The most underrated aspect to this show was the set design by Ronald Baldwin. Brilliant. Especially for the monochrome era.

How Ross Martin was able to get his across to his team was incredible.

Beverly Garland was truly spirited and expressive here in this episode! Makes you wonder if this game as involved and challenging as it was could fly today. Thanks for posting it:)

This show is strangely compelling. Some of these sayings are so daunting I would have just walked off the set instead of even attempting it!

I thought Ms Garland looked familiar. The mother Barbara on my three sons.

Did ordinary people play this at parties back then? Or was there a simpler version of charades?

Thanks for your answer! I see this show as something of an social artifact of this era. In answer to YOUR question, I would think it depended on who came to dinner. I think the really sophisticated then we're sophisticated to a greater degree than we ever could be now.
Why? Because there was so much less to know then. Think about it, a great thinker had so little to process. Today we are bombarded with information and experiences. We retain very little of the former and largely ignore the latter.

Robert Reed with short, straight hair looked very debonair.

18:00 probably the worst performance I've seen. She even, incredibly, asks for help. That's like asking a ref for help in a game.
