Transcendence is THE fucking masterpiece. I've studied this song for almost 2 years non stop and it still brings me to tears every friggin' time! Truly one of the greatest songs ever written. Period.
Hope you get a chance to check Vektor. They are an experimental thrash metal band that incorporates many different elements in their music. It's very melodic and some of the stuff they do will put you in awe. Terminal Redux is one of the most important thrash albums of the last 15-20 years. I think you would really appreciate Recharging the Void.
I’ll be totally honest, I really love everything that Tomb Mold and Blood Incantation have done, I thought the Devil Master album was great, I’ve liked the stuff Revocation and Gorod have put out the last decade, I’ve liked stuff from Gatecreeper, Creeping Death, Spectral Voice, Fleshrot, Phobophilic, etc.... but I still think Terminal Redux is by far the best metal album of any genre to come out in the last decade
Agreed on Vektor as a band, but unfortunately their releases were never able to keep up with the debut. "Black Future" BY FAR is their best album, "Forests of Legend" and "Accelerating Universe" being by far the best tracks. The followup album "Outer Isolation", has "Venus Project", which is great, too. I'm sad to say, but "Terminal Redux" never did it for me.
wow. i actually wasnt really feeling it at first, but i kept at it. i kept listening with a sort of 'mean mug' on my face staring at the wall just really paying attention. man after like 5 minutes, i was fully immersed and was amazed and all the little textures they toss in. they just like give you a taste of a really sick changup to something you didnt see coming, and it keeps moving, and while your like awww, something new happens so you keep listening. then it hits you and i always just yell 'YES, SICK' and start jamming so hard. then that pattern keeps going untill those ideas start advancing and mixing even more.. man its pretty complex but they pulled off the easy-listening well. its not often i listen to something this complex that i totally 'get it' on the first listen. your channel is always the best for finding 'obscure' or 'not mainstream' music that is just so fun sorry for the random thoughts-rant: i dont mind posting them because they give good insight into the emotion of someone. and i try to type them out that way. its more honest emotionally, but makes it a fuckin mess to read lol.
Man GOROD is good. I saw them play..... they're so good they make you never want to play guitar again. 2 guitarists, all really serious musicians. Like beyond impressive.
Ok I need to aknowledge the person who requested this composition, thanks who ever you are, this is a gem! Whenever you come to Paris I pay you a beer haha! Gorod are so unique, even in the very niche of tech death. They never forget to swing or groove on a regular basis in their songs in order to not lose the listener, while being absolute masters in the tension/resolution principle. They are in my very favorite bands, along Death, Coroner and a few others. Note for the channel's host (great channel by the way!) : they are two guitarists. Seen them live numerous times, they play as tight live as on studio records ;) Edit : From Gorod I'd recommend next "Disavow Your God" (personal favorite!), "Elements and Spirit", "Here Die Your Gods" (older but yet excellent). cheers!
Gorod are amazing and so underrated imo. One of my personal fave tech death bands. They are proggy I think have a little more melody and groove than some of theses other maybe over technical bands. You should react to more Gorod!
About the vocals: I started from "clean vocals" metal (power/prog) and it took me a while to accept harsh vocals/growls. When i did enjoy a song with harsh vocals, it always came from the instrumental part first. Harsh vocals is like a barrier that won't let you focus on the instrumental part of the song unless you accept it, and once you accept it you'll see that clean vocals wouldn't fit into death metal, so growls is a necessary evil in that sense. That said, instrumental bands don't get recognition at all... a band MUST have vocals for people to get into them. So yeah, sometimes you'll see a perfectly fine instrumental song in extreme metal that was composed by a band with harsh vocals... Having them is not always the best for the song, but it needs vocals to thrive so let it have vocals
Awesome song! Hadn’t heard of these guys before. Some Stream of conscious thoughts- Immediately liked the interesting rhythm in the beginning with the organ in the background. The swingy next section was really cool. The vocalists variability was nice throughout the song. Didn’t get “bored”. It was almost an instrument as the rhythm of the guitarists. Tha bass was phenomenal throughout. Between laying down some groovy foundation or some tasty riffs. Loved it! Drumming was super solid throughout and allowed the crazy rhythms and riffs during the song. Overall loved this song. It felt long but I’m a good way. Felt like a journey I didn’t know I wanted to go on! It reminded me of BTBAM in the genre shifting and technical prowess. I’ll be checking them out. Thanks for the recommendation!
Nice! I'm glad you liked them so much! That's one of the things that make them one of my top 3 bands. The complexity and their technique in their composition isn't the only matter here, the way they use those and other resources to create music, is what makes them unique! The outro in "Syncretic Delirium" still makes me feel goosebumps when I listen to it 5 years after it's release. They are just incredible! Thanks for making me smile after 13h of work bro, this made my day! ♥️
Great analysis! Finally, yes, some Gorod. Probably one of the more underappreciated prog death metal bands. These guys are incredible composers and well-versed in a bunch of Western and non-Western musical genres outside of metal. Their style is very complex and tech-savvy, but they try to keep things super melodic, groovy and, ultimately, fun, ulike some of prog metal bands on the more "tedious and pretentious" end of spectrum. Btw, their guitarist Mathieu Pascal, who is one of the founding members, has a UA-cam channel where he plays the entirety of Transcendence in one take. (He also uploaded a terrific cover of Al Di Meola's classic Egyptian Danza). P.S. If you'll react to them again, I'd recommend the title track from Aethra LP or something from A Maze of Recycled Creed LP, for example The Mystic Triad of Artistry.
I really love their first albums (especially Leading Vision) because of how groovy and fast their tech death style is, but most of it is 3-4 minutes and I had no idea they did such a long masterpiece hidden in an EP o_O. Thanks to whoever recommended this!
Huge Gorod fan and somehow I missed this EP completely! So glad you covered it, that was a great listen. The song Inner Alchemy by them is one of my favorites, I think you would enjoy it as well
Great video and wow this band are incredible to say the least! They just released a new album actually last week with one of the songs “The Orb” has similar feel to transcendence
You my friend just listened to a pure masterpiece, I'm gonna subscribe mate..... Gorod are very similar to this, just not as long, new Album the orb came out 2 weeks ago... I'd suggest the waltz of shade.... Awesome stuff mate 👍👍
I'm a sucker for a good, catchy groove and these guys deliver. Despite all the craziness they layer on top you still feel the groove in the foundation and I love that. This is a very nice discovery.
Great to see you've actually checked these guys out before! Love going back to your older videos. If you still have the chance you should check out their song - 'Carved in the Wing' that's one of their best.
Lots of Gorod fans starved for content in the comments section lol. Such a good band. I had the chance to catch them in Tampa in 2012 or 2013 on their first US tour (w/ Vale of Pnath) when they released A Perfect Absolution, the follow up to the Transcendence EP. I can confirm, their playing was AIR TIGHT. They didn’t miss a single note, I swear to god. Anyway, really glad you liked the song!! Subbed
Also the bass line at about 13:10 on the video is one of my favorites to play, especially when they repeat that section in the groovy part that follows all the cool hi hat stuff. The last bass part is super easy to play, too, but it is such a JAM
Only started listening to Gorod a couple of weeks ago, they're becoming one of my favourites real quick. Started on the Aethra album, a lot of groovy things on there with cool recurring riffs. Hadn't heard this yet, no idea why a 2020 release is at the bottom of their spotify page...
Transcendence actually came out like almost a decade or more ago, they just released it recently on their Spotify and it's marked with a 2020 publish date, although it should be like 2010 or 2011 I believe
While not among my favorites, Gorod are definitely a rock solid band. I've enjoyed all their albums (and this EP) even if I wouldn't claim any as being a masterpiece. They just know how to make groovy, catchy, proggy tech-death, which is a pretty rare thing. FWIW, the focus on the low-end in metal mostly started with death metal in the late 80s and became massively popular in the wake of Meshuggah and their use of 8-string guitars in the early 00s. Before then, most of the original metal bands used plenty (if not mostly) mids/highs: Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Mercyful Fate, etc. Part of that was the dominance of Marshall Plexi and JCM amps that were themselves mids/high focus. I agree with you that the emphasis on the low end gets old after a while. I also envy those who can name chords and intervals by ear. I've tried and can't.
Nice, Gorod was the last concert I went to, in February. Who knows when I'll be going to another one? Also, the EP that this song was released on also has two bossa nova remixes of earlier tracks of theirs.
I thought you would appreciate this song! I was genuinely smiling throughout the reaction :) definitely a masterpiece in my mind. Definitely check out some more gorod, their best album is definitely Process of a New Decline. Anyways I'm glad you and most everyone enjoyed it! P. S. Thought of another band for you to check out with some fantastic creative drumming and some good grooves, a Blunt Description of Something Obscene by Protosequence. It's good stuff
best metal song of all time IMO. Gorod is the shit edit: also, you must listen through while reading the lyrics at least once if you haven't. killer lyrics that go with the musical atmosphere to say the least
Your first pronunciation was right, "Gore rod". Great band, I've loved them since the late 2000s. I think they've been kinda inconsistent but their groovy and super technical playing when it's good is incredible. EDIT: Would strongly suggest Fractal Universe - "Masterpiece's Parallelism" for material that's extremely good and very Gorod-esque.
Really appreciate tech-y type bands that don't forget to be catchy and have some groove. Their track "Gorod" is still one of the catchiest things I've ever heard.
AAAHA One of my favorite from france! Now, It has nothing to do with metal but if you don't already know them, I'd recommend Snarky Puppy's "the curtain, or "lingus". I guarantee It will win over any fan of progressive stuff. Anyways, love your selection of songs and take on it , keep it up!
Great band!!!also-You should listen ULCERATE-Cold BECOMING or Stare into death and be still!!!a must if you like Jaw dropping musicality but with a Purpose!!!
I'm so glad that you enjoyed Gorod like this! I've been recommending them like for 1 month long! You should check their 2 latest album so far... So cool stuff! I would also reccomend you to check some Xerath and Trepalium if you wanna dig some more into groovy metal.
I like your videos a lot. Sorry for not being a patreon patron, but based on your comments on Gorod's tendency to go-go-go through parts I think that you should review Stream of Consciousness by Textures from their album Drawing Circles. BTW, there are two guitarists in Gorod.👍
Loving this, glad you discovered them, like others said, maybe not the best first song, this was from their 1st EP with a new beast of a drummer 2011 Btw they're 2 guitarists and they play those 2 melodies live any day, pretty crazy french guys, sadly there's no awesome playthrough with quality sound to showcase them correctly (I mean there are, but only good enough if you know the song imo) And yeah they love those manouche guitar style , gypsy jazz i think in english. I'd love to see you hear a newer song, tipically 3-6 minutes, this was very special for their composition I'll say, The Sentry from their latest album. Crazy stereo 2 guitars playing
Groovy, you say? Dissona - Inverted Swarm, Lapse Into Hysteria Leprous - Illuminate Orphaned Land - Birth of the Three Cangaço - Al Rasif Odradek - Alergia, Nakamura Mastodon - Toe to Toe Also, love your reactions man S2
Excellent! :) Great reaction. I recommended this song some videos ago,, really glad someone patreoned (?) it through :P As for the vocals: For me, something would be missing without them. In general, yes, instrumentals can be cool, but there is something about adding the human voice, in some form or other. Its almost like it becomes a movie score without, and you have to add the story visually (through film) or add it with your imagination. Anyway other songs, these are not like this song though: disillusion - wintertide Wilderun - garden of fire dimmu borgir - morning palace borknagar - thunderous or septicflesh - vampire from nazareth or great mass of death
If you think Gorod gets you, you gotta check out the band "wretched". Check out their instrumentals. Each album has one instrumental. "Cannibal", "beyond the gate part 1-2", "exodus of autonomy", and "stellar sunset of evolution part 1-3" all of these songs are beautiful pieces of art. They approach it from music theory and it's almost like classical music if it were metal. As a musician you will love it. Please check them out! Even if you don't make a video it's worth your time!
Yo! It isn't a perfect homage but the rhythm is unmistakable. Though to be fair, it isn't a super uncommon rhythm so it could be inspired from something adjacent to Blue Rondo a la Turk. But still, fantastic ear!
You've introduced me to a lot of great music, I thank you! If you're interested in adding a little chaos to the mix, try "Here comes the Kraken - Into the slaughter basement" a mexican band that throws down!
I really want to see you reacting to Radiohead , except if you already know them(you probably do).. They have gone full Experimental since 2000, and they have amazing layering and vocal harmonies, truly one of my favourite bands. I suggest Paranoid Android from the album OK computer.
At 5:45 so that’s called a hoquet? French word for hiccup... I’ve always associated this rhythmic pattern with crazy nintendo music when the composer wants to add complexity within the confines of 4 audio channels :)
Yup, though it's spelled 'hocket.' That's a pretty cool association there with older video game music and it's a pretty accurate one at that. Limitation breed creativity, they say, and older VG composers were definitely limited.
@@CriticalReactions they are the bearded groove shamans of the dark prog metal arts. I think you would enjoy them. I'm a big fan of the song "Ghosts of Karelia".
Your channel is a goldmine for discovering new metal! If you want to check out a long, but amazing song i recommend Timeless by Goldie. It’s atmospheric drum & bass, but it’s a masterpiece
Borknagar or Arcturus , this is the shit. Almost every band so called "avantgarde "you react are influenced by them. But they still can not overcome them.
hey, would you mind reacting to Bury Tomorrow not prog, more in the lines of metalcore they've just recently released their new album my favorite from the new album would be Quake
Another great band I find from you! Please check out Soen - Savia and Rishloo - Diamond eyes, also for sure metal is playful!@ just listen to DTs Dance of Eternitys ragtime part and tell me it's not xD
You should check out and react to Oceansize. Every album is flawless. Check out Saturday Morning Breakfast Show or Sleeping Dogs and Dead Lions. You won't be disappointed.
Very good reaction. Gojira isn't the best metal band from France. Usually their songs are around 5 minutes and without clean vocals but it's easy to recognize their style. There are 2 guitarists live. I will always be grateful to the band Necrophagist for starting this subgenre of death metal. In the same vein but slowlier, there is also Carcariass from France. It is more focused on lead guitars than riffs with a lot of sweeping and tapping. You should enjoy the bass a lot. This is the 1st min of 1 song on bass to give you an idea: ua-cam.com/video/vP6KUkq-IP0/v-deo.html
Other songs that you should like as much as this one: "Apparition" from the band Spawn of Possession. "The warrior's Infinite Opus" (instrumental) - Inferi "Dualis Flamel" or "Cast Into Exile" - Equipoise "Ancient Gods Genesis" - Dark Secret Matter (this band is an instrumental clone of Gorod) The bands Shadow of Intent, Inanimate Existence, First Fragment and more.....
Best metal band from France is probably Deathspell Omega IMO. Not a big fan of Gojira, tbh, and I do prefer Gorod. Alcest would be up there too, though a very different thing than any of the others. I wouldn't say Necrophagist "invented" this sub-genre either. Presuming we're talking about tech-death, I see that genre as mostly an evolution starting from the proggy DM of Death, Cynic, Atheist, and Suffocation, then Cryptopsy, then Gorguts, then Necrophagist. Also, Bryan did react to Spawn of Possession, though I don't recall if it was The Apparition.
@@jonathanhenderson9422 Benighted, Scarve, Aephanemer, Hacride, Hectic Patterns, Furia, No Return, Trepalium, Fairyland, Mercyless, Mortuary, Pitbulls in the Nursery, Yyrkoon... are also better, like many bands composing songs with more than 3 guitar riffs. Gojira is good but too boring. I didn't say that Gorod was the best, it depends on everyone taste. Brian reacted to the songs from Spawn of Possession and Inferi so I apologize and I'm gonna watch them. I still think that Necrophagist was the first to combine very brutal death metal with so much melody and groove most of the time. The bands you mentionned are rather brutal or very melodic, not both (Suffocation and Cryptopsy are close though) but I like them all, no question about that. Some of them included jazzy stuffs in their music, Necrophagist didn't but brought something "new" IMO, rather from classical music. Almost all death metal bands are influenced by Death :)
I've found some nice bands on this channel. Not really metal, but i'd suggest the aristocrats. furtive jack from boing! let's do it live is cool....the whole thing is cool really
Please react to Kauan - "Sorni Nai". Kauan is Russian/Ukrainian post rock/doom metal band who sings finnish. The album is a dedication to the infamous Djatlov Pass Incident. ua-cam.com/video/dO02VJEYYEk/v-deo.html Wiki: The Dyatlov Pass incident (Russian: Гибель тургруппы Дятлова) was an event in which nine Russian hikers died in the northern Ural Mountains between 1 and 2 February 1959, in uncertain circumstances. The experienced trekking group, who were all from the Ural Polytechnical Institute, had established a camp on the slopes of Kholat Syakhl, in an area now named in honor of the group's leader, Igor Dyatlov. During the night, something caused them to tear their way out of their tents and flee the campsite, all while inadequately dressed for the heavy snowfall and sub-zero temperatures. After the group's bodies were discovered, an investigation by Soviet authorities determined that six had died from hypothermia while the other three showed signs of physical trauma. One victim had a fractured skull; two others had major chest fractures and the body of one of the group was missing both its eyes. One of the victims was missing a tongue. The investigation concluded that a "compelling natural force" had caused the deaths. Numerous theories have been put forward to account for the unexplained deaths, including animal attacks, hypothermia, avalanche, katabatic winds, infrasound-induced panic, military involvement, or some combination of these. If the reaction of an entire album from an unknown artist feels too risky. So alternatively a single song from another album: Kauan - Tähtien Hiljainen Laulu (Silent Song Of The Stars) ua-cam.com/video/HfZOwzLOROs/v-deo.html
I think it would be awesome if you reacted to the fellow youtuber metal meme-lord Kmac2021 he has released his debut EP IMPOSTER not a long time ago the track to react to would be definitely BUTTERFLY
Transcendence is THE fucking masterpiece. I've studied this song for almost 2 years non stop and it still brings me to tears every friggin' time!

Yup, thats the ultimate tech death epic that is also accesible to almost anyone, quite the accomplishment. Great pick and reaction!!!
another one is Arsis - Diamond for disease, though it's not very accessible for people who dont like tech
Let's face it, it's a goddamn masterpiece.
GOROD YES!
My all time favorite album is Aethra by them!
Check out Bekhten's Curse

Your first pronunciation was right, "Gore rod". Great band, I've loved them since the late 2000s. I think they've been kinda inconsistent but their groovy and super technical playing when it's good is incredible.
EDIT: Would strongly suggest Fractal Universe - "Masterpiece's Parallelism" for material that's extremely good and very Gorod-esque.
Fractal Universe is great 🤘🏻
Funny I love gorod yet can’t stand fractal universe
Really appreciate tech-y type bands that don't forget to be catchy and have some groove. Their track "Gorod" is still one of the catchiest things I've ever heard.
AAAHA One of my favorite from france! Now, It has nothing to do with metal but if you don't already know them, I'd recommend Snarky Puppy's "the curtain, or "lingus". I guarantee It will win over any fan of progressive stuff. Anyways, love your selection of songs and take on it , keep it up!
Nice choice, Connor. I really enjoyed that!
Great band!!!also-You should listen ULCERATE-Cold BECOMING or Stare into death and be still!!!a must if you like Jaw dropping musicality but with a Purpose!!!
Been recommending them too, but I'd probably recommend Withered and Obsolete. Absolutely filthy riffs on that one.
@@jonathanhenderson9422 the best riffs of all time right there..
I'm so glad that you enjoyed Gorod like this! I've been recommending them like for 1 month long! You should check their 2 latest album so far... So cool stuff! I would also reccomend you to check some Xerath and Trepalium if you wanna dig some more into groovy metal.
Had no idea you reacted to Gorod. Whooa
Great pick man! This song is an epic classic
Songs a fucking masterpiece. I love music like this
I was so stocked when they finally put the EP on Spotify after years. Something to do with having self produced it I think
Another great Gorod song would be Celestial Nature. Inner Alchemy and Rejoice Your Soul are also fantastic.
Holy crap. That was an interesting song. Full of surprises. Thoroughly enjoyed.
I like your videos a lot. Sorry for not being a patreon patron, but based on your comments on Gorod's tendency to go-go-go through parts I think that you should review Stream of Consciousness by Textures from their album Drawing Circles.
BTW, there are two guitarists in Gorod.👍
Loving this, glad you discovered them, like others said, maybe not the best first song, this was from their 1st EP with a new beast of a drummer 2011
Btw they're 2 guitarists and they play those 2 melodies live any day, pretty crazy french guys, sadly there's no awesome playthrough with quality sound to showcase them correctly (I mean there are, but only good enough if you know the song imo)
And yeah they love those manouche guitar style , gypsy jazz i think in english.
I'd love to see you hear a newer song, tipically 3-6 minutes, this was very special for their composition
I'll say, The Sentry from their latest album. Crazy stereo 2 guitars playing
Man, I haven't listened to this song in years. It's so fucking good.
Groovy, you say?
Dissona - Inverted Swarm, Lapse Into Hysteria
Leprous - Illuminate
Orphaned Land - Birth of the Three
Cangaço - Al Rasif
Odradek - Alergia, Nakamura
Mastodon - Toe to Toe
Also, love your reactions man S2
Excellent! :) Great reaction. I recommended this song some videos ago,, really glad someone patreoned (?) it through :P
As for the vocals: For me, something would be missing without them. In general, yes, instrumentals can be cool, but there is something about adding the human voice, in some form or other. Its almost like it becomes a movie score without, and you have to add the story visually (through film) or add it with your imagination.
Anyway other songs, these are not like this song though:
disillusion - wintertide
Wilderun - garden of fire
dimmu borgir - morning palace
borknagar - thunderous
or
septicflesh - vampire from nazareth or great mass of death
one of my favourite songs
If you think Gorod gets you, you gotta check out the band "wretched". Check out their instrumentals. Each album has one instrumental. "Cannibal", "beyond the gate part 1-2", "exodus of autonomy", and "stellar sunset of evolution part 1-3" all of these songs are beautiful pieces of art. They approach it from music theory and it's almost like classical music if it were metal. As a musician you will love it. Please check them out! Even if you don't make a video it's worth your time!
12:58 Took me a little while to notice it, but it's actually Blue Rondo à la Turk😀
Yo! It isn't a perfect homage but the rhythm is unmistakable. Though to be fair, it isn't a super uncommon rhythm so it could be inspired from something adjacent to Blue Rondo a la Turk. But still, fantastic ear!
Nice. Instantly had to buy this song. This is what I listen to music for lol. Brilliant song.
2 guitarists. they are super tight live
NICE I HEAR THE BAND 311 ALL THROUGH THIS MUSIC NICE GROOVY STUFF GOOD EPIC FEEL COOL 🤨🧐🤘
For a really extreme technical death experience, make sure to check out "Archspire - Involuntary Doppelganger". You have been warned!
You've introduced me to a lot of great music, I thank you! If you're interested in adding a little chaos to the mix, try "Here comes the Kraken - Into the slaughter basement" a mexican band that throws down!
Gorod's magnum opus? Rare thing on YT tho, good work.
You really want to check the band called Panzerballett. Those guys play some real jazz metal(Giant Steps for example).
interesting, another cool discovery thanks to this channel uwu
Amazing!!! I freaking love this song... Is a Masterpiece
I really want to see you reacting to Radiohead , except if you already know them(you probably do)..
They have gone full Experimental since 2000, and they have amazing layering and vocal harmonies, truly one of my favourite bands.
I suggest Paranoid Android from the album OK computer.
Fantastic song, also their last album is an easy 10/10 for me. Cant wait for a new one.
you should check out "Once Upon a December's Dawn". an experimental music by band called Haggard before they settle with Symphonic Metal.
Holy shit I just found my new favorite band
At 5:45 so that’s called a hoquet? French word for hiccup... I’ve always associated this rhythmic pattern with crazy nintendo music when the composer wants to add complexity within the confines of 4 audio channels :)
Yup, though it's spelled 'hocket.' That's a pretty cool association there with older video game music and it's a pretty accurate one at that. Limitation breed creativity, they say, and older VG composers were definitely limited.
Funny how you criticize the acoustic fade out but it’s for me one of my favorite parts!
Everyone has their own tastes and that's completely OK :)
honestly if i could offer you more metal like this i would, but im on the hunt for some of that stuff too ... >.>
Have you ever spent much time with Mastodon ?
Nope. I'm aware they exist but I don't think I've ever heard a song by them.
@@CriticalReactions they are the bearded groove shamans of the dark prog metal arts. I think you would enjoy them. I'm a big fan of the song "Ghosts of Karelia".
They're on the list so we'll get to them eventually!
Brian's Choice Sunday = Selfish Sunday
I might be stealing that 😅
Your channel is a goldmine for discovering new metal! If you want to check out a long, but amazing song i recommend Timeless by Goldie. It’s atmospheric drum & bass, but it’s a masterpiece
Borknagar or Arcturus , this is the shit. Almost every band so called "avantgarde "you react are influenced by them. But they still can not overcome them.
hey, would you mind reacting to Bury Tomorrow
not prog, more in the lines of metalcore
they've just recently released their new album
my favorite from the new album would be Quake
heard "1914 - The Hundred Days Offensive, Lyrics"? would be great to hear your opinion
Check out nihil by aquilus.
you should do either blot or swim to the moon by btbam
Loved Gorod before. Never knew of this song until now. Going to listen to it solo! No to Periphery. xD
GOROD, heh? I like it !!!
Another great band I find from you! Please check out Soen - Savia and Rishloo - Diamond eyes, also for sure metal is playful!@ just listen to DTs Dance of Eternitys ragtime part and tell me it's not xD
Gorod are fantastic! If you're looking for something else a little bit different I'd suggest the band Destrage.
React to papermoon by plini
When reaction to Tigran Hamaysin?
Can you please react to Dir en grey - The world of mercy?
You might wanna listen Cynic-how could I
some of the grooviest shit there is
Suggestion
Listen to a band called Blotted science it's crazy
This is the 1st min of 1 song on bass to give you an idea:
ua-cam.com/video/vP6KUkq-IP0/v-deo.html
Other songs that you should like as much as this one:
"Apparition" from the band Spawn of Possession.
"The warrior's Infinite Opus" (instrumental) - Inferi
"Dualis Flamel" or "Cast Into Exile" - Equipoise
"Ancient Gods Genesis" - Dark Secret Matter (this band is an instrumental clone of Gorod)
The bands Shadow of Intent, Inanimate Existence, First Fragment and more.....
The album is a dedication to the infamous Djatlov Pass Incident.
ua-cam.com/video/dO02VJEYYEk/v-deo.html
Wiki: The Dyatlov Pass incident (Russian: Гибель тургруппы Дятлова) was an event in which nine Russian hikers died in the northern Ural Mountains between 1 and 2 February 1959, in uncertain circumstances.
So alternatively a single song from another album: Kauan - Tähtien Hiljainen Laulu (Silent Song Of The Stars) ua-cam.com/video/HfZOwzLOROs/v-deo.html
react to atheist mother man :)
I think it would be awesome if you reacted to the fellow youtuber metal meme-lord Kmac2021
he has released his debut EP IMPOSTER not a long time ago
the track to react to would be definitely BUTTERFLY
its pronounced gorod
