I'm currently studying this lesson in my Japanese language class in Japan. It's absolutely insane the amount of things we are given to memorize within just a week. Two days after we're introduced to the grammar, vocabulary, and kanji of one lesson/chapter, we are introduced to the next one as well, and then the test follows for both the following week with smaller quizzes in between. What I manage to cram in is mostly lost as recall drops because I'm always cramming in the new material. I will never understand why schools pay absolutely ZERO attention to rentention and recall. It's so stupid.
