Many people would not even consider this a high song... Jackie Evancho is a mezzo-soprano: a mid-range singer and (I think) sings the notes beautifully. There are plenty of singers with bad vocal training (imagine Christina Aguilera singing this) who would make the "high" notes in this song incredibly shrill and unlistenable. Jackie Evancho's high notes in this song (I think) sound nicer than the average female singing this song.

Evancho hits notes I can only pretend to reach. And Hollend's smooth tenor adds substance; He is able to fill in gaps left by a missing orchestra. So much so, you think they have full accompaniment.

I honestly wish there was a "love" button for this. I've listened to this song so many times when I've been feeling down and upset. The voices blend beautifully together, the harmonies are perfection, and it- oh, it's just absolutely incredible.

OMG!!! Not only does Jackie Evancho give me the chills, but she also makes my body get full of goose bumps, infant not only does my arms and legs get goose bumps, but my whole entire back gets full of goose bumps.
This song is so complex and many artists who try to sing it can't always serve it justice. But this is a very beautiful video. And those notes! Holy crap! That was amazing!

I always knew this young lady was special when I watched her on AGT singing with the incomparable Sarah Brightman and holding her own at the age of 10. Then she totally floored me the next year with her rendition of Nessun Dorma which was just,in one word, epic.Her Pie Jesu still causes salty tears to stream down my face.

Not to worry, because it is simply the same group of jealous, spiteful, and hateful trolls that has been posting their negative (and often vile) comments since she first appeared on the America's Got Talent videos from 4 years ago. They constantly look for Jackie's new videos in order to leave their worthless remarks because when they have been discovered on most of her older videos, the owners block them and remove their postings. Hopefully, Mr. Hollens will follow that trend and perform the same public service for this wonderful video before they continue to pollute the comment section here. Good day to you.

I've heard at least 40 recordings of this, Leonard's recording in London, sings "do you" rather than "do yah", perhaps the queen was in attendance, Jackie and Peter's recording is the only other that I've heard sung properly, a small touch, but makes it perfect.
I am a music student myself and I've heard many beautiful voices and many renditions of this song but never has one brought me to tears the way this one has
1:10 to 1:39 is the most emotional part for me. Jackie did that so well and it nearly brought tears to my eyes. All those high notes....all the emotion....wow

But when Jackie joins in it made my heart flutter because I have followed her music from her days on America's Got Talent and she was amazing then and is still amazing today and will continue to be amazing for the rest of her career. Just her rendition of Vavilov's "Ave Maria" and her duet singing "Say Something" with Cheyenne Jackson demonstrates the different vocal styles of this young CC artist that are absolutely beautiful. One is ethereal reverent and the other absolutely, heart wrenchingly beautiful.

I'd love to hear Peter do some acappella versions of (Korean singer) Lee Hi's songs: Lee Hi's "1234" is almost an acappella song as it is (other than bass, drums and sparse keyboard chords). Her "First Love" album has a lot of great possibilities ("Rose", "One Sided Love", "Fool for Love" etc.).

While I am not a fan of religious music (I am a 60's hippie and like classic rock almost exclusively), I liked this duet a lot. I have followed Jackie Evancho since she first started singing and I find I love everything she sings, regardless of what genre of music it is. I purchased a CD of Jackie's for my mother and she loves her voice too. Well done, Peter and Jackie!
