Your posts on Transatlantic has convinced me to take one to Europe to meet up with a 12 day tour planning in Jordan. Love your posts. Obviously all sea days can't be bored
Glad ye guys enjoyed Beetlejuice...it is a very polarizing show. Several people walked out of the theater during our cruise, we were on the cruise where Beetlejuice debuted. Personally I love musicals, but I didn't like it. I did stay to the end though.
This couple is good at trivia and are quite involved with ship activities. Latin music mostly goes with dancing. RCI of course has Boleros and it's a lively place with plenty of dancing. I see a lot of folks sitting around in that atrium spot. The Latin duo are wasted there IMO. There are different types of dancing. There's group dancing, like line dancing and silent disco and some of the stuff like 80s dancing and there is more intimate dancing like ballroom dancing, Latin dancing, swing dancing, and "slow dancing." I like to see a mix but a big part of ship life at least for me is couple's intimate dancing. For some reason, a lot of these newer builds don't seem to promote it. Maybe that's what I don't like about them. They deliver the theaters for sure and food venues. But that's the missing element to me. They need that one or two really nice, enclosed lounges for couple's dancing, mingling, and to have that ambiance. If the Metropolitan Room and Belevedere had dance floors and the former was more enclosed with softer lighting and somewhat larger, it would have more ambiance. An atrium is not a good place for couple's dancing. It's for group stuff. And it needs a pub for singing "Piano Man," "Delilah," "goodnight Irene" and tunes like that. Syd PourHouse would work well and I like the decor in it. But it is too small. It shouldn't just be a performance venue, it should be an interactive one as well and could offer food. There also seems to be a piano bar type of activity missing. When I was on the Sky it had Captain Cook's Bar where passengers could sing with the piano player and it was a lively spot. This is twice the size of the Sky yet no piano bar. The newbuilds excel at dining venues, big group activities and pool activities, theatrical shows, spas, but miss the mark in terms of smaller and medium sized liveliness and ambient settings. At least this ship seems to, the Celebrity Edge ships seem to and Sun Princess may miss the mark as well. Icon of the Seas does better because it has the venues. Not sure about Carnival or MSC.
Loved Beetlejuice!
I’m really enjoying following you on this journey. The sea day activities had lots of people involved and looked like everyone was having fun. ❤
i love that you also buy the cruise next certificates. we were able to use 3 of them for our last cruise.

Well good morning!!! Watched the Icon take up residence in Miami and then here you are like some kind of you tube cruise dessert! 🤣
The Viva seems like a great ship for Transatlantic with great entertainment, activities and enough variety of food.
We were on HAL Nieux Amsterdam leaving St Thomas the day after you arrived. A Happy Thanksgiving for us both🫀
