Collection of all the promotional material I managed to find for the VERY polarizing middle installment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy.
So... I'm split on this movie. There are things Rian Johnson did that I really enjoyed and others that I found obnoxious. I'd write my full thoughts on it, but that would pass the character limit so I'll refrain from doing so. I will say that this film has spawned some very tiresome, toxic discourse which has just made me mostly apathetic towards recent Star Wars media and the fandom in general. Minus Andor, that show is fantastic.
And needless to say, regardless of your thoughts on the movie, please do keep the comments and any potential discussions civilized. Thank you. 🙏

This was one of the best Star Wars movies post George Lucas alongside rouge one I saw it opening night at the El Capitan theater and had the time of my life +I got into the rest of Rian Johnson's wonderful filmography.

In The Last Jedi novelization, Luke did mentions Rey about his wife during her training. There is a speculation that Mara Jade can be pulled from the EU and Into canon. And we have seen this in that one merchandise which is the Solo: A Star Wars Story children’s book.
What an incredible Star Wars movie this was.
There was one scene that I really loved: When old Luke was going to burn the tree, Yoda (as a force ghost) appeared and used his force stuff to burn the tree by himself. For that scene, I was so excited when they used a Yoda puppet instead of a CGI Yoda (like in the prequels; the original theatrical pre-2011 of The Phantom Menace had a Yoda puppet) and I was so grateful.
I would lay off the toxic fandom because the haters are so really stupid.
Well it is best to distinguish the toxic fanboys from people who have constructive criticism towards the movie. Generalizations are already rampant enough on the Internet as it is.
Just gonna come clean and say it...
I love this movie, it's the best of the sequels and the haters are stupid.
Well... let's not generalize everyone who dislikes this movie as being on the same level as the toxic fanboys, yes? Subjectivity is a thing after all.

I've also had it requested from two other people a long while back. Don't really see the point in just pointlessly ignoring these requests regardless of my actual thoughts on the sequel trilogy.
@@Jurassic1993Park The reason why I disliked the Sequel Trilogy is not because how the story itself is a copy to the Original Trilogy. But I do not like the idea of killing the entire Skywalker family. Especially Rey being the Chosen One when it should have been Anakin (in a Force Ghost) to finish Palpatine off once and for all.

Oh lord yes. I just stay away from every fandom discourse nowadays.
Man, was this a very divisive movie when it came out. After The Force Awakens did so well, of course they had to make a trilogy out of it. When this one came out audiences were torn. Like, half of the audience thought it was good and aside the flaws, while the other half thought it was a bad movie and pointed out all of the flaws. I’m somewhere in between. It’s kind of a mix of a good movie and a bad movie. Either way, we all know one thing is for sure. This movie help sell tons of Porg merchandise.
Luke Skywalker: I Will Not Be The Last Jedi.
After watching this Star Wars movie, I feel this is like a copy of The Empire Strikes Back. And I do not like the idea of Luke Skywalker being a downgrade hermit. Especially when he was killed off in the film (since George’ Lucas’s original concept is that he live through until Episode 9 of the saga). Growing up with one of my childhood heroes, I was hoping to see him become a full on Jedi Master like the one from the EU. Sadly it didn’t. That is until the last episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 brought Luke Skywalker back to action. The kind of Luke who is more mature and very wise Jedi.
Despite this ruined the sequel trilogy but I still like it and I always still get chills from the Teaser trailer and image the Teaser poster
If you think the last jedi was bad then it would've ruin the star wars franchise for a not so ending like this
I was just disappointed in the last Jedi, because they made Luke Skywalker a coward.
