I just purchased this Jigsaw. Brother, finally a step by step guide on how to use a tool. Thank you so much. I’m pretty mechanically inclined , and can do alot with just instructions. So anyone can follow this video and have a step by step guide on how to use it. It’s amazing. Thanks brother
Literally the BEST video I have watched no fluff, no BS, no upsells...here is how to use it now go...lol love it! The only thing quicker than this video is me hitting the subscribe button. Thanks!!
@fixanythingsavemoney loved it! Absolutely keep making them 👏 I will be going through your channel here shortly to see what other tips you have. I was actually looking for a quick demo on the Dewalt Jigsaw and hit the nail on the head. I had just opened the box and (who reads instructions 😅) you told me everything I needed to know in 2 min that was awesome. Side note: I am done with the project I needed the jig saw for everything worked perfectly thank you for the awesome video 💪 keep pushing 👊 thanks again!
Wow, I've never seen anyone make a video with no ads and no bullshit. It's very to the point, and i love it!! Mine did come with a little plastic cover that goes around the blade on the 'shoe' but I cannot get it to fit snug
Glad the video helped you! Comments like these help motivate me to create more videos! If you're new to the channel and would like to see more tool and DIY videos be sure to subscribe and check them out! Thanks for watching, have a great day!
Great video, I just bought this and had no idea how to insert the blade, even after watching this I put it in the wrong way round! then realised.... At least I know what all the levers do now. Thankyou!
The speed settings are really up to the user. If you're making cuts that don't have to be as precise you can bump the speed up to get through the material quicker. Precision cuts I always recommend going as slow as possible so you don't make a bad cut and waste material. I find the high speed works great when you're cutting through long sheets of plywood and you don't need to be perfect with your cuts. I usually use lower speeds if I'm cutting through pvc or any kind of materials like that. Hopefully this helps!
Thanks for that great review. Someone gave me a brand new one of these minus the battery (and instructions). I have a lot of DeWalt mains powered tools as i like their quality but have 2 Makita 18 volt drills and 3 batteries so i bought an adapter for £17 (UK). I went to use it for the first time yesterday but couldn't figure out how to change the blade! Felt such an idiot so used my mains powered Bosch which blows sawdust straight into your eyes! Funny how simple things are when you know how!
The lever on the side does not lift the blade up or down: that's incorrect; it's a pendulum setting which allows the blade to either rotate in a pendulum fashion or straight up and down while it's running
Yes you're correct! Thanks for pointing that out. I think I updated the description awhile ago to reflect the mistake I made but I'll double check! Have a great night!
Thanks to this video I've solved a problem I didn't realize you had to push the foot forward to lock in your bevel angle then tighten it up I was just tightening the lever I've been getting F'd up cuts because the bevel angle kept drifting
God call! I didn't even notice I said up or down. You are correct. Thanks for the correction! Appreciate the feedback. Thanks for watching, have a great weekend!
It is the oscillating function. With it on, the blade will not simply move back and forth in a straight path, it will move forward a bit. It helps you cut through the material. Think of it like a self-propelled lawn mower. @@cwatson42785
Blade change? I hardly saw the blade... I kept trying to install what I thought was a generic blade but it would not stay in my SC 334... now I'm guess that it's a proprietary blade.
Apologies if the video didn't clearly show the blade change. I'm still getting used to filming and getting good at showing everything. I've put milwaukee blades on it before so I know other brands will fit with no issues. Be sure to subscribe and check out my other tool videos! Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend!
I agree I should have spent some more time on the blade change. This might sound silly but make sure you're not putting it in upside down. I've accidentally done that and it will just fall out. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching, have a great day!
Yeah worked easily for me as well. I hadn't updated my jig saw in 30 years it finally puttered out and I had to go scoop up this DeWalt.. thanks for the tip

Concerning the variable speed, when would you use the high speed and when to use the low speed? I have not found a video that explains this function.
The speed settings are really up to the user. If you're making cuts that don't have to be as precise you can bump the speed up to get through the material quicker. You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
The knob you point to at 35 seconds into the video adjusts the orbital action of the blade, not up or down.
You are correct! Someone mentioned this awhile ago too. Thank you !
That’s not the “blade height” adjustment knob. It’s to change the blade path. Big difference.
God call! I didn't even notice I said up or down. You are correct. Thanks for the correction! Appreciate the feedback. Thanks for watching, have a great weekend!
So what does it do and would would you use it for? I've had jigsaws for years that have them and never messed around with the features like that

I can't get the blade to stop falling out. A little more time on that would be helpful.

What else do u want him to do? It's literally 2 steps. He showed both, plus wiggled the blade to show it was secure.
@fixanythingsavemoney u did fine. I loaded my blade in 2 secs.
