- HI! I am back!
It's been a long time coming, I moved to a bigger city and focusing on jobs and building a life consumed me! But I came back as I got a request from someone on my last video about what I wore in Egypt.
Here is a quick video of my clothing choices while I was visiting Egypt. Now, everyone has their own experiences there and this was mine. Everyone has the right to dress however they would like while visiting other countries, this is just how I felt I should to try and respect the country while spending time there.

Thank you for the advice ur video was very helpful. I got my envisa aprove and I’ll be arriving Cairo Giza Sep 9 /2021 , I’ll be staying 11 days and I’m so excited! I feel like I don’t wanna pack to much cuz I would like to go shopping in Cairo.
Egypt is on my bucket list. Great advise on how to dress down there. I noticed that you mentioned that you were hot there and was wondering when you went. I heard that Feb and March are the best times to go.

Great advice!!!! I was there last month and I felt the same...even though I have dark hair and dark eyes..i somehow ended up getting crazy attention. I tried to blend in as much as I could...I even bought a long Epytian style kaftan dress just to blend in a little more. I felt more ppl would stare when I wore pants and a tshirt. Great video, girl!! I'm gonna go check out your other vlogs now!

I’m from AZ, so I think I will be fine. I am always cold, I could not do Canada in the cold months.
Guies this depends on where you are in egypt?? If you are in cairo or alexandria yes better to wear a little bit conservative cloths but if you are in hurgada or sharm alsheikh or the red see cities you can wear what ever you want.
did certain fabrics work better for you on your trip for the weather/heat? (cotton, linen, etc)

Kelsey I am leaving for Egypt this Friday. My friend wants to bring in liquor for our room. I thought that I read somewhere that the customs would take it even if it’s duty free. Do you have an answer for that
I'm a 11 year old girl going to Egypt soon, do I have to wear something that covers my 1 piece swimsuit and do I have to wear a scarf and things that cover up a lot for example no short sleeves and shorts.
I'm from Egypt but if you're a tourist you're not expected to wear scarves while swimming. I would say just make sure to wear something like a cardigan or something else that covers up for when you're not in the pool :)
Tattoos acceptable? Such as a wrist? So is denim the prob or the tight bum? Most of my Jean material is black. Is that ok?

Kelsey, did you get attention for wearing pants instead of a skirt, or are pants not a big deal? I'll be there in November and not sure if I should pack a couple of skirts, though I seldom wear them at home; and my comfortable sneakers wouldn't look good with them. Thanks - very helpful info!
richard & andrea o hi! Wow thank you! I did get attention in basically anything I wore, but like I said I wore very loose pants and I did wear a long skirt at one point, it was down to my ankles and it was a bit tighter and I got the same attention as wearing pants. So if you’re going to bring a skirt just make sure it’s long! And I would probably say stick to loose skirts, I wish I did!

So this is super late but for anyone else wondering the same thing: wear whatever you want. We do wear tight, loose& ripped jeans in Egypt. I think the girl in the video is just too blonde and too pretty that she would attract attention anyway

After all you are going there to experience their country correct? So why be disrespectful. Don't assume because I was stared at that it's because of the way I look
@@kelseykennedi7732 oh no i didn't mean to sound dismissive i was trying to compliment you i guess it didn't translate well I'm so sorry.... What i was trying to say is that she's not obligated to wear skirts and stuff if she's not comfortable with them and shouldn't make herself wear them out of worry for attracting attention or being disrespectful as wearing pants is widely accepted. And that your features are very beautiful and unique in Egypt which could've contributed to why you'd get attention i guess that was presumptive of me and again I'm so sorry 😥

I felt like a minority there though I am afrocentric hair and dark complexion. There were more caucasian than afrocentric blacks. The Egyptians are coco to dark skin but their hair is not afro black
Honestly, no disrecpect to the video, but you wear what you like. Shorts, tshirt, dress, skirt whatever. Only in mosqies do you need to cover up. We followed the video tips about the dress code but its not needed except for mosques
