have the inspect thing

@@Camse7 Yes they reinstated it. But I'm fairly sure UA-cam fiddled with their code because my youtube userscripts stopped working and this happened.
No; it still works for me as of January 23, 2020 on Chrome. Add "&disable_polymer=1" to the end of the URL in the browser bar, then enter to re-load
Also, it didn't delete all 600+ at once, so I had to refresh and enter the command multiple times

For Mac users the keyboard shortcut for opening the developer console is not CMD + SHIFT + J. On the contrary, it is CMD + ALT/OPT + J.

Another way of doing this is to go to inspect and on the top where it says Elements, click on console and put the code. You can press enter after and it will delete the videos. I had to do it this way cause I couldn't do the cmnd + Shift + J.

Unfortunately, the Edit option is not there in the youtube Desktop version. Chrome is updated with the latest version. There are only two options, PLAY ALL and SHUFFLE. What to do?

Alright.. so I see the last comment is made a few years ago and this doesnt work anymore as the Edit button shown in this video doesn't exist anymore. YT really wants us to have a big chunk of video's saved up apparently. My solution was downloading a auto clicker. For those who doesn't know what it does, its a little program you can download (there are plenty, I can name which one I used by maybe whenever you're reading it, it doesn't exist anymore. But any will do). So what it actually does it once you click a record button, it starts remembering what ever your mouse is doing; the movement of your moues and the clicks you do. Once recording you simply just remove the video's one by one. You can decide yourself you wanna do in one go. Once you feel satisfied with the amount of video's removed you go back to the program and stop recording. Then, once you hit the play button, your mouse mimics the movements and clicks you've done while recording. It's now removing all the other video's. Continue using the program's recording until all video's are gone! Might take a while depending on how many video's you had. I personally had just over 400 video's added and this way I was done in literally a few minutes. Hope this helps anyone and hope you have a great day!

I opened the command box on the watch later page (the one you get before you get pressing edit) and entered the code. Now it says uncaught error but it's not deleting anything? But there's like a number thing? My browser seems unaltered but will this cause an issue? I followed the instructions incorrectly, Sorry!

OMG!!! That worked!! THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU!!! This should be a feature in UA-cam by default so we don't stack up thousands of videos... like I did... but glad I now have a clean slate. A couple of the steps were different, since I am on Safari on a Mac, and UA-cam was updated since the publishing of this video, BUT it worked and I am free!! 😊
