At some point both of you mentioned that you want to “shine” so that partners will pick you or to stand out. In a consultant team (let’s say 4 ppl) how do they quantify individual performance?
@@rand39830 Assuming you are asking for entry level consultants? Know all the numbers, the details as you're expected to provide the data to your team in client meetings. Pay amaaazing attention to detail when creating deliverables. Provide value by asking yourself the so what and giving your view to your team. Pre-empt what your team needs to do next and make it easy for them by prepping for it earlier / handing them over a template! Hope that helps!!
Henry made a good point on finding the one thing that makes you stand out and emphasising this in your application. Could I get some examples of what these things could be?
Stellar academic performance (graduating in top 3% of class at target school), entrepreneurship with a social organization you founded, achievements in competitive sports etc. Best! H
Recruiters also screen CVs in 7s. It's crazy!! So I would say make sure you read up on tactics e.g. most relevant experiences at the top of your Experience section....as well as highlight (even in bold) some of these stand out points about yourself.
I am a fan of firm learning and Kajol. Main reason I watch these is to remind myself that there're many people work harder and more efficient than me. 😅 Thank you so much for the videos guys!
How do consultancies cope up with recession or pandemic situations? Does that lead to firing of employees? And how well do they care their employees in these tough times?
Yes they can. Depends on each country. For example during coronavirus, many big 4 companies in the US have let people go whereas in the UK they haven't. I can say that Deloitte UK have REALLY cared about us during this time and done EVERYTHING possible to keep our jobs.
@@KajolPhadnis yes...how to become tech consultant... which skills would be needed to become tech consultant....how to crack interview in big 4 companies..
Really well done again Kajol and Heinrich! Excellent collab type video. Oh yeah also in case it helps for future reference/as some kind of a feedback type thing. I feel that these collaboration related videos of yours Kajol have been brilliant! E.g. the case interview one with the two American guys! Raza :)

Looking forward for this 👍🏽
Hope you liked it!
I relate to a lot of this because I moved from Big4 (Strategy& in PwC) to BCG. I must say the exit options really exploded after my move
Oh interesting, I think exit options vary i.e. often you get into more tech from Big 4 whereas more strategic from MBB

@@KajolPhadnis make a video on what are the best strategy consulting options in India apart from Big4s, MBBs and some other global giants.
Where does a firm like Accenture feed into this?
Actually isn't Big 4 or MBB but a great company nevertheless
