I Love the pyramids and the history. The people there were very aggressive. We luckily went right after Covid so there was hardly any people. We also had a private tour guide, which helped keep some of the hustlers away.
I was there 2002 as a kid. There were one or two hustlers yes, but definitely no one shouting or touching you, you could climb up the pyramid a bit on your on risk, touch the sphinx etc. Felt like a magical place.
My husband was offered 400 horses as a swap for me. Not sure if that's a compliment or an insult. My husband of course said No and then he replied "Why don't we ask the lady" LMAOOOO
Should have done a no thank you counter hahaha-I know they are trying to make money to survive but it wears on me after a while. Same sort of thing in Marrakesh but they just asked for money didn’t even offer a camel ffs
I've been there, I thought it kinda sucked. All the hustlers and tourists ruin the magic of the place. Your mistake is you talk to everybody; better to just ignore them.
@@LittleshamelessViking Not even worth giving them the no thank you they take that as an invite to negotiate. I just pretended they didn't exist and it got way better. Also The middle pyramid is the pyramid of Khafre, Not Cheops/Khufu! It appears taller because it's on a higher elevation but it is smaller than Khufus pyramid

@@TravelingAtoZ It seems that having a guide can make the experience at the pyramids much better
Why doesn't the government outlaw these hustlers? It would result in more tourism for them

True. Marrakesh was having a bit similar problem

True. When "no, thank you" is not understood, it's better to just ignore them

Clear difference between Egypt and Sudan, just saying
I agree
