Was there in the pouring rain on Saturday in the stands...was bloody awesome! Had a great talk to Mark Larkham, asked for his autograph and he struck up a convo , He was genuinely interested in where we were from etc, that kiwis are so so passionate about Super Cars..What a great guy, just like he is on T.V. 👍Same goes for Tony Quinn & his team..outstanding event.
Larko is a Gem
Thank you for the Ep 1 of Polarizer with RD, PM & BB. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Really appreciate the time taken by those invloved and guest Tony Quinn. Thank you and look forward to more in the future.
As a ipswich local Id love to see QR back on the calendar I just fear the racing will be boring.
Either way thanks Tony for making QR a much nicer place to go 🤙
In a world full of negativity and naysayers, how refreshing to hear a good news story about Supercars. 3 legends of the sport 🤙
Would be nice to watch the race on live tv, not highlights at 11-00 pm
Love Paul Morris And Roland Dane Their Stories Are Awesome 💯
ripping listen lads, hit the nail on the head....good stuff, bring on ep 2
Awesome, loved that. Look forward to the next!
Just awesome , Keep them coming please 🙂
Listening to the radio comma between svg and his spotters is a massive learning experience as to how the racing works. Opened my eyes as to what was going on
here for the straight talking, no Bullshit.
Did you mute it when Roland was talking ?
I can remember in the 60s and early 70s you get parked your car in the middle of Sandown
Park race track great podcast guys regards Sam😅
Get supercars to Highlands!
Good show, I don’t know why Supercars don’t race at each of the circuits at the appropriate time of the year? Ie Phillip island, Symmons Plains, Winton etc. in Summer. The old days the Tasman series was run in the Summer months with the touring cars and Sports Sedans. Good for night races too.
Love these lads just talking it how it is.
Need more racetracks local Winton QR and Highlands maybe in 2025 if they can ship trucks to NZ...
Talk about atmosphere at this track reminds me of lakeside days
Been watching NASCAR to follow Shane. Was never really keen before and after watching im even less impressed. It's so boring (besides the giant crashes) the racing is like 3 wide doing parade laps. I'm sure it's super complicated and technical as a driver but geez it's boring to watch. Cota was good cause both way corners. But ovals are 💤
Scotty McLaughlin race winner on the weekend @ Alabama.....
Keep the tracks viable and the fans engaged.
good one
I can confirm that Greg Rust is correct with the pronunciation of Taupō. Pronounced “Toe Paw”
Not to be pronounced “Towel pough”
It is not new, it has just been pronounced incorrectly by most people all this time. Just like how most of Supercars and others have been pronouncing Pukekohe incorrectly all this time
getting out of the circuit was a pain so not sure what paul is on about 3 min in. took over an hour to get on a bus and almost 2 hours to get out of the carpark. apart from that great event
Hang on, Episode 2 is it not? I saw the first one a month back.
That was the Pilot episode:)
@@speedcafeTV ahhh Gotcha. :-)
Need to get Adderton on next then it will be Polarizing...
Penske did a test software was wrong so all cars not using it makes no sense if it was on purpose... Will Power didn't use it Scott only once...
Street races are far more entertaining to watch than circuits. The backdrops, close walls, the crowds. You get a fat better visualisation of the speed of the cars. Wide open tracks you don't get the feeling of speed as much. Not as fun to watch from the couch at least.
And Supercross get government dollars
They might resurface next year... Or even paint old sections with black layer...
Toe Paw is the correct-ish pronunciation, but it takes generations for such things to change, and there are plenty that are scared of change.
No newbie goes out and wins on an oval, there is something very technical about winning on one of them
the more tracks the better, long short flowing stop start who cares just give us exciting racing
As Roland said ,"your out to kill, there to win and on the start that Hunger must control the brain somewhat,to start in the wet with the hell or bust mindset is just plain Dumb, and the punters want good racing !
It's not taupo It's tau_pō short for taupō nui ā tiā
Kiwi here. It will always be 'Tau' (as in the Greek letter) followed by 'poh'. Unless you're a leftist PC wokester.
The name hasn't changed, it was often mispronounced by those who didn't bother to learn the proper pronunciation..
Thank god no Ingall
