CHAOS as TRACK DAMAGE Blocks access to Burton Wetmore Sidings!! 15/08/22

  • Watch as routine stock moves at Burton Wetmore sidings go WRONG..!
D3236 Gronk causes track damage passing over the main entry points into the sidings, causing 67007 & 67006 to be held whilst delivering their ECS back to the sidings from the recent Kings Cross to Scarborough Railtour.
A mixture of brute force and the good old gas torch do the job to free up the 08 Class shunter finally.
A few yard moves from the resident class 37's create some additional space for 67007 to reverse it's coaching stock into an unplanned location, to allow it to then head off back to Toton TMD with 67006 in tow.
56091 provides so additional entertainment leaving the opposite sidings replacing the usual Class 60 tug.
Please leave any questions in the comments and I'll reply back as soon as possible.
Hope you enjoy - Thanks for watching!!

I was once held outside a terminal station, waiting for an empty platform to bring my passenger train in, but the main problem, as logistics and rosters found out was, that i was waiting for the train that i am booked to take out to leave before i can get in. I knew what was happening as my working service sheet was in front of me, but i decided it was their muck up as i couldn't be in two train cabs at the same time and sat and ate my sandwiches, until my radio cab phone rang and a signalman asked who i was. I told them that as far as i could see, i was waiting for myself to take the train in platform three out, so i could bring the train i was sitting in, into platform three. Eventually a spare driver appeared who took my train out into a siding, so i could enter station and was met by a red faced train crew supervisor, who apologised to me for my own delay. This was about1995, Charing Cross. London.

Hello Frank, retired Stoke Gifford, Penzance Shunter here. I worked with an Exeter Driver at Pz, Stan Pope. He told me he was on holiday and catching a train up North from Exeter, in rolled the Train Class 50, he was waiting with his Wife for 15 mins, no Driver to relieve the Penzance man, so Stan went into the office and was told someone had forgotten to roster a Driver, so Stan worked the train to Bristol, his Wife inside on her own. Sadly not with us now.
