In fact a lot of people use the word “have” in that lyric when they cover this song. But I think using the word “get“ delivers an entirely different message and perspective on how we should view each other. It conveys the idea that we should view it as a privilege to help one another.. as opposed to the word “have“ which gives the essence of a burden. It’s such a beautiful phrase.
