Pete and Jake take a ride out to Chester County for a stroll along the East Branch Brandywine Creek! It was a BLUEtiful day to go hunting for Blue Quartz!
This is me discovering that blue quartz is rare! I live around here and have been finding them all my life. Took traveling around the state to realize they aren’t common much anywhere else!
this is me also discovering the same thing, (i too live in PA) and their is AN ANUNDANCE of quartz of all types available at our fingertips apparently sitting right on the top of the surface and it looks to be a GOLDMINE amount of it!!! i am going to be looking tomorrow ANYWHERE i can get eyes on rocks 🪨, geodes and such, and here soon enough ill have a MASSIVE collection of gemstone and crystal ❤ 😊 i LOVE youtube, i just got into this topic within past day, and realizing everywhere around me is antient ocean i think we are truly in heaven for this type of activity!😊
Thanks for sharing, guys. Appreciate what you are doing here. Think you could lay out all of your finds at the end of future videos? Would be cool to get a good look at everything collected for the day.
Thanks for the feedback and glad you enjoyed the video. I am looking into some alternate options for mounting the camera. the issue with the head mount is I can't see the viewfinder when I'm trying to show something in my hand, hard to line up a shot. Someday budget will allow for a head or chest-mounted camera, as well as a secondary for the in hand/special shots. We'll get there! Thanks again for the support!
@@allthingsrealestatecrm948 I fully understood your original question.we address this in the video, we aren't listing the exact location anywhere but in our FB group so it doesn't get swarmed and destroyed. Feel free to join our FB group for more info, or fire up google maps to look for the only white church at three point intersection in Lyndel next to the brandywine!

We're tripping over it here! Beautiful stuff, and to my research blue with points is only found in Texas

Thanks for tuning in! Sure, we can do that. If you're in the FB group. I'll throw a pic up tomorrow
Excellent work! I hope to see many more to come. 1 suggestion on filming. try using a head mount for your GoPro so we can see what your looking at.

Thanks so much for sharing this! I’m in Berks County.
Awesome, have fun! Lots of mining history in Berks!
I have a bunch of nice pieces, good video 👍
Thanks for checking out the video! Love that blue quartz, stopped a few weeks back after the heavy rain, great material
I just found a small piece of the blue quartz in lycoming county yesterday!
That stuff shows up everywhere!
Did you head upstream from the church or down to the brandywine from the church? Would I need permission from anyone to search this creek ?
Sorry, realized I wasn't getting notifications on comments from UA-cam. If you pass the church on your left, go to your right!
Downstream!!
Will I have any luck finding Blue Quartz in the Oxford/Nottingham area?
too far west. lots of magnetite out there though.
Not to my knowledge, the brandywine and Neshaminy creeks are the best known locations
I've had luck in Neshaminy Creek at Playwicki Park in Langhorne.
I don't see the location you mentioned you would add
The brandywine Creek runs right though Lyndel!
Where are you standing in the video please@@PennsylvaniasRockhoundHaven

I have cabbed a bunch of this , it’s ok, fun to find. I like mineral hill the most , but I chase things that can be cabbed
Mineral Hill is a favorite of ours as well, the nature and rocks make it quite a lovely place to spend the the day!
