KCS 5020 North Over The East Valley Line 11/12/23

On 11/12/23, KCS ET44AC 5020 came into Roseville on the point of a grain train. The train came into Roseville as 2x1, and after cutting off the second unit the run up the East Valley would be 1x1 with the KCS as the sole leader!
After getting him around wye at Roseville we caught the train just south of Brock, and in Wheatland. After Wheatland, it was time for some pacing, and after running ahead through Durham we sat and waited at Richvale. The 5020 came screaming up at track speed and after pacing him almost into Chico we got ahead of him again for final shot, which was going through the trusses at Tehama.
To not make the trip home boring we had a chase back down of the MNPFR on the former WP, and after cutting over to get it at James, two more shots of it at Oroville, and splitting the searchlights on MP183, rounded out our day.
