Thanks for making this video. You and others are pushing me toward adding a Shaper Origin to the shop. I see more and more utility in the machine all the time.
Very interesting. Was the follow up process with the trim router just adding the chamfers? Can you share details of the cutters you used please? Thanks 👍
Depends on how accurate his 90 deg was on the board edges :-)))))) And I bet he wished he didn't put finish on that board - it gets in the holes and stops anything that's 20mm fitting properly - so then u have to go back and remove the drops in the holes - painful :-))) There's more, but I'll just stop there .
@@neilgillies6943 Agree it would have been nice to get assessment of how accurately the holes were placed across the whole board. As to finishing the board, I would have finished it before cutting the holes and chamfers. Drip problem avoided entirely.
Hi, is this just to show what the shaper origin is capable of? This a very capable machine being used for what I can see on the Internet very sub standard projects. I bought an mft replacement top cnc'd for £35 in the UK plus free delivery. I am not being negative but come on, a machine which cost nearly £3500 plus. Come on now guys. .

Wow. So it is possible. This is fantastic. Thank you.
just awesome thanks for sharing!
What a lovely video..!!! Thank you. (Great music BTW)
I was wondering if you were going to put a chamfer on the holes. Great job.
any thoughts on accuracy across the entire sheet of plywood? Did you put a tape on the holes corner to corner or anything like that?
its a clever bit of kit!

What size chamfer bit was that Shaine?
68 subscribers? I just joined, still trying to justify the purchase of that ShaperOrgin.
thinking of incorporating this into a router sled

What website was used to generate the grid?

How accurate are the holes?

Wondering why you couldn't just mark out the grid and use a plunged router. You probably spent $10 in tape too. Good video though so thanks.
Very very new tool. Is it accurate?
Very!!!
