I feel like reyab gives more of a rebel vibe and the colonists are the opposite. I haven't really read into the lore though, just based on general vibes of the character models.
jakey pulled the lore from the website and dramatized it. The REYAB are a super corp that wants to rebuild the Earth under an authoritarian rule. The Colonists were their space program, but they rebelled when they learned the truth of what REYAB does.
Might make a series of these explaining the lore behind the extraction mode that is coming. Let me know what you think!
