one thing I would like as a totally blind person is a camera shutter sound so that I know when it has taken the picture. also it might be worth adding audible indications so a totally blind person knows when they have text in the middle of the frame so that it is easy to get a good photograph. The Orcam device gives a double beep to tell a totally blind person that it has detected text. it might be a good idea to incorporate something similar so a blind person knows when to take a picture.
Hi Sam, I really appreciate your excellent channel and videos. My vision recently took a downturn, and I got my heart set on an eSight in order to optimise what I've got left and continue working. However, I don't have six grand up front so have been looking at the other options. NuEyes is only slightly less expensive than eSight 3 in Canada, so that leaves the Cyber Eyez for me. Your videos have been very helpful for getting familiar with issues and benefits.
One thing that I would like this item to have would be the ability to tell you what color the traffic light is and what the walk signal is? The other thing is it would be nice if it could help find curb cuts and help you tell where there is a drop-off or a high curb? The third thing that would make these glasses more valuable would have the ability to c connect to the following services and types of services (Be My Eyes and Aira)?
Thanks for the great channel! What's up with the underlined music? Please excuse my English but there is no need to blur your good message with background noise.
Hi. I want to try these glasses but having trouble finding them on the market. When I google them all I get is Maxiaids but they do not carry them. Can you assist me in where to try or buy them? I would greatly appreciate any help you could provide. Thanks
Just simply that the online will give you much better results quicker than the off-line. Off-line still works really well though especially if you’re away from Wi-Fi.
Yes absolutely. The screen is very small and only sits in front of one eye. And even if that is too obtrusive, you can angle it up out of the way so you have complete field of you.
thank you for your amazing videos. I have a question for you? I’ve never seen in my life. My question is is there any solution or devices can help me to see? thank U again
It all depends on why your eyes don’t work. Is it the eyes themselves that are damaged or perhaps the optic nerve, or something in your brain. There is lots of research around the world going on right now. The future looks very promising.
hello, i have been followimg all your reviews on all the diffeent eyewear...it looks like all of them are old..we are in 2020 and lots of upgrades have been done. please share with me some new thoughts as i am new to my eye problem and have very similar condition as you. I have left you several comments on different produts and have not heard back. thank you tony
Hey Tony, many of the devices haven’t changed that much, just small updates to software. I’ve tried to make videos of any devices new on the market or that have changed hardware. However, it isn’t always easy for me to get my hands on these things to make videos.
SIT KOSIT SONGSANGKAJORN We don't have an agency there, but @Vuzix does offer a 30 day money back guarantee and has local shipping in Asia. Shoot us an email at sales@cybertimez.com and we can get you set up!
If I wanted to read a book to my kids it doesn't sound like this would be the right device?? I want to be able to see the page from maybe 18 inches away and then read it to them. What would you suggest? I've used a monocular but then one hand is tied up holding the book and the other the monocular. I've tried by iPhone but I have to be pretty close and it gets heavy after a while. Thanks!
I would actually look at one of the devices using the VR headset style. These guys, cyberEyez has a newer version that uses a VR headset. It’s called trifecta and I have a video about it. There’s also iris vision and the patriot viewpoint. These have all worked really well for me.
Hi Sam!!! I'm so glad i found you! You have been so helpful with these videos. I'm a professional artist and losing my vision. I'm going to a demo Monday to try esight... but $6000! 1/2 a year's income! This is considerably less, i could walk around with it (I've had 4 surgeries due to broken ankles now from walking). But will i be able to see my models and my artwork as clearly? I'm also severely light sensitive (i spray paint glasses to go outside), and i know esight has a shield for that. I'm just trying to get some of my freedom back and continue working. Any suggestions for the best option since you've tried them all?
Unfortunately, since everyone’s vision is different it’s hard for me to say what will work better for you or not. The best I can say is to try as many as possible before you commit to buying one.
OMG they listened (mostly) about going cordless!!! I was talking to them at CSUN and told them how much I HATE CORDS!!! I'm actually more excited about it now. It's almost as quick as OrCam when reading, lol and I saw you try to point to get to read. Very cool!
Cyber Eyez has magnification on the screen whereas or cam does not. Many of the other features are similar however, in my opinion, or cam out performs cyber Eyez.
Actually I just heard of a brand new device that has been designed specifically for watching TV. I’ll do my best to get my hands on it for a review video. Stay tuned
It’s pretty similar really. I think I prefer omOrcam though. Although, if you need magnification then Orcam won’t work for you. That’s definitely something to consider.
Feet on the Ground Flying Absolutely! This is one of the shirts that you can find on my Amazon shop. I have a link in the description of my videos. That Amazon shop is where I put all the products I recommend in my videos, as well as all these shirts I'm selling! This 1 is probably my favorite shirt as well!
Patrick Olson it supports digital magnification up to 15x with no lag. Feel free to call us at (202) 827-6883 x 1 if you have any further questions, we would be more then happy answer them all!
Sounds like a really fantastic product. They claimed at invention year before last that they would find somebody to fund the product for you, that has turned out not to be true. Other than that, I think it would make me very happy.
I will, thank you for letting me know. The last time I checked unless you were actually working with vocational rehabilitation, they weren’t paying anything. And there was nobody else to go through. If they can find another avenue besides OVR, I would be interested.
Of course, it’s going to be different for everyone but I’ve never had much luck watching television with a wearable device. The problem is that I need to increase magnification so much so that I can see the image, but when I do, I am zoomed in so far that I can only see a small section of the screen. Simply getting a larger TV and sitting closer has always been the answer for me.
George Stokes While that device has some similar functionality, Cyber Eyez has many more options, a much longer battery life and a MUCH lower price. Feel free to call us at (202) 827-6883 x 1 to talk about all the GREAT things Cyber Eyez can do for you!

Madmelvelous you can also try the Patriot ViewPoint!

It’s sort of become a standard on UA-cam to have music playing in the background of your video. Plus I really like that song! LOL
I’m wondering; do you have to have a PC in order to use this product?
Hi. I want to try these glasses but having trouble finding them on the market. When I google them all I get is Maxiaids but they do not carry them. Can you assist me in where to try or buy them? I would greatly appreciate any help you could provide. Thanks
Hi, How this is comparable to other device Orcam 2.. I like this with Screen attached to it. Also is it available in Asian Countries ? TIA
i cant get to website to work for months now, are they out of business?
I'm confused, the smart glasses demonstrated are Vuzix, so this is the same product as cyber-eyes or the app?
Two questions:1. Does the enhanced hearing aid come with the device?2. Can you use the device while not wearing it, for IDing colors, moods, etc.?
It does not come with a hearing aid. And yes, you can use the device without wearing it.
What is the difference between using the online or offline aspects of he o.c.r. Component?
Just simply that the online will give you much better results quicker than the off-line. Off-line still works really well though especially if you’re away from Wi-Fi.
Can you walk around with this without getting motion sick or bumping into things? For example, could you put it on and walk into a store to shop?
Yes absolutely. The screen is very small and only sits in front of one eye. And even if that is too obtrusive, you can angle it up out of the way so you have complete field of you.
Does it have a visual tracking feature? How does the OCR compare to Orcam Myeye 2?
I’m not sure this company is even still around.

HI SAM.
DOES THIS DEVICE HAVE LIKE THE DIFFERENT COLOR MODES LIKE BLACK BACKGROUND WHITE LETTERS, ETC? THANKS.
Yes, however, I don’t think they are making this device anymore. I think they are focusing primarily on the trifecta.
SAM,
IN THE TRIFCTIC, DOES THIS CYBEREzES GLASSES COME WITH IT, OR DOES IT HAVE THE PREVIOUS VERSION?
It comes with the things I showed in the video. You can always contact them to get more specific information.

I wish they would make a device really suitable for watching tv
