Captain here.. Troubadour is old southern french (occitan). It's basically an entertainer, bard or singer and minstrel (think the guy in the witcher). It's pronounced troo (as in troop) ba (as in b+alpha), dour (ou is the same oo like troop). You're welcome
Why, Billy Shakespeare, I do indeed quite like this pack. Indubitably! A fine review from a fine young gentleman such as yourself is quite the Charleston Chew, as in, a treat! B’day to you good sir.
Very entertaining Love your videos keep up the awesome work!! What's a good power bank 10,000 milliamps something not crazy expensive that you recommend?
troobadoor... is how it's pronounced-ish :) If you ever decide to do interviews with fans of Fyro after we have the bag, I'll teach you how to speak with an English accent haha! This bag looks so cool, though. Has all the right pockets and looks very nice for office usage. cheers, Chris
The shape sort of reminds me of the wandrd duo, just the zippers don’t go all the way down. I do like that shape with the zipper at the top edge as if you are going to have a laptop sleeve on the main compartment it makes access super easy.
You should see if you can get your hands on the mkbhd new 20L ridge commuter backpack. I'd like to see your review on that. Looks pretty nice and sleek
@Nomads.Nation also wanted to ask you if you know when the UK customers will roughly get the Fyro backpack. I understand that usa customers will get it first. Probably end of December or start of January. Just wanted to know the rough estimates for UK customers. So that I can plan my journey ahead of time. As I plan to fly out in January
@@mohammedfaiisal still in the process of getting sorted but the timeline will be much clearer in 1-2 weeks. We are hoping that everyone around the world will be getting their bags around the same time! Sorry I can't give specific details just yet but once I know for sure I'll update the backers via Kickstarter/email 💪
Nice backpack! One question: when a company says "a 22L backpack" for example, is it talking about the capacity of the main compartment or of the sum of the capacities of all the comparments (main + tech + front for example)?
I have one of their apex backpacks and loved it until the flap on the laptop compartment kept causing the zipper to rub and get stuck causing the interior material to fray. They said that it's wear and tear and while I wasn't expecting a brand new bag, for the price I expected better quality.
A lot of misfires for this bag. 1) shoe compartments aren't the most popular on backpacks these days (keep them in duffels) 2) the side pocket seems way too small 3) putting admin pockets on the back of the main compartment pretty much guarantees blocked access to them if you're carrying anything else in that compartment 4) dark interior linings 5) no false bottom 6) clunky phone pocket 7) the luggage pass-thru orientation doesn't match the laptop compartment's orientation 8) front pocket seems small as well.
@Nomads.Nation are you sure this isn't the V3 of the bag? According to what I found online the versions with the flat carry handle are called Pioneer 3.0?
Hey! What would you recommend for a low budget EDC bag that looks nice and has a good laptop compartment? I’m currently rocking an old Jansport which I love but it’s complete lack of any laptop protection is becoming a real issue for me.
Side access to the laptop compartment is just idiotic. In some geographies, that would be asking for someone to steal the laptop during your commute...
This bag doesn’t really make sense. The central compartment simply exists to accommodate the shoe compartment - why? This isn’t a gym bag. If you use it for travel your shoes go in a duffel not your backpack Also the 1/2 opening clamshell looks very out of place. Potential damage to the zip and limits access inside - makes 0 sense For the price this is a big miss IMHO
I agree with your concerns about the front zipper, but any ~20 liter EDC backpack with a shoe compartment will have similar capacity issues (Modern Dayfarer, King Kong, etc)
@ yeah that’s my point, shoe compartments, to me, just don’t make sense on bags under 40litres I have to gomatic 20-30litre travel backpack and I don’t think I’d put my uk size 10 trainers in it. Slippers/flip flops maybe but nothing bulkier

Dude... this channel iz on fire! Meanwhile I gotta take a day off per week to watch all the vids! 😂✌
good luck!! haha
I have always loved the concept of vegan leather. Just call it what it is, it's plastic, jajajajaja.
On a separate note, great video!!!
thanks so much!
Kinda looks like a Nomatic bag. Not that they copied anything, but just its general look made me immediately think Nomatic.
Agreed
I thought the same thing
interesting, I see it a bit

thanks Chris! 🏴
Bro, I need you to review the bigidesign Ti EDC backpack. Looks unique with a lot of features but your assessment is key.
I'll be sure to check it out!

good call, sorta similar for sure

yes, its the sum of all the compartments usually
Paul Simon would say: "Bridge over troubadowered water" 😅
legend

some good points for sure
Will you review the asus rog archer weekender 17 please…
We'll add to our wish list!
Good Brit impression
cheerio!
Another amazing bag with a deal breaker of false bottom, why did Troubadour have to miss the mark on an otherwise perfect bag?
hopefully they can implement on V2!
@Nomads.Nation are you sure this isn't the V3 of the bag? According to what I found online the versions with the flat carry handle are called Pioneer 3.0?
We like it.!
cowabunga!

@ thanks!

"luxury" type products usually aren't concerned with security, but you are totally correct
It looks too much like a peak design everyday or mystery ranch district, both of which are cheaper, to cost as much as it does.
the fabrics on it are quite luxurious, but I agree its not a cheap bag

The brand name is pronounced True-baa-door.
🫶🏽
A shame the bag is so small
its an EDC, not meant to be a huge travel bag
new term: Compockment. I dig it.
I should trademark it lol
