Have you tried using this unit? I would advise to as the unit can be handled like the Mantis, but also traditionally (using the straight bar). Another feature many are unaware of about our handles, they are adjustable for various operators' heights.
Given the preferred gripping of the handle I might be inclined to design it more like a Mantis Tiller.

Would you run seed through at the same time as the dressing?
Hi Ian. You can mix seed in with the organic material if you prefer. Make sure you mix it before you put it into the machine, so you can make sure it is mixed evenly. If possible, use a concrete mixer for the best chance of having it even.
Recommending sand as a material to improve drainage is terrible advice. The volume of sand needed to actually improve drainage of heavy clay soil is impractical. Anything less and you're essentially creating concrete. Compost is always the preferable choice as a topdressing material. It improves drainage whilst also improving water retention, provides organic matter, increases the cation exchange capacity, feeds micro organisms, and is much more environmentally friendly/ sustainable versus peat moss or sand (both of which are a finite resource). Cool product though!
