  • Hi everyone
    In this video, I will show you how to make a super hero cake. I would suggest you to invest in some cutters to save you time. I had the cutters which, I couldn't find in my cutters stash and hence had to cut out freehand. This video will also help you to learn how to join different colour fondant patches on a cake. You can use this technique to make half n half or 4 different colour quarters or sections on a cake.
    Hope you like this tutorial. If you have any questions regarding this then please leave your questions in the comment box below and I will be more than happy to help.

    Hi I followed your amazing tutorial over the weekend and I am really pleased how it went. I didn’t do the painting but I did my first ever layer of ganache that was a life saver as I struggled getting the first section on and had to redo it a few times. Would love to show you a picture. Thanks so much for sharing

      Price depends on so many factors. Your location, your skill set, what others are charging around your area, etc.

      Aw thank you. It’s a compliment for me. I did have customers in the past who wasn’t able to cut the cake on their bdays because they thought it’s too good to ruin😆they at least kept it for a day or two then ate it.

    Do you dilute the black colouring gel before you use it to paint free hand on the cake? Thanks

    Hello, did you have to freeze the buttercreamed cake first before fondant?

    • @Scrumptiouscakesbyfairy
      @Scrumptiouscakesbyfairy  2 роки тому

      Do not put the cake in the freezer. You need to put in the refrigerator so the buttercream gets hard and stays stable while ganaching.

    Hi I’d really appreciate your reply. How do you store you remaining ganache? And how long can you store it for? Also is it Wilton fondant you use? Once again I’d really appreciate your reply and honesty. Thank you

    • @Scrumptiouscakesbyfairy
      @Scrumptiouscakesbyfairy  3 роки тому +2

      I use renshaw extra fondant. Black, red and brown I buy already coloured. You can keep the left over ganache in a fridge for a week and you can also freeze it.

    Hi faryal can u please tell me why my fondant start break and get cracks as I put rolled fondant on cake and press down to smooth plz tell me what I m doing wrong or something wrong with fondant I have bought my fondant from asda b&m and Morris ons all xx
    Plz tell me xx

    • @Scrumptiouscakesbyfairy

      I haven’t tried those brands so really not sure about their quality. I would highly recommend renshaw extra. You can buy that online from the cake craft company. Fondant also cracks if it’s exposed to air for very long time. Try to be quick when you are colouring or kneading your fondant. I apply trex in my hands before starting kneading it also helps to keep the fondant moisturised. I have tried Tesco fondant from super market and I like that. May be try that along with my tips.
      Hope this helps x
