Jim, your neighborhood seems to be filled with lovely gardens! I love all the garden rooms that these property owners have created, as well as the fun garden art they've incorporated into their gorgeous gardens. This garden was a feast for the eyes, and the ears, with the birds singing in the background. Thanks for filming and giving us another lovely garden tour. Thank the gardener for us too! ~Margie
I just finished repotting a "found" green, upright Japanese maple. Last fall the new garden center at the end of my street piled up a bunch of small trees and flowering shrubs. I trash picked some jewels, including this tree! Thanks for the EXCELLENT instructions on this channel regarding growing Japanese maples in containers.
I am in zone 6b, so I would not be able to grow these here. I will have to admire them from afar for now. Thank you for sharing! I adore your videos and draw so much inspiration from them every time! ♥️
Thank you for showing these shade gardens. So much inspiration! I also noticed that several of your yours lack any grass. I wish I could convince my spouse to do away with the grass, but then where would he ride on his beloved tractor?
Hi from Australia, Jim. I started my own garden two years ago, and I bought the nursery I was working at last year. I just wanted to say I really enjoy your videos. You do great work!
There is no gimbal ever made that I won't throw away immediately 🤣. They are awful to use. Also it one more thing to think about that isn't the plants.
Wow I just learned from this my mystery plant is winter honeysuckle it’s been here since we moved in this house 35 years it’s been struggling but now with a lil more sun it’s nice right under a purple lorapetlum does not seem to invade at all! You have solved my mystery plant.. I love it!! Thanks Jim! JUDY in pensacola
Thank you for another great tour and thanks also to the owners, they have such a peaceful and tranquil garden. The bananas are wonderful - I can only grow them as container annuals so I’m envious. The garden art makes the space come alive. 😄
A beautiful video! I’m just now appreciating the beauty of camilias. I bought a pink Camilla sasanqua at a garden show earlier this spring, now I want two more😊
Jim, when was this landscape & Camellia collection started? Truly a well thought out, wonderful space. Looks like they've taken great care of the big tree too. Was it selectively thinned? What size camellias do they usually start with? Thanks Jim & homeowner for sharing this captivating garden!
Jim, just watched your hardy zone 7 "10 tough shrubs" video from last year. Great picks, but what hollies can you recommend to me? I am trying to landscape a hard clay and shale area that was previously a granite gravel drive. Backhoe and hardwood mulch coming soon, but hoping to plant Little Gem Magnolias, Rhododendron and Holly with an ornamental small tree (?) - all for privacy. Any ideas you could share??? BTW Golden Ligustrum is great here.
Love your garden tour videos? Question: I have two Camellia japonica's which are probably 7 ft tall and they have never been pruned. Would it damage them if I tried to limb them up at this point? I really like the tree form camellia's, but I wondered if taking off large lower branches would be too stressful for them. Thanks for your informative videos!
Absolutely beautiful garden. But how many people are on staff to keep up with all maintenance? There aren’t enough hours in the day for one person to keep up with all that. Still amazing.
Question...my husband lays black paper.down under mulch to help with weeds...then he cuts out the area for the plant when he plants them. For the plants that spread out as they grow and multiply...are we stunting their growth by having the black paper there around the plant? Any recommendations? Thank u!
I have a large camellia with black fungus on the leaves. How do I treat this? I'm in the Winston Salem area and it gets morning sun. I don't want to lose the plant. Can you help?
Lovely garden, but please tell the owner he should untie those tea lights from the big tree. He’s built a lighting rod to direct immense power into the house. If that tree is hit, he will lose most of his appliances and electronics, and face the likelihood of risk of fire. Lighting will travel down the tree, though the wire and into the house.
I like the term “a little bossy” to describe an aggressive plant. Enjoyed the tour.
What a lovely garden! Please thank the homeowner for us! 😊👍💗
Another inviting garden. Really nice brick pathways and garden artwork, that Lemon Glow lives up to it's name!

What a beautiful garden! It’s a very lush. I’m surprised to see so many peonies in so much shade.
Yeah. Surprising.
The birds singing.... oh my what a dreamy garden❣️

Could make a tour again when the camelia are in Bloom this spring? Thank you thank you😍

WOW that Jacks Camelia is amazing!
It really is
Okay, so 'Jack's' and 'Lemon Glow' go on my Mother's Day list.
My sons thank you.
You have made their gift giving very easy this past year.
Yes, lemon glow!
Thank you for showing these shade gardens. So much inspiration! I also noticed that several of your yours lack any grass. I wish I could convince my spouse to do away with the grass, but then where would he ride on his beloved tractor?
Love these garden tours... and the Camellias, especially the lemon glow Camellia.
A very charming and cozy place. A surprising amount of camellias...wow. That Lemon Glow and that Jacks were gorgeous! Thanks Jim!
That porch area is inspiring

Jim love the videos and the content
and of course how knowledgeable you are.
We for sure need to get you a gimbal though for these tours! 😅

My kind of garden!!❤️
Beautiful! What a labor of love. The camellias are beautiful just as they are, even with a few blooms.
It is nice just to see them allowed to get some size on them. The flowers getter bigger as the plants do.
I want to dig up the rest of our lawn!!! Thank you Jim.
everywhere you turn, something to see
beautiful!

Thank you for another beautiful tour! I love watching them. Such magical gardens!
He's so enamored with the camellias (aren't we all) that he doesn't even mention that the tea olive is growing through the porch floor! 😎
Thank you for another great tour and thanks also to the owners, they have such a peaceful and tranquil garden. The bananas are wonderful - I can only grow them as container annuals so I’m envious. The garden art makes the space come alive. 😄
The camellias are amazing. I will look forward to seeing this garden again . Thanks Jim❤️😊❤️
Interesting mix with the honeysuckle right across the path from the stinking hellebore.
A beautiful video! I’m just now appreciating the beauty of camilias. I bought a pink Camilla sasanqua at a garden show earlier this spring, now I want two more😊
Beautiful yard. Thank you for the tour. I'd never seen the Jack's camilla. It is so beautiful. Rare beauty.
It may be the best overall balance of perfect flower and great form.
Another gorgeous landscape. Very eclectic! Love the camellias!
I love that garden! So beautiful! Thanks for sharing all these amazing🌿 gardens Jim! 😊🪴
Love these tours! What a beautiful neighborhood you live in.

Would have loved to see the Cornus Florida a little more 😔
Beautiful 😍
Yes. It was mulched by camellia buds.
Didn’t know peonies could take so much shade. Is there a variety that prefers more shade compared to another?

When will my new Peony bloom in Greensboro?
Thanks for sharing Jim. I am in North Carolina further north of Raleigh. I haven't tried Camelias yet. Do they require alot of shade?
Any suggestions for some camellia types good for tree forming ?
Are all camellia likes shade?
Sasanqua Camellias will tolerate more sun, but yes all like some afternoon shade.
@@JimPutnam they also prefer to be in a sheltered area (out of the wind) - is that correct?
Do you need to remove the flowers from under the Camilla, I have been told to do this but not why.
What are some camellia varieties that grow to 30ft?

Making sure to get this out before the champions league starts.
That's 💯. Can't wait!!
What is “champion league?!’ 🙏🏼
@@christinalw19 European club soccer tournament. My team is playing and needs to do a comeback.
@@christinalw19 It is the championship of all of the european soccer leagues. My favorite team Chelsea is in the final 8.
💖💖💗
It saddens me when I see crape murder. If it needs to come to that a smaller growing tree would of suited best
When is to much to much...........
