An interesting idea for a protoss challenge can be ONLY LASERS. Sentry, void ray, colosus, mothership.
That is a lot of gas needed hah
Could also include oracles specifically for the attack and not the other spells.
I'd personally say Zealots and Archons could be allowed, given that their attacks are connected to themselves. Zealots with their like laser swords or whatever it is, while Archons to be fair seems to be more so lightning BUT is a beam.
Honestly main thing is just if all that can be done is Sentry until you get probably void rays, it's an instant GG to rushes for the most part. Also Colossus while an option would be horrible because of 0 front line to bunch enemies. Zealots at least let minerals get used, gives a way to protect from early rushes, and some frontline for the Colossus. Without them I think Colossus is just too weak.

I'm getting Artosis rage vibes, where arbitters are flying the sky and recall the living shit into his base out from nowhere.
When I start watching a uThermy vid, but start falling asleap during the first game and need to go take a nap and come back to it later.

I'm so glad you are doing this! The new mothership is so good in the early game, even in the mid game it's still very strong. Clearly getting it on one base isn't great against Protos, but with a bit better setup I think it will still kick a lot of buttocks, even if it's not out till 10+min.
But blink will clap any mothership build tho

I think a 3 base mothership "rush" in PvP recalling like 6 immortals (because PvP is usually stalker heavy) and a few sentries for force fields and guardian shield could be pretty nasty. Or instead of immortals, just recalling mass zealots into their main because the mothership recall field is enormous. You could probably have like 30 zealots by the 6 minute mark if you don't make really anything else.
New Protoss challenge, can only warp in with warp prisms, and gateway units only other than observer and obviously warp prism. I suppose add some other restrictions if it seems too easy lol

As a Terran player I would love to see a non Protoss pro be able to get their MMR past their mains MMR to finally show these Toss players Terran isn’t broken and P isn’t underpowered. Sadly, I am actually starting to agree PvT is very broken given all recent major tournament results. It’s looking really bad for our Protoss friends atm. Marc, maybe you can get to 6.5k on Toss to give us a little credibility.
I wouldn't be so quick to say "these toss players". You don't hear the ones that don't complain. Same with Terran and Zerg.
This strat seems OP vs Zerg, in that by targeting the queens and hatches you eliminate both production and income. In the ESL it looked like the pros were inappropriately using the tempest rush vs drones and were shift clicking targets which wasted shots/dmg.
Versus Terran it would seem prudent to also ignore scvs and target production first; tech labs>reactors>starports>CCs. Eliminate space marines upgrades and medivacs and wall in.
Versus Protoss you could target tech>artosispylons>starports>cybernetic>robo>nexus.
Reminds me a lot of Arbiter play in Brood Wars.
I feel like the cloak is more OP now, you can bait in attacks and then you cloak and they just die because their army is in the worst position
Maybe in lower levels. Higher levels not exactly. I'm not even a high level but I don't forget to get detection and aware of it. Permanent Cloaking Field is tons better and provides better value.

@@elerushielerushi9180 Nah, with permanent cloak field, units have no choice but to shoot the mothership.
With selective cloaking, you can have some of your uncloaked units absorb damage to their shields (esp if your opponenty a-moves into it) and then activate the cloaking field afterwards, effectively giving your mothership less vulnerable.
@@Siluriiformes Thats true thats whats mostly been happening. It still less of a value than it were before with Permanent. With better Mothership micro theres tons of stuffs it can do before.
Permanent Cloaking Field and an option to activate it then have like 10 seconds cooldown to activate it again would be nice. Current Cloaking Field is tons weaker than before so many things the permanent can do that the current one cannot do. Simple Oracle can deny that 2 seconds already, barely force scans or detection currently.
@@WhatsY0UTUB3 It probably wil lwork cause players are now less reliant on detection, thats their fault. If I go by current power current Cloaking Field is way too weak. Already had used it and wtached tons of recent games. It feels and already way weaker than before. Anime thing doesn't make sense.
Previous Mothership was atleast better in when it was needed the most. Mass Recall radius reduction didn't even need to be nerfed outside of Balance reasons. Even with Balance Reasons its less of a sense to rerf it even with Time Warp or Mothership itself. Still 1 at a time unit and still nerfs than buffs. Kinda odd. Not being an expert here.

Please start taking a probe with your recall so you can build a pylon and shield batteries or slow warps or both or even a gate and fast warps
This feels like a wings of liberty strat from back in the day when the mothership had vortex.
Players just don't use it the way WoL Mothership was. 5.0.11 Mothership has tons more power compared with this one, especially Double Mass Recall something this current one can't even do.

Can you try multiple motherships? I can imagine 2 different possibilities... 1 - you stack them together and use their abilities as the other finishes. 2 - split them apart and do a surprise recall
Only possible in Team Games but not exactly with Mass Recall. You can't Mass Recall allied units even if you are controlling it and they left already, I coidl be wrong though.

Maybe its time for Mothership Core to comeback. This current Mothership is good for earlier parts of the game, it really lacks power in mid-late to late game. Much better maybe to bring back Mothership Core as current Mothership and upgrade to 5.0.11 Mothership with minor improvements.
I don't really feel comfortable with this current Mothership when its needed the most (mid-late to especially late game) its feels way weaker the most. Theres more things it can do with 200 energy double Mass Recall with Nexus Recall. This current one just weak. Especially Cloaking Field.

how viable is it to supply block your enemies to submission?
I've seen Thermy and Harstem try, but I think the biggest problem is usually in order to kill their depots, pylons, or overlords you have to go through their army/workers and drop their supply, so they don't end up as severely supply blocked. The one exception I can think of is Thermy's viking hunter squads in Penguin Brothers/Skyterran sneaking around and sniping overlords.
Other problem is obviously if you're focusing on supply blocking them, you're not weakening their economy or army enough.

I never know why when there is PvZ , why don't you make a phoenix or two and hunt the overloads and just make him distracted ?
It offers a very silly game. If the mothership has recall on hand, you can recall your probes to protect them to the mother ship and make a base elsewhere... during said phase and then recall your army, lol back to defend... while building abase.
