The story of Breaking Bad -> El Camino -> Better Call Saul truly is peak fiction, and it never stops being peak fiction. From Episode 1 of BB to the final scene of BCS, not a single moment is wasted in its story telling.
I hadn't seen it either, I knew this universe from memes and of course from friends who were fans. Especially during the period when Better Call Saul was airing. Right now I'm in season 2 right now of Breaking Bad and it's been a amaizing. Peak television indeed for now.
Personally there are plenty of lulls in S2 and S3 but that was after multiple viewings. S4 and S5 are some of the best seasons of television ever made, zero hyperbole.
Joey and me are the type of people who like character interactions and slow buildups in a story. I guess thats why we were hooked to BB from ep 1. I have seen people complain that BB is slow and this and that and it gets good from s3 and all that bullshit. And im like "huh? Is that so?"
If he thinks the first episode was that good, can't wait till he gets to Season 3+ I just finished rewatching it with my mom (her first time watching) and the first 2 seasons were miserably slow, so if he gets past them he should be good
I like joeys style. Waiting till hype dies down and can avoid spoilers and mas binge the show. Best way to view. Though his use of "Rizz" makes me sad... just not. Please no.
I personally prefer BCS to BB. However, in terms of live-action, there are quite a few series I have a preference for; Star Trek: DS9, The Leftovers, Dark, BSG, Rome, Les Misérables, Undone, War & Peace, John Adams, The Great.
I feel like the accents are making me want to clarify: it’s not that Walter wants to “go out with a bang” and so he starts making drugs. It’s that the American health care system is so absolutely fucked that he knows that getting terminal cancer will not only take him away from his family, but leave them completely destitute, broke, and most likely homeless. There are several points in the first season where the family’s financial situation is referenced. It’s all to make enough money to survive.
The American healthcare system _is_ fucked to be sure, but making drugs wasn't his only options. He could have taken the money from Elliot and Gretchen, but he turned it down, because of his ego.
@@Sugarman96this, this and this. There are other realistic options other than that. I had cancer about 7 months ago and I paid $500 for a $330,000 surgery. That’s it. Doesn’t mean the healthcare system doesn’t suck but it’s not necessarily like people say.
Breaking Bad's a show I still can't watch again. After Ozymandias and all the evil, painful things that happen are just too much. It broke me thoroughly when it aired and I still can't watch it again...
Breaking Bad is a great series, but nothing will ever beat the German Netflix series Dark for #1 in my heart. Best written, best directed, best casted tv series I’ve ever seen.
Ok but what the heck was up with the Schrödinger thing? And the third world which was introduced like the last 2 episodes? It was almost really good but the last few plot points had almost zero build up and felt really unsatisfying.
@@thatguysho227The “third world” is the original world. The invention on time travel in that world created both Jonas and Marta’s worlds. It’s not the most perfect ending but there’s not really another direction they could’ve gone that would be a happier ending.

I mean from start to finish it is a gradual build up to season 6 but season 5 I would say has its moments and was overall great at starting to merge the cartel and lawyer parts of Jimmy’s life together. Without spoiling anything I thought the plot line with Jimmy and Saul toward the end of season 5 was one of the more memorable parts of the series as a whole
breaking bad is the most overrated show of all time. strictly plot driven, with insufferable characters like skylar that do not have an arc at all. trash.
