Glad to see you used my basic template technique and have improved upon it. I used ultra-light MDF for mine which might be a little heaver than yours but still pretty light. Plus your torsion box design adds a lot of strength mine doesn't have. I use the TSO parallel guide and rail squares too and find them to be great but for smaller cuts that fit within the hole grid I find that using dogs is very accurate. Great job.

The screw in the finger - done that many times. I now only buy hex style screws and stay away from the traditional ones! Ugg I hate that too!

Did you know the little oval on the Glübot lid is for keeping the red nozzle cover out of the way when dispensing glue? I didn't know that for the longest time. Interesting build!

I admit the outtake with the 50 TPG made me laugh. Gonna grab myself the quick adapter soon to avoid that silly.

Great video and the work bench turned out great. What did you call the laminate material you glued to the work bench top? And do you have a source for it?

Hi.I really like the bench project. I want an extension to my mft table so a good way of saving money and making your own. One question. If you are using a template why use shaper origin.I love my shaper and I can only think it’s to save tape but why not use a conventional router with guide bush and the template you made. Great video. Thanks.

I like what you have done in making your bench. Are the .svg files available? Willing to buy.

Question: If you z’ed out the bit through one of the holes of your template and onto your work surface, I’m wondering if it would have sped up the helical process?

Thanks this was a great project! You scored a great heist on that balsa wood. I'll ask around but I can only imagine they'll laugh at me.
Did you coat your perma-shaper-tape board with something?

Thanks Paul. The tape board is 1/2” refinished birch ply from Asia.
