I knew I had to make one more after the finale. To get it out of my system. Did it work? probably not lmao but it does help dealing with the fact that s2 is so far away (but hey at least it's coming, right??)
I had a very hard time finding a good song for this one and trying not to repeat the themes and sequences I already did in the previous one. But I really dig how it turned out in the end, cause let me tell you, it was a mess for a long time
I was thinking about how a piece of media can leave you after you finish watching it. When the screen goes black and you're left with your thoughts about it. So, if you're reading this, what feelings/thoughts stuck with you after watching this?
Arcane... has become my favorite series of all time. Not just because of these two, tho they were a huge part of it, I admit. They're so soft and tender, and understanding and they grow because and with each other chef's kiss And not just as a couple, but as individual characters, you know? But I think I'll take some time now to try to regain balance and control over my life as I have been living and breathing arcane for 3 weeks in a row now- the chokehold they have me in is real lol. But! I still want to make a Vi&Jinx one and also found a song for Jinx only, so, expect those in a bit

I love their gentle and subtle cheek strokes, so elegant and sweet at the same time, showing great intimacy and without the implication of lust like Mel and Jayce relationship. Vi and Caitlyn's emotion is pure trust and understanding and respect for each other, that's hell of a healthy relationship, might be the most healthy one in the entire series.
exactly! I think the main difference is that Cait and Vi's intentions are clear and honest from the beginning, that's why they get off on the wrong foot because they don't hide their prejudices of each other. then as they learn more about the other they start to see who they really are as a person, and that honesty transfers to their partnership/friendship seamlessly. meanwhile Mel started the relationship with Jayce with manipulation and from that grew attraction and later love. it's nowhere near what Vi and Caitlyn have
ngl I think they pretty lusty as well Riot just isn't willing to show it
@@podefunder nope! one of the writers confirmed that they on purpose approached the two romances differently and it was meant to be more intimate for Vi and Cait than the straight romance. don't forget there's season 2 that they knew from the beginning. if we get one full romance well developed, I'd take that over a kiss scene before it's time feels right, anyday
@@SnowFalls3 yeah, this slow burn is so much better than rushing their relationship just for pleasing the fans right away. Romance should be done right if they want me to ship it 😂. They have a whole season to expand on their bond, I'm so happy they chose to write the story the way they did.
Well...I don't think we need to compare because both romances are different and valid in their own ways. Jayce and Mel knew each other for years. There was years worth of build up between them before they finally did the deed 😁. It's true that at first their relationship was about selfish manipulation...but later it turned into love. And I'm ok with that... because Mel is a complex character...one of my favourites in fact...and that gorgeous woman could do with some true love in her life. She's never known true love before...given how she was banished by her own mother. I like their story... because Mel tried to change Jayce, and in some ways she did, but Jayce ended up changing her too. If it wasn't for Jayce, we would never have seen the softer side of her. And I love that.
Now...when it comes to Vi and Caitlyn, they are...of course without doubt...my favourite couple. Is there anyone sweeter than Caitlin in the entire show? No! She really is a cupcake 😊😊. I adore how Vi and Caitlyn are so different from each other, and yet... despite all those differences, the show draws them closes together minute by minute...until everyone can see how good the two are for each other. They balance each other more. Those subtle cheek touches and looks...they leave the audience aching for more. And I'm glad they didn't kiss or make love yet... because they have known each other only for a couple of days at the most. Sure...the show could have made them be physically intimate...but I'm glad they didn't right away. I like this strategy of a gradual build up of longing glances and chemistry that leaves the audience aching for more. I just hope that the show ensures that when they finally do make love...the payoff is fantastic and poetic and beautiful...like all of our dreams coming true!! Sorry for the long winded reply. But I'm obsessed with them! 😁
their interactions are so natural and sincere ... they are just so damn cute.

this video made me realize how caitlyn actually saved vi, first from the prison cell, then seeing her as a person/equal, both of them began to shed their prejudices, freeing Vi both physically and emotionally, then helping and trusting her,
thus vi began to confide in her and trust and help her, showing that they're partners in an equal relationship, working together on the same page overall, and staying side-by-side (literally lol) and they formed a practically unbreakable bond

I think you worded it really well, how they have their own issues and ways of protecting themselves, but at the end of the day they realize that they can and should rely on each other, and it makes them a perfect team in the investigation, and ultimately romantic partners too. and we got to see the trust build on screen with their rocky start, which makes it even more layered for us. I can't wait to see what they're gonna build on top of this
Is it just me or is Caitlyn one of the kindest people in this show. She doesn't use her status and she thinks of Vi as an equal. And vi being an absolute queen at everything and fun to hang out with. They are such good hearted people
agreed! Caitlyn is special because she has seen the brutality and harshness of the real world and yet still chooses to try to do the right thing, to see the good in people and believe in redemption. I think that's what Vi sees in her too, and warms up to her eventually :) I think Vi thought nobody could be that way cause the world is shitty, and when she met Cait she was very untrusting, thinking there is an underlying malicious intent. but yeah, they are what the other needed perfect and I could talk about them all day :)

Ah watching these videos make me realize that I need them to have more screentime together on season 2... I love this couple!
I love Vi facial expressions when Caitlyn talks about how undercity people need help and so on, you can really see how she starts trusting and admiring her, even though she's an enforcer and basically represents everything she hates from topsiders... I'ts going to be really interesting when she starts working with Caitlyn, I'd love to see that transition.

@@SnowFalls3 definitely! Even though I want them to be together so bad, I finally started appreciating the way writers are developing the characters and their relationship. Little steps... that mean the world to them. I'd rather enjoy the journey :)
@@shallandavar6565 exactly! this way when they do get together (I strongly believe they will) it will be all that more rewarding and cathartic. especially since they're partners, it'll add a lot of layers to their later relationship too, without which it would just feel shallow imo
I'm scared, they wont have same relationship as in season 1 :/. I think they will split up and go their own way... Caitlyn will want to revenge for what Jinx done.. I don't want them to split up or just leave theirself, they are so cute together. Let's just wait and see what will happen between them. Hope they'll not do some other stories with new charakters (I mean why not, but I want Vi, Cait, Jinx, Viktor, Mel and Jayce to stay in season2). I want to know what will be next between them, hope everything will be good and that they will be happy together
Caitlyn genuinely cares about other people, just like Vi. That's what brought them together and is what makes them work so well together.
They had such a closed relationship but then as time went on the trust built up and then they were more open with one another and it is just so beautiful. Also Vi is like a queen when fighting.

I love how you can clearly see development of their relationship... ❤
I was BLINDSIGHTED by how direct the tension was and how open the writers have been about it being intentional. Not to mention teasing further development and even a possible kiss in season 2. It feels good to finally have more overt representation with queer female main characters between this, the Owl House and Harley Quinn. If they do the same thing with queer male characters, even better.

But on a real note-I've been watching a lot of these edits and it reminds me of my film classes. We'd be given assignments to edit the same footage. It was always so interesting to see how different everyone's projects ended up when we all started with the same source material. I really loved some of the transitions you used here. Also made me recognize some visual parallels I hadn't before. Very cool. I loved the song too.

Nope. Jinx got to see Caitlyn naked lol. Watch the shower scene again. As soon as Caitlyn realizes that jinx is in the bathroom with her, you can see jinx’s reflection in the mirror (just right before it transitions to a new scene). She must have done the same thing to Caitlyn as she did to Vi and Silco, knocking her out from behind. So jinx must have put the enforcer outfit on Caitlyn 😁
everytime i see someone say that this relationship seems rushed or forced... i... i dont get it. idk if they are either blind or just homophobic...
the writers have literally given you breadcrumbs to follow, and they still cant... it do be sad.

You're so talented, I'm absolutely impressed. Arcane it's also one of my favorite series of all time, tho I'll let time pass a little to say if it is my favorite one. Not a huge fan of the series format (it feels like a responsibility), but there are a few ones, like Arcane, that just stay with you.
Yes, the characters are INCREDIBLE. I fell in love with almost all of them. Vi and Cait are an excellent couple because they both are excellent individually. And, of course, the enemies-to-friends-to-lovers is a trope that will never die.
Thanks for this edit, I'll rewatch it many times hahaha same with the previous one. And I'll be waiting for the Vi&Jinx too, Jinx is such a complex character, she deserves an edit with her relationship with Vi.

I didn't think it was possible, but this edit is even better than the first one you made with them. The scenes are just so beautifully matched with the voiceovers, and the song hits a very soft spot in my heart. Brilliant work, gets me crying every time.

Awe well i did comment on the first one i seen but man i can't help it. Goodness they are just so pure and soft i can't stop obsessing over this fact. Fortiche did so fucking good on the pure emotions just from micromovements of even the pupils. It really feels so real and genuine. These two are such good examples on how romantic tension should be done. Gah love the show so much. I also feel you on the needing to check out for a bit with over obsessing. Same here man i made my first two videos of arcane and i already been an obsessive over fandoms type of person and that just fueled it even more. Not that im ever not gonna be that way but it seems like when it takes over too much of my thinking space or subconscious that i start to lack myself care and even start to compare my life or something like that and go down a rabbit hole of sadness. Your video... I'm speechless. I've always liked edits but you found the perfect way to show small details (eyes, gestures, etc.) and turn into something beautiful. Some edits are fun to watch but yours was an emotional one that really touches the heart. I find myself having a hard time with my daily life and sometimes watching clips or edits of such a great show that left you speechless is comforting.
