i wouldnt be worried about boosting it. high mile lexus v8 can handle power just as well as a low mile one. the only weak point would be the trans, but even then, transmissions are cheap. awesome upgrade man, goodluck on the build 💪
Fax there’s a 2008 isf and it’s s/c and it’s styll pushing hard and running smoothly, with 400k km on it 🤯😳

2nd the trans issues I have a 2012 with 80k and that's the only problem I've had. Albeit an expense and time consuming one (to find a isf trans).

Regarding the drivetrain shudder when in sport mode manual shift the is because the converter is locked and basically it is like a manual. Converter locks from 2nd to 8th when using the paddle in sport mode. Mine does it and maybe replacing the rear gearbox mount and stiffer engine mounts may help reduce that.
Supercharging is OK but if you go bigger boost the gearbox will slip and fail under hard use. I chatted with a guy who had gone through “ multiple gearboxes “ 😂🤣
Full bolt on is the way to go and don’t worry about the mileage. But do get a full flush and service on the auto. It makes a huge difference.
Mine is on the market and moving on to other things. I hope to get a MY14 in the future.

I still have my old 2008 Lexus IS250. 132k miles on it. Yea I get made fun of in the IS community for having a 250 but I still think it’s a solid reliable car. I want an ISF but you can’t find these for a good price anywhere. Each time I look for one it’s like in the 30k range.

Easy to do is chrome delete the window moulding, I do it on my usb 2012 and it look awesome to match your front grille

This is a great transition from the IS350. You inspired me to get an IS350 which I recently sold due to my relocation plans. May be one day I'll get the ISF too.
Would you consider upgrading the steering ECU to the 2013 2014 part? I heard its a mod many owners do to improve the handling and road feel.

do a transmission fluid change and maybe some diff fluid if it hasn't been changed. and maybe the power steering fluid.

If you don't have the LSD already. Put an 2IS350 Differential in it!
I can pretty much guarantee that weird drivetrain shift you're feeling is from completely dead motor mounts. Mine were wasted at 95k. Change the trans mount out too with them.
Makes sense! Might have to do the RR Racing motor and trans mounts

"I hope this plastic piece and clock all comes out" - It does, the DVD drive for the satnav is located behind it, you need to put a tool into the little holes on each side to remove it, the tool should be in the toolkit in the trunk.
Yup I found that off when the plastic cracked again and I removed it all 😂 Have a whole new clock and face on the way!
Marty, did you ever replace that plastic cover where the clock display is? I’m needing to do the same but not sure the easiest way to do. Thanks.
I did! Someone gave me the part number and it was cheap!

Miss the noise, make sure the valley plate ain't leaking coolant or was done before. Maintenance before mods
Yup no signs of valley plate leak and I just did the oil change. Trans drain and fill and rear diff next. Coolant and radiator are fresh as well
Im very tempted to trade in my car Toyota Mark X 2010 3.5 140000kms for a IS F MY10 ($33kaud) 256000kms, what do you guys think is the kms too high on the IS F?
As long as the ISF is in good condition for the kms it is hardly an issue.
6 to 5 downshift is the best rev match imo 🔥🔥
In Manual with Sport mode all of them sound good! But not as cool in Just Manual

I noticed you get the belt slip "ch" sound when you do high rpm shifts. Mine does it too lol
Yeah sometimes, probably needs tightened or replaced
@@MartyMotoring they say it's either the belt or tensioner and belt. For now it's fine my 2011 is at 65k and only does it at high rpm

What oil do you use Pennzoil ultra Platinum?
Yup! Usually that or Amsoil. Pennzoil was readily available though

Are the DEPO headlights plug and play?
Yup! They work just like a stock set but no HID, just halogen or led
Glad the ISF is coming along well! Smart not to Supercharge it. I would put Sprint Booster on it. Trust me it makes a big difference. You won't be able to use the paddle shifters though.
Why on earth would you do that? The paddle shifters are way more fun

KSP, about $100-150 a set!
Is it lowered on springs at all ?
Nope just stock 2011 suspension. The ISFs sit low from the factory
where are you going to install the new tpms
I bought it from Amazon and going to a local tire shop where a friend of mine works. We actually installed it yesterday but it wouldn’t program correctly, so may have to bring it to the dealer
@@MartyMotoring try to find someone with a Snapon tpms5 tool I was able to reprogram OEM and aftermarket

Trans fluid yes, not sure about the filter yet. I’ve done it in the past though.
@@MartyMotoring I would highly recommend it, when I did the fluid and filter in my 08 I also replaced the trans pan bolts with stainless steel ones. But that's just because I live in the Midwest and I don't want to ever snap another one.
@@sandpiper1515 that’s a good idea! They get rusty here in Pennsylvania too. I’ll have to order a filter when I get the chance. Had an extra for the 350 I gave away but doubt it’s the same anyway.
I changed it on my old transmission that blew, and then didn’t change the filter on the newer one. But I don’t think it’ll hurt 😆

Sometimes yes. It behaves differently for sure
How much these drink engine oil?
Some of them burn oil
I go through about a quart between oil changes with similar mileage to his F
What do these Dyno from factory
Like 360-380whp. I’ve seen some do 400

Why? If you don't do circuit/track racing or autox, it's pointless. The electronic one is just fine for street use, drag racing, roll racing
I have an IS250 and I love it, next car might be an IS F, if I can afford it.
how does it preform in the snow?
@@chorizojr7584 Performs well I would say, fun to do some drifting and its well balanced. But generally RWD cars gets stuck in deep snow more than FWD.

Lol nope. I had my last IS350 for a year and a half and the black one for 3 years, so 2 years is the average time span 😂

Pretty good sound system already the mark Levinson better just to add a sub and amp that's what I did sounds amazing

man, just drive that old ass car and enjoy it, you're doing too much with all that BS. this car has little to no aftermarket support. Just ride it and stack up money since there's no note, and be on the lookout for the next car to jump into.
