Michael Jackson performing Jam in London, United Kingdom, at the Wembley Stadium on August 23rd, 1992 (the last show in London; the other shows being on July 30th, 31st, August 20th, and the 22nd.) All of them were performed for a sold out audience of 72.000 people each, which is 360.000 people in total- as part of the Dangerous World Tour.
THOUGHTS:
Probably the best MJ performance to show anyone who’s unfamiliar with MJ. One of the absolute best Jam performances. It features live vocals and edited camera angles. So the live vocals probably weren’t heard at the show, and was most likely edited in after by unmuting MJ’s mic feed (maybe I am wrong). BOW from this show is also just amazing with live vocals. Might be the best Wembley show.

Genius.
Yeah, his moves are extremely precise and sharp. And he had some great choreographers. But Michael was also a workaholic and rehearsed tirelessly up to the world tours. It became too much in the end, and he wanted to retire. I was in LA just after his "funeral". (Dave Dave)
@@AndrewFredericia I believe he planned to retire from live performing after the BAD tour. But then he went on the Dangerous Tour primarily to make money for the Heal the world foundation. And the HIStory tour, he was pretty much forced to do it by Sony.

Michael sold out stadiums, several times over, singers just do arena's now, nobody can ever match him in his global appeal. We miss you Michael!
And the stadiums they perform in now aren't full to brimming like this. They're all seated in numbered allocated seats about 2 feet apart with rows in-between. These shows were all standing room ONLY 😭😭😭😭

So true! And one of the greatest joys in my life is that with the decades I have left, I see a talent that is as great as his. I don't think it will ever happen, but imagine who and what that human would have to be. Such an incredible and awesome thought :)😊
MJ was 33 years old here still dancing like he was a teen,Insane Ability. Him and the audience are feeding off each other’s energy. Its all just amazing to watch. He left us too early 💔

Dates had to be moved because of the electricity infrastructure wasn't that great in some poorer countries. This man literally performed on ungodly amounts of power plus his audiences sung his songs as loud as him. Telsa himself would be amazed

@@Rickil96trollencio I would say the vocals/mic can only be heard in this film of jam and black or white, because they decided to use the live vocal stem here and there. I guarantee this couldn't be heard at the actual concert. Also since we have Jam and black or white edited in exactly the same way, I'd say that there is a full show edited in the same way, from film. Most likely with bits from other Wembley dates mixed in. And most likely MTV has a copy of this, and MJ definitely did.

Jam was never my favorite song but it was the perfect opening number for a concert, it allowed Michael to set the tempo and the energy for a show like no other

What people fail to realize is that this man had an unreal catalog of songs that he had to remember all the lyrics to and was expected to dance also! This man was amazing!

It's funny how you just don't see anybody except him. His back-up dancers are amazing, his band is amazing, but I literally don't see them. Easily the best jam performance and his best performance in general in my opinion. Everything was sharp, incredibly energetic, and choreography nailed to a tea.
The additional adlibs, and what appears to be him singing over top of the playback at certain points, adds a plus to it.

I don't know why but Wembley + Michael just fits so good together. Best energy was often at Wembley on all Tours. Wembley 88 is still the pinnacle of stage performing for me.

This brought back great memories of the concert. I remember it being a very wet evening. I offered to get my partner down to the front to see Michael but to my delight she said she was frightened of getting crushed. Just as well i have a fear of getting wet. The music and the drums are so energic and are unusually played at this time of the DWT, it goes perfectly well with MJ's energy and moves. His dance, his moves, his energy are incredible, wonderful and "cerise sur le gâteau", he's singing live over the playback, we can distinctly hear him ; so great !

He was definitely shouting “Hi”, you can clearly hear him and see it too. Also the timing never changed at all, if he was calling to the band for timing you would have heard the change but it remains the same. He calls out “Hi” twice.
