I've got a daughter by the name of Iris (b.Inverness 2/2/02) who is in spain now. I haven't seen her for six years. I would like to see her again, but my hostility towards her grandfather's (english) business partners in the highlands is making this very difficult (he imports 'chickens'). I'm afraid I would have to tell her brother, my son Pablo, that I really don't think there are a hundred of us left if I got the chance. Nice upload though.

However, it should be remembered that the leaders on both sides were of part-Norman ancestry & a lot of them were actually related. The Wars of Independence were not fought between Celts & Anglo Saxons - they were fought primarily between Scots & English, which isn't the same.
It's a wee bit ironic how the gadgie in this is speaking Scots (a Germanic tongue descended from Anglo Saxon) at the same time as lambasting the "Anglo Saxon bribe" from England. I can understand resentment about the Union, but if you're going to bring history into the argument, you might as well get the history right. English does not equal Anglo Saxon. Scottish does not equal Celtic. Not any more. Not since Lothian was conquered by Malcolm III at the very latest. The Wars of Independence did
I'm 50 today, there are more well deserving Scots than me.
