So fun watching you build this with your dad, makes me miss being in the woods with my dad...special memories for sure.
Love the content. Please keep it coming. I look forward to watching these when released. My three year old son doesn’t understand it, but one day he will. One day he will.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the bears!! Enjoy your humor.
Don't worry Graeme whether people like your content or not. They do. Well, I know I do for sure!
You are not unique in what you do, but you are one of a kind in how you do them! This Offgrid Cabin Build is great to follow!
Crapingham Palace is coming along nicely.
😂😂
Hey man, been a long time follower and I just gotta say this has been my favorite series so far. The original cabin was obviously amazing, and I do follow along with all your other misc. projects, but the ADVENTURE of this one mixed with your building roots is really doing it for me. Cheers from Wisconsin.
Looks awesome! Flip the window around so the latch is on the bottom. That way you can just put a rustic latch to keep it open. Cheers!
Something as majestic as the Taj Poohal can’t be built in a day!
Ohhhhhh this is incredible! Using this name for sure!
This sure is some crispy quality content that's cooking! Get after it! Dookie den for life!
The Thunder Hut is lookin dope!
Mr. G! The word you were looking for is "perlin". That is a structural member of your roof that is installed at a 90 degree angle to your trusses. In other words; when your trusses are completed they become the side-rails of multiple ladders and the perlins become the rungs. So, trusses run north to south and perlins run east to west. :)
Your crapper is quite dapper also! Thanks!
Great info, and I love your last comment!
Yes! Perlin!
Did a good job with the phone. Poo Palace is looking tops :)
i created an app to give this channel and automatic thumbs up! then i watch the videos and am never disappointed. awesome and inspirational work!
At 10:25 I call ‘em outlookers. Cool property, nice out house, funny bears.
Nice brother! Can't wait to watch, keep up the amazing work :)
I feel like a new man when I come out of the dookie den
As far as views from a dookie den go..
Thats right up there with the best of em amigo!!
👋😎👍
The potty palace is looking great!
The bears will love it 😅
Was expecting the overhang to be longer to store things under but its looking great, especially for what it is.
Great way to start my Saturday morning. Enjoying the videos
Really enjoy how you put your heart and soul into everything you build. Dookie den is a case in point. Thanks for taking along on the journey. Have a great day. Peace!
I'm sure there's a '' is a bear craps in the woods and no one sees him does he''.......joke in there somewherwhere. Thanks bud!
Hahahaha
With the tilted brim, the Dookie Den looks like it’s name should be, “Dook Holiday” and he’s looking damn good.
8:08 Nice Scott Hall “yeah… we don’t care.”
9:08 Pretty Pretty Pretty Good 🤌🏽
10:55 😂😂😂
The Evacuation Station. That’s my suggestion and I am sticking to it.
It's quite perfect cabinet, maestro! My congratulations! Your lovely videos cause me be better and do some things at home by my hands 🤝
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️❤️❤️
You’ve gotta pay your camera dude something extra for all that amazing cinematography! Nicely done G! 🤘🌲🏠🇨🇦🍩
Are you going to have some sort of chimney/vent for the defecation station?
Absopooply
The one handed build! Nice job!
It looks great!
It’s got to feel good, knocking one project off the list…also, it’s so nice that you were able to work with your dad - I know it’s cliché, but the memories you’ve made/ will make, are priceless!
So true!
At 13:13, look at that cutie pine hugging the D den, you two will be buddies;-) I'm really loving this series Graham, esp when your parents were along to help. The best was when your Dad was squatting and you had the measuring tape out to check the seat height. The important things in life😂
Hahahahaha the memories!
Totally craving an ice cream sandwich now.
it's a workable caca box, i'm sure it'll look nice when your done.
There’s just something about going out with an idea, a half plan on how to achieve that idea and then working through those steps and making some steps on the fly. Gotta love challenging yourself. Keep up the content man really helps me remember not everyone is a “professional” and you don’t have to be to get er done.
Looking good! Bear activity is a little scary. Hope you don't run across one during the day.
Loving the crisp content on the outhouse! Looks great so far!
You know you've made it on UA-cam when there's a bot impersonating your account but there's only one semi professional amateur
Is there another bot?! THEY MUST BE DESTROYED.
That window doubles as a table while doing the stank for all your dumping needs.
It will be the new work from home
Holy Woodness Turtleheadness baby!!!! The outhouse is really coming together now. Hey I have an idea on learning how to use your framing square ..... go on squarespace lol. Those bears are probably smelling all the lumber you and your dad have handled and maybe had residue of food on your hands. It is amazing what they can detect with those noses. Brother you need and old 90s full size bronco or pickup with big off road tires and 6" raise to bring all of ur stuff back and forth. You don't even have to register it just leave it on the property with no plates. Keep getting after it and thanks for keeping us entertained.
Make a railing that the windows 'falls' against. Also usefull to dry a towel or a shirt. The window then opens only a couple of inches. And if it still stinks in there, go see a docter or just take three breaths over the lungs 😉. It'll be gone then!
Hahahhahahahahahha
Muy bueno in such an imperfect way! Crisp content that's cooking! Wow, now I'm hungry for Mexican food 🙂 Looks great, one of the best dookie dens ever!!
Great way to wake up... Thanks for the content
Love the little tips like using the square, screwing until slight gasket compression, where to screw the roofing, etc... Please keep doing this! I love to learn
You are doing a great job, Thank you!
Love it, buddy! Looking good!
Awesome video man❤
The Volvorine!
Looks beautiful 😍. Those bears worry me.😬 Stay safe. Love your channel. Sorry your dad and mom had to go. Glad they got to visit you and your family as long as they did. Great family. Peace and good fortune and good health to you and your family and. 😃
I miss your old opening montage!!!
Stool shed looks good.
Maybe invest in a side by side with a bed? Leave it on property so you'll have something to drive around the property with.
Made the mistake of missing lots of the teardrop camper series and promised not to make that mistake again. I am INVESTED in this dookie den.
😂😂❤️❤️
Great skills with the circular saw 👍
Dandy dookey den design!
Good job
The bears wanna take a crap in the outhouse, better get a move on Graham 🐻💩
Quality construction and great filming with the phone!! Glad to see your work quality is being thoroughly inspected by the bears. I’m sure they are suitably impressed and look forward to seeing their further adventures in quality control!!
Hahahahaha
Hey Buddy, I hope you have more than that little can of Bear spray. Mama Bear with her cub can be over protective.
Here for the outhouse wisdom
I made a couple of shed doors out of 2x6 and 1/2" ply. Squared up the 2x6 then built a 3 panel frame with them , made a 1/2" rabbit around the inside of the frames and inset the 1/2 ply. They came out great looking, simple to build and cheap. You could sub a piece of plexi in in the top panel. Just an idea.
Great entertainment buddy… Those bears are entertained also eh? 😂😂👌🏼👍🏼😁
The personal “log” cabin looks great.
For the door, I would go with something super basic and simple for now. Like a sheet of plywood on a frame with a couple hinges. Just get’er closed in for now before the weather gets too inclement
I was gonna say you need bear spray inside the John in case you get a visitor but you beat me to it. Don’t want to have a spooky dookie 👀🐻
SPOOKY DOOKIE hahaha I love it!
So far you are missing some key parts for an out house. Mostly the actual poop management (drainage and venting). You need a vent from the hole to the outside in order to minimize odours in the space. And drainage /filtration is key to release safe and clean waste water back in the wild. You should look into it!
When you said you forgot something, I thought you were going to say toilet paper 🧻.
😂😂
Speaking of Dookie Den, I just dropped the kids off at the pool. Its looking good.
😂😂😂
I wonder if you could possibly pull the teardrop camper up to the top with your tractor or even with the 4-wheeler? Set it up and that way you have options of spending a Fri-Sun weekend up there working so that you get the most of the daylight we have left right now.
I’d love to…hard to do though without my family. I’d miss them too much!
@@WoodnessGoodness Yeah, I get that. Just so few hours now after the time change. Either way I'm digging your work. Nice plot of land you have there...I'm sure you'll have it covered with small cabins in no time! :)
As far as your door goes ...you better contact your local building authority to get the bear 🐻 facts on it ,cause it looks like they are already keeping a very close eye on your projects lololol....but seriously looking good !!
🐻🐻🐻
Afton Mountain!
Nice crapper shack, would an electric fence unit be strong enough to stop the bears if they try to get into anything ? We don't have bears in my country so I have no idea how stubborn they are.
Possibly. At this point I’m not too concerned as long as I don’t leave food anywhere. It’s kinda fun to see what they do while I’m gone!
Love the channel as always, few questions maybe you answered here.
How far away is this property from your house?
Why haven't you cut in a quad path/jeep trail yet, spending lots of time hauling back and forth it seems.
Loving all this, lots of inspiration for my future, keep it up!
I am about 1 1/2 hours from the property. I can get decently far with my Jeep up the trail but don’t always drive it. Comes down to affordability at the moment! Saving up for a little work truck to get me up and down!
Great looking shitter!
Don’t cut the pine tree! It looks great next to the outhouse. Make some sort of support so it bends away a bit from the outhouse. 👍👌
Just an outhouse. Have fun. who cares if it's not perfect brother. just use a three simple door hinges for the door. As for the window just take some scrap wood and put little blocks on each side of so it stops it from coming down at the point you like. we call that a custom build. LOLOLOL may need to reenforce it to make bear proof though
Hey Graham, check out Bush radical’s UA-cam channel. He builds an out house and give us some pretty good advice while doing it. He stresses to put a plastic panel on the inside of your Dookie box to keep the splash from getting your wood all rotten and nasty.
It may be worth your time to watch his build, before you finish yours brother!
Yes yes yes yes!!!! I have some leftover roofing that has its future home! It will receive golden showers as its new home.
Enjoying the build, looking sturdy and nice :)
Is it possible that you have mounted that window upside down tough? 😬
Haha it’s a basement hopper window so that’s how they open. Weep holes are on the bottom. But I know I questioned it too.
Thats makes sense 😅👌🏻
Leave the camera on the den - you will solve the one question man has always pondered “Does a bear sh*t in the woods”
😂🤣😂🤣
If it weren’t for the sense of humor …. 😂 Maybe that’s not accurate but it sure makes it enjoyable
*Let's Graham After It* I'm now saying this when I have a big day in front of me.
typically you would have fly-outs...
Forgive the question. Why do you use Milwaukee tools? My drill just died and I am looking for a new brand. Thank you.
Question, do you ever find yourself talking to yourself aloud when you’re not filming? Just going full autopilot basically.
All the time. If I had a camera man, it would be nothing but gold.
😂😂😂
Disappointed....
The outhouse is dope and all BUT! We didn't get that shirtless pose😔
🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Outhouse with a sombrero? You mean La Casa de Caca?
❤️❤️😂😂😂
Are you going to insulate?
Not sure!
hmmmm, that window is going to be problematic, but, who am I to $#!]% on your shed. Could you put it higher up the wall and drop a screen / lexan sheet in for the view? So a bear says to a rabbit "When you hit the Dookie Den, does poop get stuck k in your fur?".
😂😂😂😂 it could be a work from home office desk?
@@WoodnessGoodness I'm thinking more of a head injury inducing blue streak generator...
First! 🪵 ❤
❤️❤️
Rake board....
Do those bears shit in the woods
😂😂😂
Ha. I didn’t see your finger over the lens once. Nice video with your phone.
Why don’t you bring your dogs up with you to keep you company? They’d love it.
I know I really should once more. They are pretty old and get so tired.
@@WoodnessGoodness Yeah, I feel the same way…. old and tired😂
Poo Palace
Why don’t you just flip the window upside down
I could, the weep holes would be up too so not sure if that would mess me up when it rained
What lol ? You make it sound like a week is fast to put up something like, 2 6x8 side walls, 1 3x8 back wall, a 3x6 floor and roof.. tbh it shouldn't take more than a day, Unless you are taking hour breaks every half hour.
I guess it’s because I have to truck everything up the mountain…
@@WoodnessGoodness yeah that's true, you aren't working on it a straight 8 hours, plus you are making the video
I'm ugly as sin, it's the only beautiful thing about me. 😢
