    Recently purchased this club and tried it out on the course - right off the bat, I can say this WILL STAY IN THE BAG.
    I've only had one other club that i feel is an absolute game changer for me and this is the second one. I've had several wedges thru the years - from Miura's, to Vegas to PXGs and my last one was the CBX2. I have to say, this club is magic. I play off a 5 so I do have some idea on how to play my wedges - but this just makes it so much easier. Chips, half pitches, full pitches - everything is easy.
    It's a tad heavy so it may take a round or two to get used to the feel - but once I got used to it - I can dial in my distances from 25 to 80y (full swing of my 60).
    The only downsides:
    1) You can play it off super tight lies (deadpan or really hard pack sand) - as the club will literal bounce off the turf.
    2) They only make it in 58* and 60* - if they had a 54* one, I'd surely put that in as well.
    If you are on the fence - I suggest you try one - 9/10 you will end up putting this in your bag.

    I've seen a couple reviews of this club, and my honest opinion so far is that it might be the club of the year. There are so many golfers out there that struggle at some aspect of bunker, tight lies, 40 yard half swing, the chunking & blading disease that I can see almost anyone playing this club - from guys on the PGA Tour to beginners - and you can't say that about any golf club that isn't a putter. The only shot you won't be able to play with this club is the low spinner - but that is PGA Tour stuff and not for anyone who isn't practicing their wedges hours a day.

    Had one delivered yesterday, took it to the range this morning. It’s an absolutely amazing wedge. Always struggled out of bunkers, here everything came out. Only have to work on distance control. Chip shots, and pitching up-to 50-60 meters are quite easy. Considering to replace rest of my SM7 lineup with TM hi-toe 🤔

    I've got 58 version of last years the hi lob and love it... this might be an option if I was looking to replace it. Nice demonstration of the wedges versatility Ali

      I have the 58 degree as well. I’m a 13 handicap and my biggest weakness is the sand. I’m going to pick the bad boy up!!

    I currently have a space in my Bag for a Lob Wedge, so this is of interest.
    I just wish you had tested it with the short chip shot from the 2nd cut/Rough around the Green (which is my dreaded shot) that costs on every round.

    Hi Ali - what is the club like on full shots - 80 yards out where you would be looking to hit a full 60 degree?

  • @X5OWL

    Do you think this wedge would work in lower lofts like 50 & 56* ??

    • @cryptocolton1717

      Ian Matthews it only comes in 60 and possibly 58

    the 60 is my go to flop shot, cant see doing that with 15 bounce? shouldnt 56 be 15 and 60 like 8 or 10?

    How would this wedge work for someone that doesn't have a problem with divots but the opposite, tendency to hit it thin?

    • @AliTaylorGolf
      @AliTaylorGolf  4 роки тому

      Should still be good, sounds more like at low point control issue in your swing.

      Larry Davis exactly what I was asking myself also, would be really intresting to see or hear about this

    • @hdzz
      @hdzz 5 років тому

      im guessing it doesn't fair well on flop shots or it would of been included, massive part of the lob wedges job to get you out of trouble.

    • @robbarn
      @robbarn 5 років тому +1

      Yes I have seen other reviews saying the same. But it still seems to be a really good allround club when used as intended, not opening up etc. and with 60 you could manage without maybe

      What are the ground conditions like where you play, soft or firm? Whats the sand like, soft or firm and what does your bad shot tend to.be?

      I've got 58-degree big foot. one wedge from 70m (full shot) to 60m, 50m, 40m, 30m (partial shots) and chipping around the green. the only thing i'm still learning about this wedge is how make high shots from a hard bunker.
