I love my little Blizzard, I also have the metal tracks. To bad it does not snow often here in Las Vegas. The Snow Blower is definitely a work of ark and has such realism to it. It also looks to be more durable then the first model they made.
I have been doing R/C for 40 yrs. and have the original Kyosho blizzard from Tower Hobbies and the box ! Also the 2nd generation Blizzard and the new one and that might be the coolest thing I've ever seen !!! Great job !!!
I would like to make the snowplough to my rc from the metal sheet. What do you think about it? Whether is it a good idea? And so when the opportunity arises it is an excellent film :)

The first stage (auger?) seems ridiculously fast for a 2 stage unit. Usually it's just the thrower part that goes like that, unless it's a single stage blower. But I'll admit it works good for its size.
Yeah I tried really hard to reduce the gear reduction for that as much as possible, but there was not many options available for the transmission at that point. Most differentials are around a 3:1 reduction. I went with a Traxxas E/Maxx Diff since it has metal gears. It is I think 2.85:1 reduction. However I did make the impeller match the high input of the auger. The blades of the impeller are pretty small, and the high number of turns on the auger means its not moving as much material as it really looks, its like a giant gear reduction. The main difference between my design and a full snow blower is that mine uses bevel gears, so the impeller is the same diameter as the augers because it needs to stay in line for the gears. Full size use a worm gear, so the impeller sits above the auger shaft so the impeller can be a much larger diameter. So they perform a little differently.
This is really amazing as the future is yet to be written...this may be leading to autonomous 3-D printed robots such as these to clean up our streets without a human. Just amazing!

Looks like the redesign has worked great! I remember the last time you had it out it seemed too brittle and delicate. This design seems much better. Im sure we will see more of this RC to come, and I cant wait!
