I know this is old. You probably won't see this. I am stuck inside this small room for health reasons. I watch you videos on UA-cam every day for hours and hours. You always make it feel like were actually hanging out. Love your videos.
Quite a lightning show! I love how you maintain a steady calm even in difficult driving conditions! Much love to you and all the truckers who move all the goods around. You keep this country rolling!
You’re always so calm driving into trouble. Much respect. My father drove for 30 years and I have to wonder if he was a badass as well. He must have been to drive for that long. Thanks for all you guys do for us.
I'm 41 years old, hard for me to imagine what road travel was like before our amazing Interstate system was built. Appreciate you showing us how things are on this feat of engineering.
Oh my goodness! I've never seen anything like this in my whole 80 years of life. Keep on being safe young man. I truly enjoy your video's. And I appreciate the time you take to do this for us.
One thing you know when you riding with Mike you always always be safe. This old trucker knows what he s doeing, throug the years of driving experience, the knowledge of it , from the Netherlands.
@@ridingshotgun1251 dear sir you r work and perseverens and responsebilety to other drivers makes the economy and althouh from the netherlands i thank you for your hard work like other drivers in my family. I wish you and yours the best of luck and healht.
Nice light show. As always a good ride with Mountain Man Mike. God bless , stay safe.. I love your channel Mike. I hate you have to drive in the rain. Take a break and get some rest..🇺🇸♥️🌹
Spectacular! ! What a Light show! THIS is the BEST birthday present I have received today! Mike, Thank you SO MUCH for this one. usually I'm not a fan of the desert but THIS ONE WAS AWESOME! My condolences to your Father-n-Law
A rainy night in Georgia,, no wait,, a rainy night in the far far west. Be careful on your way back to CA in the V. Good for you to honor you stepfather. The family will enjoy seeing you.
There's something mesmerizing about a lightning storm, with rain pelting the windshield and the windshield wipers slappin' out the tempo, keeping perfect rhythm... Well, you know what I mean.
Hello wow what a light show I remember that well out there when I drove for Simon trucking went 20 years 10 for Simon trucking and 10 for Longley Steel fab from Kaufman Texas now Long since closed , but those monsoons can get very dicie also slot up in Colorado have family in Grand Junction Colorado injoy your videos thank you brings me back to a simpler time in my life now retired I HATE It. So building semi Truck kits that's okay but not the same very good at that stuff.
My husband drove for Dick Simon in the 80s. You may have heard of this crazy CA driver back in the day. He did drive to Atlanta, Georgia during the Olympics. He had an Olympics watch from there which he must have lost some time after we got together. I remember seeing it.
@@williamtuton6178 My husband just corrected me. It was 96? (He drove from 94 to 97). So whenever the Olympics were there. His dispatcher was Simon, Jr. (Mr. Playboy, women, Corvette---my husband owned 3). He was not the one from Eureka but the one from Sacramento....He said the CA 6 or something as he walked away.
@@volaf1218 oh the one I knew was from Eureka , I spent a lot of time in the south and some in the north east going to sleep now but if you would you can text response tomorrow.
I miss being on the truck! My mom drove for 25 years for Freymiller and never had an accident … I think only 2 tickets, but being in the truck with her was amazing! At the time I was 16 so seeing new places and getting to travel to so many states was actually the highlight of my life!!
I've seen trucks blown over on I-15 between Vegas and Mesquite before. That kind of weather isn't scary in a car, but in a big rig I bet it's pretty nerve-racking. Thanks for the awesome light show!
Suicidal tumbleweed.. lol!!! Love your storm, just wish we got them here though. Love storms!! Thank you for taking us on your adventures over the highways and byways of the US. Have a wonderful weekend!!!
Hi Mike: sorry about your step father passing, I’m 83 and I know it can come at anytime. Nice light show. Been good to hear from you 3 days in a row. Be safe keep em coming thanks. Edward
Reminds me of when I was a teenager and we were driving back from a vacation going across Nevada from Utah. I was driving and it was constant flashes of lightning. Love a good thunderstorm but don’t like driving and something like that.⚡️🌩⛈🚛
Thanks for sharing this. I love thunderstorms an have drove in quite a few but not in a big rig. Well Done! Happy for you getting the Caddy back! Hope it gives you many happy adventures and travels! Take Care And Stay Safe!
You are an excellent truck driver!! It was also neat to watch and listen to the storm/lightening! MN is very dry this simmer, therefore not many thunderstorms. Thanks for taking us with you!! 😊
Love the Gilligan's Island reference at the beginning. Years ago while traveling East on I10 a few miles West of Houston I ran into one if these storms. The lightning was so intense and frequent my eyes couldn't recover fast enough between flashes and I had to pull over and ride it out. Sounded like a good idea at the time until I realized where I stopped was flooding and water was pooling rapidly.
Mountain Man Mike, I really enjoy your videos, you bring to your viewers your view from the driver's seat, trucking along highways, some of which I have traversed, and some which I have not. You give me inspiration to do some of those I have not. Keep up the good work, not only with your real job, but also with these great videos. Love you, man! "Keep On Truckin', Baby!" (Eddie Kendricks, 1975 or so) PS: get that crack in your windshield fixed! Probably the least of your worries.
Dang, dude! Your a stud! Thank you for the spectacular ride. I enjoyed it from the safety of my cozy chair. Pretty smokey out here in cali. Best wishes stay safe!
Az has been having quite an active monsoon season. Also, we had an incredible dust storm about a week ago. Could not see the Santa Catalina Mountains. Be safe out there!
I find when driving in an electric storm, a somewhat satisfaction that I am inside and covered, where as bikers out and exposed to the elements have a pretty rough time - hence why I am opting out of buying a Can-Am Spyder or Ryker . Cheers Mike.
I feel ya I had to crank the legs down on my trailer and it was lightning flashing all around me it scared the crap out of me I think I scaled the steps and jumped straight up into the cab..lightning scares me ..if I'm inside the truck I'm fine as long as I don't touch nothing metal but outside I'm like a scared cat..lol
awesome lightning off to the left!! I use to drive a Semi myself with my other half in heaven and we have encountered lots of weather literally!!! and wind and hail and tornadoes.
While truckers share a mentality, similar situations, and quest for solitude, most truckers will channels don’t have the great photography, insight, or great conversational manner you have, Mike. Most truckers have a gruff voice and manner, though truckers look like brothers. Drive on!
Nice to hear Grand Junction named randomly as this is the first video of yours I have watched. I was actually born and raised there for 13 years before the family moved to Phoenix, AZ. It's nice to go home every once in a while. I love it there but not great for job selection. I see you have a more recent video with Grand Junction, will definitely check that one out too.

Sorry to hear about your step dad. My daddy been gone for 18 years and I still miss him. I guess a girl never gets too old to want her daddy at times.
Quite a lightning show! I love how you maintain a steady calm even in difficult driving conditions! Much love to you and all the truckers who move all the goods around. You keep this country rolling!
Who'd have guessed that riding on a long haul through the desert would help me unwind after a frustrating day. Pure zen.
You’re always so calm driving into trouble. Much respect. My father drove for 30 years and I have to wonder if he was a badass as well. He must have been to drive for that long. Thanks for all you guys do for us.

Hi Mountain Man Mike. Playing catch up. What a storm. I have always been lucky in not getting caught in a storm like that while on my motorcycle.
That was a wicked lightening storm. Glad you made it out of there safely.

Loved the light show on my big screen tv, only thing missing was the smell of fresh rain on the sage brush 🤗
That is for sure a GREAT LIGHT SHOW I LOVE IT.
I hope you're safe. But I love thunder and lightning. Don't care for tornadoes at all. Not one bit. Love the rain and snow, but hate hail.
Now that's a sight to see a storm.
