When I was a kid, I associated this song with the start of the summer holidays (my dad had the oceans 11 soundtrack on cd and I would ask him to play it the day school broke up). Listening to it now to remind myself that maybe you're right, and everything will be ok. Can't see it yet, but I fuckin hope so! ☺
I agree. Certain music just makes you fuckin smile, and makes you say "ya know what, life isn't too fuckin bad at all." THIS is one of those songs. I love it.
@@steveforest8385 Wow! One can judge for themselves. ua-cam.com/video/8AJxd01cKQ8/v-deo.html Certainly David Holmes credited the original composition...?
One of the most low key, low profile legendary producers of all time. David Holmes is the man. Superb DJ too. And this track is the bomb. Ps he is the music behind the show Kin.
For some unknown reason whenever I hear this song it makes me happy, relax & takes me back to the good old, simple days of late 1990s & early 2000s!!!!
I watched him live in Madrid in 2003. He mixed so many legendary songs unexpectedly with some latin beats. Led Zeppelin, Talking Heads, Velvet Underground etc... He showed his art, amazed everybody. I am so thankful for that night. This guy knows music. Period.
Underrated genius who has turned out some amazing music that just makes life seem more colourful whenever you hear it. Love this track, Let’s Get Killed was a groundbreaking album and his essential mix on BBC Radio 1 was one of the best they ever had. Then there’s his soundtrack work like ‘Out of Sight’ and his more recent music like Holy Pictures. Total legend in my eyes!
I remember the 1st time I heard this was just after I had been to Vegas to see the Rolling Stones and the impact of the city was fresh in my mind and even though I was on a bus in Northern Canada this music still gave me goose bumps. I can close my eyes and easily be on Las Vegas Blvd at night with those fountains making a trippy display of dancing water and I can see the crowd all along the edge of the water in rapture watching it. Funny how music can evoke such a deep feeling...
I remember this at the end of Oceans 11 and thought it was Royksopp for some reason. Looked at the official sound track and it led me here and I am using it to end a house mix....fucking love the internet!
Mario Alfano No but.... it’s a sample, and a fab one at that. I can listen to this on repeat forever. So good. I dedicate this to my friend, Sarah. You get it.
I love this song. For some reason, when I listen to it, it feels like things are going to be okay
Exactly
Unless Terry Benedict finds you.

This tune will be forever linked to Las Vegas. Ocean's 11!!!!
This is so good!! David Holmes has come up with the greatest feelgood song ever! Whatever mood you are in, this will lift you even higher!!
He didn't exactly come up with it. The tune is sampled from a 1969 song by Le Orme called 'Ad Gloriam'.

Ted Nugent can go to hell. Dude got people killed with his BS.
This is such an amazing song. So simple and yet so beautiful.
It is a feel good song but I can't get this song out of my head now.
The 90s before this shitshow we have today.
So true. Long live the 20th century
Too true, makes you realise how easy life was in 70s,80s and 90s, pity we can't go back there.....
