There are so many tutorials where you have to install the driver from the microsoft website and turn test mode on and do so such work. This was much easier! Thanks for saving alot of my time!

Thanks for the simple video. If you are having an issue where the controller doesn't want to connect after hitting sync on both device. Unplug the receiver. Plug it back in, only hit sync on your remote. That should do the trick.

Unfortunately for me when I update the drivers in the device manager from xbox controller to reciever it requires a restart but after I restart my pc and check the device manager it still doesnt change from xbox controller to reciever. Maybe you have an answer to my setup questions: I have a Samsung Smart TV (Tizen OS), an original XBOX360 wireless controller, but NO Mircosoft XBOX360 receiver. A friend of mine tested a 360 controller with a Microsoft XBOX360 receiver on my TV and it worked. Can I connect a counterfeit receiver to my TV with this driver update and use the original XBOX360 controller?
I know this is an old video but was just wondering how many controllers can be connected? Just because when I have friends round I normally connect the PC to my tv and play couch co op so was hoping the reciever could hold up to 4 controllers at once - thanks.

the input lag is not noticeable, it'll be worth it for shooters if that's what you will use it for.

Hey, quick question. Can I insert this wireless adapter into my Xbox One S and then connect the Xbox 360 wireless controller to my Xbox One S?
I don't believe so as the radio frequency may be set on another channel, you can connect your one controller with the adapter

Possibly, you could always try a 3rd party reciever and see if it works, if it doesn't just refund the device 👍
So are you using batteries? If so what's that cable on the controller for?
Gotta use batteries, otherwise you won't have power
